Recently, I started having issues with my thumb and was diagnosed with trigger finger. The only reason I initially went to another doctor was because I didn't know that Dr. Heyrani treated trigger finger. Had I known, I would have gone to him from the beginning. The other doctor recommended surgery and wanted to schedule it for the very next day. I was also told that I would basically have no downtime. I was hesitant about the information I was given, so I decided to contact Dr. Heyrani's office. When they confirmed that he does treat trigger finger, I immediately scheduled an appointment with him. I explained my experience to Dr. Heyrani, and he took the time to go over my condition and ALL of my options. He explained that if I choose to proceed with surgery, I should expect about two weeks of downtime, which sounded much more realistic to me. For now, I decided to go with a steroid injection to hopefully give me some relief for the next few months. If I do need surgery, I already know I will be returning to Dr. Heyrani. What I appreciate most about Dr. Heyrani is that he is informative, HONEST, and gives you different options instead of making you feel like surgery is your only choice. I really value a doctor who takes the time to explain everything and allows you to make an informed decision about your care.
