I have gone here for a few different MRIs for different areas of the body. The entrance staff are helpful and the Patient Navigators are very caring. They walked and guided me around, provided preparation calls and prompt follow up calls, and rubbed my back when it was hard. The online system made it easy to track results. Billing allowed me to look at options with and without insurance and a payment plan. The surgeon was friendly and all staff were so well trained and professional. My main advice to fellow patients is to ask extra questions and look up medical info online to prepare your questions. Reading blogs from a patients experience with similar health concerns helped to know my desire for support like a driver or staying home from work for the day were valid. Ask for a high risk specialist, advocate staff, or other contact referrals to help you understand long term comprehensive care plans. That may not be what Radiology Ltd is able to provide but it is something you can find as additional resource and can help you make the most of each procedure or test. read more

Check in with seamless. Each technician did their job proficiently. My biggest issue is that I am visually impaired and when I tried to communicate that, no action was taken. Directions of where to go were vague with no offer to escort me. At one point, they left me stranded, and I could not see where I was supposed to go. I have been calling for nearly 3 weeks to get a disk of my MRI Images, crickets. In the last 2 days I have called nearly every location, I was on hold each time for more than 20 minutes before I finally hung up. What is going on there, is no one answering the phone? Rad Limited USED to be a good organization. Lately, I have noticed that they are unwilling or unable to listen to a patients needs and the reason for an imaging service. Although they are nice enough, they seem unable to listen to patients in terms of providing patient care. An example is an ultrasound of my left ribs and stomach I received recently. I had to BEG the technician to image the area where I have horrible pain. She imaged areas of my stomach I had no need to be imaged. They used to hire better people and be more patient focused. read more

The issue is not the standard of care or the medical personnel; it is billing. My wife called about this issue, then she stopped by the office, and then called again. No action has been taken. The story: my wife was scheduled to have a diagnostic MRI on July 2. She was told that she had to pay her portion ahead of time, $819.52, which she did. As it turns out, the radiologist decided against the MRI and just had my wife take a standard mammogram (which I believed is 100% covered under preventive care). When my wife asked about the $819 as she was checking out, she was told that they will credit back the cc in about 10 days. Nope. After 10 days, nothing, so she called and was told that they are working on it. Another week, she goes in and my wife is told that they have to re-submit the claim to BCBS and it takes about a month. We are now at almost four weeks and nothing. (A side note: BCBS processed the MRI claim on 7/7 and the EOB stated that my wife only owed $336.31 for the (non-existent) MRI. She was charged more than 2x for the procedure that did not happen). My wife calls billing again today. Is told that the claim has to be sent out to (re-claims?) and it will take another two weeks. Has to be sent out? I am assuming that this means no one in the billing department at Radiology LTD has acted on my wife's over-billing. Meanwhile, we are carrying an $800+ credit card charge for nearly 30 days that Radiology LTD could have reversed in 24 hours. read more

My doctor referred me here for my imaging and they had amazing customer service! I got an appointment pretty fast and loved that all I had to do was click a link in the text they sent me. It's very online friendly. They sent me reminders and instructions which was helpful I was greeted immediately when I entered and then I was helped shortly after to get checked in. My appointment was on time and my tech Michelle was amazing ! She treated me with care, had great communication and was very kind. All who use Rad Ltd need to know that they only use only pathology lab for all "biopsies". I went there and specifically asked my doctor as well as my "MA" to be sure the sample went to an in network lab. Was told by both, YES no worries, we are sure they will send to an in network lab. You should know that I received a bill for an out of network provider. You can imagine how frustrating this was. On top of that the office manager at Pathology Specialists as well as the office manager at Rad Ltd were both useless in getting this resolved. I am still after weeks awaiting a "call-back". At this point not worth a "ding" on my credit because neither place did their job. If I could give them a zero I would. Going to look for a different "imaging" facility because Rad Ltd is truly gone downhill. read more

I cannot speak to anyone else's experience, but I honestly would not feel safe returning to Radiology Ltd. for anything beyond perhaps an xray or scan. I had my port removed and even with multiple reminders of my allergies, at least one, of my known allergens were used during the procedure, resulting in a trip to the ER (after calling on call first to problem shoot). I needed a brain MRI that Radiology LTD at Houghton/Drexel could not get done due to the bad attitudes and lack of basic standard of care services. All I asked them was to please not put a tight band on my upper arm when inserting the IV. I have SEVERE spinal damage in my neck and consequently very bad nerve pain issues that run down my arms. I'm also have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome in both hands from double carpal tunnel surgery 2 years ago. If any part of my arm gets crushed the agony will quickly end any MRI progress. The nurse told me by requesting that she not use the rubber I was "not allowing" her to do her job. The MRI tech was an arrogant man who got the IV in my hand in 30 seconds without any bands or squeezing. But it was too late. They had upset me so much that my anxiety level was through the roof and when they clipped that cage over my face I could not tolerate it. I wrote a very detailed review on yelp here if you can find it. Fast forward to almost 9 months later. I chose the Wilmot location and could not be happier with their service. They were understanding, respectful and compassionate. I was also armed with Valium this time! One 5mg tab and I as comfortably numb! The techs gave me some oxygen (a long-term gift from Covid in 2022), put wedges under my legs and back, gave me earplugs and headphones, and played music of my choice. I was very comfortable and thanks them profusely. Hat a difference people with great attitudes can make! Many individuals going to get MRI's are sick, or in terrible pain from injuries. Even a tiny amount of kindness can go a very long way towards making their experience positive. Radiology Ltd. is my favorite place to get imaging done. The lobby is large and there are many spots to sit as well as talk to the receptionist without broadcasting all of your business. They have nice lockers to change in and leave your bag and clothes, and the robes are terrycloth and very comfortable. I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. read more

