How could you?! Do NOT go here! My mother arrived with a referral from her primary next door to have imaging done after complaining of not being able to breathe. They did an IV iodine and she immediately went into cardiac arrest! They called EMS who did CPR on her for 12 min and finally got a pulse before arriving at the hospital. NO ONE CALLED HER EMERGENCY CONTACT! Who is actually my 81 year old father!! He spent 5 hours searching for her, calling her primary, the hospitals and finally found her. She was on life support!! Imagine this, your mom goes to the doctor, almost dies, no one is called and by the time he figures out where she is he can't drive to see her because it's dark outside! He had to wait until the morning to see his wife. Now also imagine IF she did pass away. Imagine how SHOCKED my father could have been. He could have had a heart attack. They still have her belongings. They never gave them to the EMS so she arrived without a wallet, purse or way to identity her! Yesterday my father had to retrieve her car which was still in their parking lot. He is 81! Luckily they had an extra set of keys. However her phone, purse, wallet are STILL INSIDE THE OFFICE AND NOT ONE PERSON HAS CALLED TO GIVE HER BELONGINGS. This is on top of NOT CALLING EMERGENCY CONTACT AFTER SHE WAS TAKEN AWAY IN AN AMBULANCE! What about the iodine? What kind of records do you have that prove she isn't allergic prior to administering? So many questions and ZERO communication or concern! Run fast away from this place! read more

I have had the occasion to use Eastside Imaging on several occasions. Each and every time I was made to feel welcome and treated very professionally. As it is my habit to arrive early, I am usually done with my test before I was even scheduled for the service. The staff at the front is always prompt and very friendly. The technicians have invariably treated me with kindness and compassion. The place is spotless by the way. The results of my tests are frequently in my patient records in just a couple of hours. I appreciate that because I prefer to read them myself while waiting for the doctor to give me his professional take on them. This place is special. Whoever is managing it is obviously all about excellent patient care. Though I have the option to choose a facility much closer to my home I will always go back to Eastside Imaging. read more

Instead of sending the full report to MyChart, a summary paragraph, without my name or measurements, or the radiologist name was sent. To get the full report I was told to sign a release which was mailed to me through USPS, then I needed to mail it back or drive 25 min to their location to receive a copy. When you arrive you sign in and sit down. I had X-ray order so no appointment Trent but was checked in within 10 minutes and had X-ray within 5 minutes. Seating was chairs spread out. Masks were required and everything was clean. X-ray technician was nice and carefully got me into the uncomfortable position needed to get the needed pictures. read more

I have had more X-rays and MRI and CT scans than I can count. Seriously, this imaging center was one of the if not the best ones I've been to and that's in Iowa, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Arkansas and now Arizona! Minnesota and Arizona include Mayo Clinic. The staff was polite, discreet and professional as well as provided excellent communication. Oh, I must mention I promptly received an appointment. read more

I think it is very hypocritical that there are signs all over the lobby that patients must wear a mask but I have been sitting in the lobby watching the employee at window 7 with her mask around her chin the entire time I was there. Approximately 2.5 hours. Difficult to enforce a policy that the employees in plain sight don't adhere to and expect patients to follow the rule. read more

I had an appointment there today and it was great. They did a temperature check before I entered the building, and the chairs are separated. The lady at the check-in was very friendly! I only waited a few minutes before being called back. The technician was very friendly and told me that everything was cleaned, sanitized and ready for me. Lots of parking. read more

WARNING: They WILL announce whatever procedure your getting so the entire lobby can hear about your medical needs. Seems like a clear HIPPAA violation to me. Apparently, they consider this standard practice. Also, if you have a question on the day of your procedure, No one answers the phone. Your requested to leave a message, to which they will call you back TOMMORROW. Fortunately, There are other, and better imaging sites in Tucson. read more

