I have never in all of my many years encountered a company that is so incompetent. They could not find my doctors orders, they stated there fax machine was broken. would not call my doctors office. I left this office and they told my doctors office they were processing the results. Now I'm no Rocket Scientist but if you could not find the doctors orders, how could you of done the blood tests my doctors ordered. This Laboratory should not be in business. They are truly incompetent. Please do not do business with Laboratory. Mistakes I know can be made but this is truly incompetence!!!! Facility is very easy to find. Check in process quick & painless. People in their are very nice & good at what they do. I always have to have them bring in the "expert" when drawing blood but once they do it goes super fast! Will definitely go here again for my routine work :) read more

I never write reviews anymore for places, but I felt like I had to make an exception. I took my 15 month old for bloodwork today. She doesn't like to sit still and I had to resort to Ms Rachel on YouTube to distract her. I got called up to the front desk to check her in and was greeted by Latricia. She was incredibly sweet and spoke to my daughter like she was more than just a random baby who came into the office. I commented on how people come in that are not feeling well and I was worried about her making noise. She reassured me that no one would say anything to my daughter while she was around. She even gave her a few little toys to play with! I love that she was there to put my mind at ease and act incredibly kind towards my daughter. My daughter does not often react well to strangers but was not shy with her and even started "talking" a bit around her. This touched my heart so much I cannot even express. This location has always been very efficient and we are never there long. Everyone is very nice but I just felt like I had to shout her out. Thank you so much girl! read more

When I arrived, I found out that if I got bloodwork done there, Sonora Quest would not cover the expenses under my insurance, but my insurance would pay if I went to LabCorp. Terrible long waits. I do not recommend this location. I got here 20 minutes before they opened and STILL had to wait until 9 am

Walked in, was lucky and it took hardly any time... Gabby was great... very satisfied.

I visited the location on Wilmot. They were great. I was a walk-in at 4:50p, knowing full well they were closing at 5pm. The ladies were super helpful and not at all frustrated that I showed up at closing time. (Even though they likely were slightly annoyed). They quickly finished the paperwork, insurance info, blood draw all in less than 15-20 min. Good people here. read more

I have been having blood drawn at Sonora Quest for years. Now with computerization it's so easy. I made an appointment on line. Walked in the door and checked it at the kiosk. Within minutes I was called to verify insurance. Minutes later I was in the room, blood drawn and out the door. In the "old days" you went and sat and were taken in the order of check in. I have challenging veins and the tech was happy with his first probe and the needle was professionally inserted. The only thing missing is a happy face bandaid and a sucker . I also wonder how people with no access to computers or the savvy to use them are surviving in today's environment. What I view as a plus must be difficult for others. read more

This laboratory, Sonora quest laboratories LLC has a corporate address of: in care of Banner Health, 2901 N. Central Ave., Suite 160, Phoenix, AZ 85012. This laboratory performed tests that they should not have on my 90-year-old aunt. She was to have an INR which is a simple fingerstick test but instead they did a full chemistry test on her - apparently because it's more money and that is what BANNER / UA is ALL ABOUT! I called their office in Tempe and spoke with a guy named Patrick, when I asked for a supervisor he hung up. I called back and spoke with Jackie Santa Cruz, Patrick's supervisor, and she was to review the conversation that resulted in his hangup. She was to call my aunt to get permission to talk to me about the improper testing that was done. it's been more than an hour so she lied to me and did not call me back today as she promised several times. So if you like to spend your money or the federal government money or your insurance company's money then I suggest you go to this business because they will take it, they will do incorrect testing and expect to be paid, will hang up on you when you call them, and they lie to you and say they'll call you back and they don't as promised. So this isn't the only medical lab in town so I'd like to suggest you go elsewhere for your health care. read more

More often than not, the counter staff is extremely unprofessional, today was not exception. As I walk through the door the girl behind the desks hits me with a "CHECK IN AT THE KIOSK!". I then explain to her that I just have a sample to drop off. She responds with "YOU STILL HAVE TO CHECK IN"! I told her that I was told yesterday that I would just be able to come by and drop it off with no hassle,. I had it in a thermos cooler as the directions stressed that it was very important to deliver the sample asap and keep it cool at all times, right up until it was put in the labs refrigeration unit. She looks at the thermos and blasts me again with "WHAT IS THAT?!". I said that I already told her what it was. I also told her how the directions stressed the importance of keeping it cool and delivering it asap. We went back and forth a bit until she FINALLY had me come in and sign the paper work. I told her 2 or 3 times that I didn't need the thermos back as it was more important to me to listen to what the directions stressed and asked her if she could just do me the little "favor" and keep it in there until right before you put it in the refrigerator but she refused! She just wanted to some empty satisfaction out of being a jerk to me and that was more important to her than handling a lab sample in the best way possible so as not to throw the test results off. I can already hear the bs response if I talked to someone at Sonora Quest about the importance of following THEIR directions that THEY gave me. It would be something like, "oh, that is not really necessary. Odds are that a minute or 2 PROBABLY wouldn't hurt it". Why take even a small chance when there is no gain, just loss? Best question of all: Why in the world would you prefer to carry a little bag containing a stool sample when you could have the whole business inside of something? Not only would it be that much less of an unpleasant task for you but you wouldn't make the lab's customers concerned that the results are not going to be accurate. Sonora Quest has always been a decent lab, their phlebotomists are usually great. BUT for some reason, their front counter people are the worst in the business. I always get the impression that Sonora Quest hires the counter staff that other places fire. I think it's a pretty solid theory. But that begs the question: WHY? read more

I like the computer efficiency but bemoan the staffing of the Wilmot/5th location in Tucson. I'd just been at TMC Infusion Center which was equally efficient but staffed with pleasant people who made eye contact, wore name tags, issued greetings and made patients feel that their needs were of importance. How very odd to travel several blocks for a bit of blood work and find total disregard and disrespect by 3 employees who were having a great time with one another but made it clear that they resented interruption by anyone who came to the front desk. No greeting and it took a beat for me to realize that yelled questions into the lobby were directed at me. Not great but no real problem. However, the phlebotomy tech's hostility from the minute the door swung open was incomprehensible, not to mention unnecessary. I finally asked her if I'd somehow offended her and that really set her off. No name badge nor would she provide her name when asked. I guess I can see why. But, come on -- it's just a blood draw so why the drama? How can patients in pain or with significant sensory, mobility or mental problems hope to maneuver through this minefield and maintan any sense of dignity, much less accomplish what they came for?