They don't honor doctors orders as stated by doctor. Doctor ordered a breast diagnostic with ultrasound due to fact the breast tissue is very dense so a regular mammogram doesn't work. However, Radiology Ltd. doesn't have a way to enter the order into their computer so will NOT honor the doctors order. read more

What a horrific experience. Turning 40, had to get that favorite scan of women everywhere, the mammogram. Went in, and after checking in, changing and lots of waiting, they took me to the scan room only to inform me they didn't have the right order from my doctor. Um, why wasn't this addressed before even scheduling me? Then, they made me sit in the waiting room in no bra and a gown (how humiliating) while they checked into it, only to send me home. A few days later they called and said they had the right order. They scheduled me for 7:30, which I didn't love but took so I could get it over with. So I showed up at my email confirmed 7:10am checkin, and then said they didn't have me on the schedule AT ALL. Receptionist looked at me like I was making it up, and said they could try and "squeeze me in" if I waited 30-40 minutes. I asked to speak to a supervisor but none ever bothered to talk to me. I agreed since I couldn't deal with attempting on a third day to get my screening done. So lots more waiting. The tech was very nice and efficient, no issues there. Actual screening was mercifully brief, the true horror show was trying to get in. Moral of the story, go elsewhere if at all possible. read more

If you want to pay $830.80 for a mammogram with insurance, then I recommend you go to Radiology Ltd. While scheduling an appointment with Radiology Ltd, we spoke about receiving a cost breakdown prior to the imaging appointment. The appointment came and I still haven't received the cost breakdown. I looked up the cost of mammogram for Tucson via Fair Health Consumer so I had an idea of approximately what the price would be. I was shocked when I received the bill. I spoke to the billing department and they told me there was nothing they could do when I started questioning the bill. They recommended that I reached out to the scheduling department. I reached out to the scheduling department and left a voicemail weeks ago and still have not heard back. I also reached out to the patient advocacy line and they told me that they would look into it. I still have not heard back from anyone in radiology Ltd and I has been weeks, but did receive a letter stating they would send my claim to collections if I didn't pay it. I am blown away by the lack of transparency and customer service. Went for my first mammogram, cause I put it off for as long as possibly could. Now I feel silly for dreading it, because it wasn't bad at all. For starters, they have their covid safety measures down. You are greater outside by an employee who checks you have an appt and takes your temp. Once inside I was quickly checked in, using a console that I watched them sanitize after each patient. Once checked in they direct you were to wait, to ensure distance between patients. Plus chairs are roped off. I barely waited though, as Doyle almost immediately called me back. She brought me to a room and had me get ready. When she came back she walked me through everything that would happen, answered questions, explained that since it was my base appointment they might need more pics, and just generally put me at ease. When it was time to start the actual process she was efficient and gave great directions to take the pics. And the smush was uncomfortable but didn't hurt or last long. The whole process - from check in to leaving - was barely 20 minutes. read more

Beware of Radiology Ltd billing practices! My son needed an MRI and we were told cost was $1600 with insurance! I get it- we have a high deductible, but I asked if they could bill us or we could make payments. Nope - they wouldn't budge. We had to pay the entire amount right then and there or they would not do the MRI. I had no choice. I put the $1600 on a credit card. Fast forward one month later...I got the explanation of benefits (EOB) from the insurance. Our cost for the procedure was only $800!! I called billing office at Radiology Limited and said they owed me a refund. They agreed, but said it would take 1-2 weeks to put money back on my credit card. That is unethical and just not fair!! I have to pay upfront, overcharged, right then and there, yet they can wait 2 more weeks (6 weeks total) to issue me an $800 refund! They really need to change their billing practices. read more