had an appointment which they had confirmed with a text at 1pm for which I arrived at 12:45 as instructed and after half an hour of not being called I went to the reception asking why and they told me my appointment was at 2pm. they had also changed the test I was scheduled for without anyone notifying me of the change in the time or study. the receptionists tried to help and I asked to speak to the supervisor and am still waiting an hour after arriving and supervisor has not shown up to speak with me. I moved my healthcare to another place. I work in the healthcare field also and find the way they treat patients unacceptable. I came 10 min before my appt time, they asked to reschedule my appt.  Negative attitude.  Refused to provide information regarding filing a written complaint.  I had to fast for 8 hrs (NO food, NO ANY drinks) before the procedure. They said I will have to wait about a month to get the morning appointment, so I agreed to get my testing done at the later time of the day. I was working that day, fasting, no fluids at all (felt horrible the whole day) and I came feeling dizzy (I have diabetes). It was my first time at that place. They have a couple windows without big signs where to go and I wasn't sure which one I should go to. Ladies working at the front were ignoring me, looked unfriendly, and we're not making eye contact so I didn't feel comfortable asking. I went to one of the windows, was in the line for a while, then in an unfriendly manner were informed that I was at the wrong window. I had to wait for a while again. I was busy with an issue at work and came very close to my appt. time. They said that because they wanted me to check in 30 min before my actual appt. time, I have to reschedule. I asked to speak with the manager, explained that I was fasting the whole day, but she said that since it is getting close to the end of the day, tech has to leave and can't stay a little longer to take care of me. It was around 4 pm and it didn't make much sense to me (they close at 5 pm i think).  But they took care of the patient who was scheduled AFTER me. My appt was rescheduled and I had to fast again. I was very upset, uncomfortable, felt discriminated against, but was trying to be understanding and got it done another day. Then I was scheduled to do another test. I work 2 jobs and it is really difficult to find the time to get it done. I had to be fasting again. I came 10 min BEFORE my scheduled appt time, I was NOT a new patient (so no long paperwork process was required anymore) and they said that they will have to reschedule me again! It was during morning time and they had plenty of time to take care of me. I was shocked, and asked to speak with the manager, but she said that I have to reschedule. At that point I politely informed that I will transfer my care to another place. The manager was trying to threaten me that she will have to inform my doctor who referred me. I said that I will have to ask my doctor to move my pre-authorization to another place, so I will have to inform him anyway. I asked to speak with someone else from the management, but was informed that no-one is available. I asked to file a written complaint, but they said I can't do it and provided me with a card with the contact information to call. I called and left a message, but no-one called me back so far. It is unacceptable to treat patients this way when people come for help feeling very sick and stressed out already. I NEVER was treated this way in any other healthcare facility and this experience was shocking. read more

This review is based on two separate experiences I've had here, both less than stellar. First, I'd like to say that the front office is clean, and the front office staff that I have interacted with have been pleasant. It's the staff behind the doors that have left a bad taste in my mouth and I will request another imaging facility in the future. My first experience with Eastside Imaging was for an MRI. The MRI I was getting required an IV. The staff who was attempting to put in my IV was having a hard time and also not paying to her patient. I attempted to tell her several times that she was hurting me and that I was starting to feel faint. I was getting clammy, cold, and my vision was starting to go. She ignored me and kept saying this will only take a minute until I forcefully told her to stop. Another tech had to intervene and helped lay me down. The second tech was able to get the IV in without issue. It seems that the staff there need to be trained to listen to their patients. My second experience was more recent. I came in for a mammogram and an ultrasound to check on a lump. The mammogram tech was wonderful. Sweet, friendly, chatty. Made me feel safe standing around half naked while standing in uncomfortable positions during the mammogram. The ultrasound technician however was less than stellar. She made strange comments about my purse ("that's the largest bag I've ever seen what could you possibly need?" - um, perhaps that's none of your business? I work full time and I'm a student. I have a lot of stuff) the ultrasound was uneventful and after it was completed she said she would check and see if the doctor could review the results now and provide me some information. After about ten minutes she came back and informed me that they didn't see anything in either my mammogram or imaging to be concerned about, and that everything looked great. I asked again (because the lump is visible to the naked eye and definitely could still feel it) and she said that they didn't see anything to be concerned about. I asked a third time "so everything is fine, I don't need to get a biopsy?" and she told me no, there was nothing there to be concerned about. Fast forward to yesterday I got a call from my doctor saying that the report they received indicated I have a 2cm mass and need a biopsy. I expressed my shock and concern and informed them what the tech told me during my imaging appointment and my PCP stated "well, that isn't what the report says and we need to get you scheduled for a biopsy." It is abhorrent to me that a tech, who clearly didn't know what she was talking about, thought it was okay to give me a clean bill of health only to have my PCP call a few days later to say "just kidding you need a biopsy." Eastside Imaging, train your staff. Train them to listen to their patient and not to say everything is okay when in fact, it may very well not be okay. I'm so frustrated by this experience I will never go back. read more

