Miranda my awesome LVN at the surgical center.

Hello friends, I just would like to let people know about a wonderful place to go if you ever need surgical procedures. Unfortunately I've had to go there twice now. Both experiences have been amazing. At least the staff that I dealt with. I've dealt with a second nurse now and her name was Antoinnette. They seem to be really good at hiring people that comfort you before you go into surgery people are super friendly and you would feel like you have known them all your life. I was so so blessed to have this nurse before I went under. Otherwise I would've probably been an exciting filled wreck. Praying never have to go but if you do need to this is the place that would make you feel safe and comfortable. Mine were just for surgical check ups but I still had to go under. I was scared and both times each nurse were just amazing.. Just an FYI. Thank you Antoinnette

Ooof. Still swollen.

Man, was I ever nervous about having surgery. I've been with Kaiser for over 40 years, and when I recently broke my foot and got a trimalleolar fracture of my ankle, I was already bummed to have to have surgery, but then I learned I would also not be having the surgery in a Kaiser facility. I read all these reviews and you people really messed me up, talking about rude people, a horrible receptionist, hours of wait beyond your scheduled surgery, and rushed out with no recovery time. Cripes. I was so nervous going in. However, my own experience was absolutely fantastic. Very, very professional and kind staff, friendly smiles, help at every turn with my scooter and accommodating my husband and son who were waiting for me in the waiting room. My nurse (Tori) was a doll, very sweet and spent time making sure I was comfortable and was made aware of everything that was happening. She stayed with me for a while telling me the story about her own recent break and reassuring me that I was in good hands with my surgeon and anesthesiologist. She seemed to really care that I was relaxed and reassured. She even laughed at my stupid puns and half-assed jokes. I met with both my surgeon and anesthesiology and MAN, were they nice people. They answered every one of my questions, found out answers for concerns I had that they weren't in charge of, and absolutely reassured me at every possible turn to be sure I knew I was going to be okay. I'm an ultra fast metabolizer on top of all my worries, and the anesthesiologist listened to my every concern and explained to me how exactly the sedation and being under general would affect me before, during, and after the surgery. I went in to the surgery very confident in these men who had my health and ability to walk in their hands and it went off beautifully. I'm now in a surgical splint and after the expected first few days of pain management, am doing just fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this facility, the staff, and the surgeons and medical staff. :)

He explained everything clearly, took his time to answer all my questions, and made the whole screening process feel calm and stress-free. I felt truly cared for and confident throughout the visit. It's not easy to find a doctor who is both highly knowledgeable and genuinely attentive - Dr. Lee is exactly that. Highly recommend!

Always asking for consent and personal feedback such as: feelings, thoughts, unlimited of questions. Dr. Lee is genuinely out for us the patients and our best interest. I've met with multiple other GI Docs and left feeling disregarded, minimized, disrespected, confused, and quite frankly treated like a dollar sign. I honestly have never felt more seen and comfortable with Dr. Lee. I don't have one bad thing to say about him or his staff. I highly recommend him! A shout out to Yasmeen. I'm always emailing and calling her, she's so nice, very knowledgeable, patient with me, and so understanding. She works very hard and is on top of everything. I always get a fast response no matter what. Even though it's probably not necessarily her job she always helps me. Not once has she made me bad or an inconvenience to her. She's super friendly, down to earth and still professional. Thank you so much. We need more cool peeps like you and Dr. Lee respectfully of course in the medical field.

Before entering the room, we specifically asked if we could all go in, and we were told yes. As we walked in, Nayeli, one of the assistants, made a snarky comment in Spanish, saying, "Se trajeron toda la casa" ("They brought the whole house"). The other receptionist then rudely said, "Mete más sillas al cuarto" ("Put more chairs in the room"). Their comments and tone immediately made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I stepped out of the room to get the receptionist's name, and as I opened the door, I heard Nayeli telling the doctor, "There's a full house in there." I asked her name, and she identified herself as Nayeli. I then asked the doctor how I could report her behavior, and the manager was brought in to address the situation. When I explained what happened, the manager told me that they always make everyone feel at home. I responded that we felt everything but at home or welcome. I understand that usually only one person may accompany a patient, but that does not excuse the way we were treated. We asked permission before entering, and we were told yes. We did not simply walk in without asking. The issue was not the office's policy regarding how many people could accompany a patient. The issue was the disrespectful attitude, sarcastic comments, and lack of professionalism. If there was a problem with having multiple people in the room, it could have been communicated politely and respectfully. Patients and their families deserve to feel comfortable and respected when visiting a medical office. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses how patients and their families are treated by the front desk staff.

After that, I had an ultrasound of my liver and found an issue so I made an appointment. Unfortunately I was seen by a nurse practitioner who launched into the results from a while ago that I already talked to the dr. about. Update: No one answers the phone down there and instead an "AI" assistant answers but offers no help. My appointment with the dr has been scheduled 5 months out. The Dr is great- his support staff, including the snotty NP, is not helpful or caring.

No one takes responsibility for the total care of the patient here . The office staff controlled solve, the portal doesn't contain results or provide easy assess to enter information regarding history ,medications etc At My first visit ,Dr Solaimani ordered labs and other tests unbeknownst to me. The office staff scheduled an appointment for me to follow up with the doctor two months after the first appointment for which I had to pay a $70 co-pay and my insurance was billed several hundred dollars. When I got there, they told me I hadn't done the labs the Dr had ordered. I inquired as to why I wasn't notified of the labs at the first visit , there answer was " well we must've had a student who put you in the room and she didn't enter your specific lab you use into the computer " . When I ask about why there was no follow-through on this why no one called me to inquire about why I hadn't had the labs before my appointment, they said oh we don't do that. We don't have any way to know about that. They kept referring to possibly a student that made mistakes the last time I was there. No one wanted to take accountability and they couldn't explain the process of how these things are normally done. It sounds like computers run this office, not thinking responsible people. The nurse practitioner I saw (when I had scheduled an appointment with the Dr) spent only 6 minutes with me informing me "all the results of my previous colonoscopy was normal) something the Dr told me after the procedure. Then ushered me out to schedule another appointment in two months after I complete the labs they had "previously ordered. When I ask about why I didn't see the doctor at this visit, as previously scheduled I was told "oh you have to tell us when you come in so we can put you in the right room to see the Dr." "We don't know who your appointment is with!" This office needs an overhaul from the top down! I feel they just want to schedule expensive procedures such as colonoscopies and EGD's , bill your insurance then dismiss you after they have completed these .I will not return!