Their X-rays are minimal at best, I went for 3 months with a broken ankle after radiology Ltd said it was a soft tissue sprain. I finally got my also incompetent PCP to give me a referral for podiatrist, who immediately said it was broken. They must be under contract with Tucson Medical Center because they continue to send me there, even after my objections. Currently I've had X-rays on my shoulder, which is in great pain, but they say nothing is wrong. I'm definitely going to get a second opinion and seek an attorneys advice. Today I remembered why I dread going to this particular Radiology Ltd. site. It is still a mill, even in the age of Covid when the facility says it has instituted protocol to make the building safer for patients and employees. I should have figured things out when I saw how filled the parking lot was. When I walked in and saw how many people were in the waiting room I was stunned. This was going to be yet another long wait for my test. Even though a sign on the exterior doors says "Masks or face coverings are REQUIRED in this facility" I saw a patient enter without a mask, walk into the lobby without a mask, and begin checking-in without a mask. After being given one, she stood there with the mask on improperly. Why bother to have a mask policy? When municipalities, and many other employers, are terminating employees who refuse to get vaccinated, why is it a big secret whether or not the technician who will be standing very close to me, in a medical facility, has been vaccinated? I want to add that I think the employees are doing the best they can in a difficult situation. I just did not feel safe there and that is management's fault. read more

Arrived at their Rancho Vistoso office for a DEX scan and a mammogram on March 22nd at 7:30 in the morning to find that my appointments had been cancelled and re-scheduled without my approval. Arrived again a their office on March 26 on Orange Grove and LaCholla to find that they had not received an approval for my MRI. They had called the day before to remind me of my appointment, why wasn't I told at that time that they had not received the necessary approval. My visit to LaCholla was an hour and half drive. I have never seen a business that is so careless and disorganized. Before the tests have to be run next year I will definitely find another source. read more

While the initial feeling when you walk in is as if you've done something wrong by going to the front desk (you're supposed to check in with one of the people standing to the side), the techs are great. I have had a few mammograms here, and the process is pretty smooth. Check in with the people standing around (the front desk will quickly redirect you if you stop there first); provide your id, insurance and any medical orders when directed (don't expect a lot of chit chat as they are entering your info into the computer); go back to the waiting area until called; follow a person to a changing room; wait in a different room; go into xray room with a tech when it's your turn. I chose Rad Limited because a doctor I love had moved there. She was still great but everything else from beginning to end has been an absolute nightmare. I paid my estimate in full at the time of service but have been continuously harassed by the company for more than a thousand additional dollars even though the insurance shows I actually overpaid for the service. This location at 677 North Wilmot road is the best location I've ever been to. I walked in without an appointment the girl at the front desk with dark hair was very nice and very accommodating. I didn't even wait 5 minutes. I was able to be seen immediately for just a simple non-emergency, x-ray. The girl that took me back to x-ray was very nice and friendly. The two girls and x-ray, (I forgot their names )we're very nice explained everything and asked plenty of questions. The few times I've been here this location is very nice never a long wait it means a lot to go somewhere where people are pleasant. Especially in the healthcare field customers are never at their best and when the staff is friendly and accommodating it makes their day better. Unimpressive and disappointing customer service. On 3/9, I scheduled an appointment for a MRI on 4/12. On 3/28 I received a call that my appointment had been cancelled and the earliest new appointment I could get was on 4/29. The customer service rep that I spoke to was dismissive of my concerns regarding this significant delay. Like a lot of second rate Tucson health care providers, I'm done with Radiology Ltd. I showed up early for Dexa scan; took me in early; got done early; and walked me over to the mammo waiting room. I fell through ALL the cracks after that with 15-20 other patients who arrived AFTER me but got xrayed BEFORE me. Asked three times about my 55 minute delay, and got gaslight answers (like "it's a processing thing" which it wasn't). They just skipped me and couldn't manage to make it right until I went to mgmt and called 'em on it. Finally got in, but what a terrible experience. Will NOT go there again! read more

This place is disgusting. Most staff unmasked. Zero front desk staff in masks. Almost no patients masked. This is a medical facility! Nowhere in Tucson have I seen such callousness with any medical facility regarding patient and staff safety. My call for the appointment said masks were required, but apparently not! People sick just sitting in packs. This is not a clean facility either. Visible grime in the dressing rooms. There are no lockers, so you're forced to carry around your clothes and bra in the open. I went to the Drexel location today for a CT on my chest due to lung cancer that was ordered by my Dr. stat. They were very rude and refused me because I couldn't pay the full co-pay. I get paid once a month on social security and it's not the same date every month. Same day different date. So, if I end up having cancer again can I sue them for neglect? This is so wrong to do to a patient. We just moved here from Illinois in Feb 2023 and this is the health care system out here. I was never turned away in Illinois. This is disrespectful and hurtful. I am having the same bad experience as others on Yelp. I was scheduled with R.L. for imaging, and the business manager called to say I'd be charged $500 up front and "so don't be shocked, it's just your deductible." Struck me as odd. My deductible is only $350/year! I go online, and sure enough, I find others have had this same bad experience at R.L! Bottom line: you pay up front and then get billed again for what insurance won't cover. They don't report the $500 to your insurance and badger you for full payment. Stay away from R.L.!