I expect an ultrasound tech to educate the patient and parent throughout an extensive ultrasound procedure. It's uncomfortable when a tech is all up in your child's groin and no word is uttered. Complete and utter silence. Awkwardly silent. My son and I are naturally curious folks looking to understand his body and the importance of this procedure. We knew that there is a 1 cm lump in his right vas deferens and we would like to know the details along the way. The tech who saw us was rigid and flat out refused to utter a single word throughout the entire ghastly affair while pressing the wand looking to take extensive screen shots of my child's insides. This procedure was an undignified experience as one was told to wait, sit down, and not utter a word. Just wanted to know ....what side are you looking at the left or the right vas deferens? Basically as the parent of the minor all I was good for was to ensure the tech didn't get sued for being alone in the room with my child. How about you inform me what part of my Son's body you are looking at with that wand? On a lighter note, the reason for an additional star was Shelly, the front receptionist, who was very hospitable and made the visit pleasant giving information to most patients including ourselves. She treated us with respect and gave us necessary disclosure. My advice to anyone coming to this imaging center is to go straight to Shelly. If you are like me, and like the procedure explained in details, ask for someone who informs along the way. My son had a testicular/scrotum ultrasound where the ultrasound technician failed to educate and inform his clients with basic anatomy information. Providing quality medical service isn't in line with keeping patients in ignorance. Educating patients and their guardians is mandatory! Hire motivated employees who are personable and highly professional. read more

I've had yearly dexascans at this location and always been really impressed with the technicians - their expertise and friendliness. The waiting room is large and open. They've been very accommodating with putting aside reports for pick up also.The only reason I give them a 4 and not 5 is that a couple of times the front desk staff haven't been quite as efficient as I feel they could be. I've been known to get there in the requested "15 mins ahead for paperwork" only to wait BEYOND my appt time and then go up and ask when they would call me up. Twice I've heard "Oh, I'm just working on your file right now and was about to call you." It's my only gripe as I get that when it's busy but not when not. read more

The appointment was for 10:50 and my wife was led into the facility for a 3D mammogram at 10:50. We left at 11:15. Front desk staff were efficient at registering patients and a full waiting room was being turned over very quickly. We cannot comment yet on the doctor or the results, or the amount we will get charged. Later - After about a week we received a written report of the results of the test. I think that is a record for a medical facility anywhere. read more

I love when I can get in and out quickly. My appointment was at 1:00. I was taken in promptly and was out before 1:30. The staff was friendly and competent. Had both a 3D mamma and bone density scan done. Also, the facility is clean and tidy. read more

My wife was feeling sick from drinking the CT scan prep (not to mention VERY worried about what the scan may show) so I was going to wait for her in the waiting room and drive her home. Informed by the door attendant, whose mask was not medical grade and didn't even cover her nose (mine was and did) that they are only allowing patients in. Which is fine, I get it, but why in the hell didn't they tell us in advance? They had FOUR opportunities to do so: when we made the appointment and then when we had to call them THREE times to make sure they accepted our insurance. They have no problem wasting 40 minutes of your time if they can save 20 seconds of theirs. Their time matters, yours doesn't. read more

I had a 3D mammogram and ultrasound performed. Everyone was very friendly and willing to answer my questions. They were ready for me when I got there. I was surprised that they had all my prior scans (done elsewhere) in their system; I had actually brought them on disc -so they were more than prepared! Despite using this imaging center a number of times, they completely let me down when I needed a CT scan. I was unable to get in through my GP at Banner in less than 10 days and thought this would be a speedy alternative. They refused to give me an idea of when they could get me in before processing my insurance information but was assured it would be within 5 days most likely. The woman I talked to gave me the fax number to have the doctors office send the order over. I relayed this to the doctors office and they called me back by 9:13 to confirm the order was faxed. I waited till after lunch for processing and they had no sign of it by 12:45. I tried again at 3 PM and still nothing less than 2 hours before closing. I tried again at 12:45 the following day and still had not received the order. At this point I said just forget it. I will have the original appointment before they even get the order at this rate. read more

Fast, efficient check in, ahead of schedule with appointment. Sue did a fantastic job with the IV, as I have had issues with all health care workers in ER, hospitals or physician offices because of deep veins. She listened to my concerns and had a great touch - barely felt a thing. Lynn did a great job as the tech and explained everything I should expect and feel. The technicians at Eastside Imaging are wonderful. The location is great with lots of parking. The facility is clean and comfortable. However, I cannot recommend it. The front desk staff is the worst! The staff member checking me in was the rudest meanest person I have ever encountered. This place should invest in customer service training for the front desk staff! They can be taught how to be polite and considerate. Avoid this place. There are many other choices in Tucson. read more

While the people doing the exams are fine the schedulers are totally incompetent. I was told appointment would totally take one hour. Got there and they ask had I drunk Barium? No, I had asked if I needed to do anything and was told to just fast in morning. Oh No! So had to reschedule that. Then the third part of tests was scheduled for an hour later! What the heck! Got a manager out who said I would be next. I sat and watched person after person go back. Temperature rising! Back to the front desk and told I needed to wait an hour. Not happening! Said manager said I would be next. Suddenly I in the room and getting test done. Will get other part of group done next week but never again. Radiology Ltd. is much nicer and they know what they are doing. read more
