I also didn't love that I would see a different person almost every time I went in for treatments. It just felt like I had to keep re explaining my goals over and over. I decided to try Skin Theory, and I'm really glad I did. They were able to get me in pretty quickly, and overall they just seem a lot more flexible with scheduling. One of the biggest things for me is consistency, and so far I've seen the same provider, Nurse David, which I really appreciate. It makes a huge difference when someone is already familiar with your face and what you're trying to achieve. David has been amazing. I went in for preventative injectables and specifically wanted to try Daxxify, which they offer. He was very attentive, listened to everything I was saying, and I never felt rushed, especially during my first consultation. He's very detail oriented and you can tell he genuinely cares about his work and his clients. He also answered all my questions thoroughly and made me feel really comfortable. One other thing I really appreciated was that he actually called me around the 7 day mark after my injections just to check in and see how I was doing. That's something I never experienced at the other place I used to go to, and it really shows how much he cares about his patients and their results. I had my first visit about two weeks ago and just went back yesterday for a follow up. I'm still fairly new to injectables, so I had more questions and even decided to add a couple of new areas I've never treated before. He walked me through everything again and made sure I felt confident moving forward. So far I'm really happy with my results and the overall experience. I was told they would be uploaded to my Symplast portal, which never happened. Because of this delay, I was forced to undergo emergency surgery without access to my own medical records; something that should never happen and could have had serious consequences. To make matters worse, the doctor's office has continued to refuse to provide my records, which is a direct violation of California Health and Safety Code §123110. Patients have a legal right to timely access their medical information, and that right was completely disregarded in my case. I have now filed a formal complaint with the Medical Board of California. This experience has been not only frustrating but alarming. Patients deserve transparency, timely access to their records, and a standard of care that prioritizes their safety. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
