This place is a little gem out in El Centro in Imperial County The ambience is very unique and gives the place just the right feeling for a quiet yet trendy steakhouse The service staff was very helpful and patient as I finally decided to go with ribeye steak with sides Recommending this place wholeheartedly if you find yourself in the area read more

I took my Mom here for dinner. I had the margarita "flight" which was interesting and tasty. It was a great steak, a great drink, very quiet on a Tuesday. Staff was friendly, prompt, attentive. It was not inexpensive. Probably good for date night. Will be back! read more

Nice place, good service. However, we ate there twice last month. The first time the steak salad was delicious. The second time this salad had steak that was tough and not the same cut as the first time. Why the inconsistency?? read more

Sonora Fusion - Ribeye - Steakhouses Near Me - El Centro, California

The best place in the valley for a good steak. Been there a few times and the ribeye is always cooked well and portions are generous.

If you're looking for a great steakhouse in El Centro, look no further. But be warned that it may cost a pretty penny. Came here on a weeknight as I was looking for the best restaurant in El Centro. I think this is probably the most upscale restaurant available in the city. When you first walk in the entrance (I actually got tricked because there are two sets of doors) youll notice it is pretty upscale and somewhat dim. The bar is located right in front, where you'll wait to be seated by the host. I was riding solo and sat at the bar. Ordered the ribeye (medium rare) which came with two sides. I chose the guacamole and asparagus, and also ordered myself a chabela (which I thought was actually a michelada, but the bartender told me it is a chabela). The ribeye was pretty delicious. Cooked to perfection, seasoned very generously (could argue it is a bit salty), but the overall portion was big. I thought the steak could be a little thicker but I was still quite stuffed. The manager confirmed that all their steaks are dry aged, which you can actually see a dry aged refrigerator right near the entrance. I may come back for the octopus when I'm in town. Looks amazing. Parking is plentiful in the lot. read more

Well this place was a pleasant surprise! Location is a little sketchy but it's worth the visit. I had a ribeye steak cooked the way I wanted. The service was very good and the atmosphere was satisfactory. I had an Old Fashion drink made very delicious. It's a place that deserves a try and I think you won't be disappointed. read more

I made reservations for a special celebratory dinner with my wife for 6:30 pm. We arrived at 6:38pm. We were then told that that our table was given away because they have a 5 minute grace period. We were never advised that there was a 5 minute grace period when I made these reservations. It is very unfortunate that they would turn away longstanding customers in this manner. We will not be returning. Had a wonderful dinner at Grasso's instead. Highly recommend Grasso's and their customer service is exceptional. read more

The octopus appetizer was absolutely amazing. And the ribeye was cooked perfectly. If you are in the area don't miss out on this gem. Stop in for an amazing meal. read more

Sonora Fusion is an intimate quiet steakhouse of El Centro. The menu offers a variety of steaks for everyone. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and respectful. However, my reservation is the sides do not call for their price tag nor were they generous with the presentation of the side guacamole. The cut of our ribeye was relatively fatty and thin. I wasn't as great a fan of the quality of steak for their price point. I am especially disappointed in their churro cheesecake as it reminded me of carnival food rather than dessert at an upscale steakhouse. I am not sure I would order dessert here again. read more

Sonora Fusión is an incredible place. It's like an oasis in the desert. The decor is super cute. There were lots of tables so we were spaced out which I appreciate. Ample parking too. I loved the mural on the building. Food wise everything is incredible. I throughly enjoyed my drink, food and desert. I love finding spots like this on road-trips because of Yelp. This will be a regular dinner stop coming back from Yuma to San Diego. read more

Best steak place in imperial valley. The service was amazing. The servers were on top of it. The ambiance was calm relaxing and soothing until the 2 sweet 16 birthday party's started in the 2 halls upstairs. It didn't bother us but if some music would disturb you while eating dinner then just make sure you go before the party starts. The 2 halls upstairs were gorgeous I can see myself planning an event there in the future. I will definitely be back to Sonora Fusion in the future and to try the Marisco next door. You have to get the ribeye AguaChile as an appetizer or even a shareable entree read more

I came across Sonora Fusion when looking for a steak house in El Centro. (I figured steak in a place where they grow a lot of alfalfa is probably a good choice.) I am glad I went there. The food was very good. The menu had a variety of cuts and sizes of steaks. I ordered a New York steak with their special potatoes. The steak was cooked as ordered, was a nice size, and a good value for the price. The sauce they put on the special potatoes was very tasty and only slightly spicy, and went well with the steak. The service was very good. (Since there were tables available they sat me in a larger table in another part of the restaurant, even though I was a solo diner.) My food arrived fairly quickly and included a nice serrated steak knife. (I can't tell you how many steak houses I have been to where they forget to bring a knife that can actually cut steak.) On top of all that, when the check arrived, I as a cash payer, got a slight discount because by paying cash I help the restaurant avoid the transaction fees that come with a card when used as payment. This made me feel appreciated as a customer, as much as I appreciate how difficult it is to run a small independent business these days. If you are in El Centro and looking for quality and value, Sonora Fusion should go to the top of your list. read more

Service was great, she did a great job taking care of the table. She was attentive to our needs. Restaurant was clean and nice. Small place but worked well. Agua chili de ribeye was delicious, camarones zarandeado was tasty, probably the best dish. Guacamole and chips did not fit the restaurant theme, more for a sports bar. Ordered a New York medium, came out medium well, wasn't bad but not the best. Highlight was the server doing well, didn't catch her name but keep up the good work read more

I had the ribeye and it was delicious! I don't mean to be rude but I was surprised. The service was great and the drinks were made just right. I had an Old Fashion and it was perfect. The lighting was just right not too bright and not too dark. It location is not the best so be careful. read more

What a disaster! The majority of blame rests on mismanagement and lack of training. Had to wait 1/2 hour past reservation. No one greeting guests. Waitresses no understanding wine service etiquette. Two people on floor when restaurant was packed. Very disappointed! The food was decent, but experience ruined by awful service. read more

First time at this restaurant. Everything was excellent from the food to the service. We shared the Tomahawk Steak ($110). They bring it out on a rolling cart with the chef who flambé the steak table side. Excellent presentation that had me clapping ! Our sides (comes with two), were cheese stuffed peppers and beans. The steak was melt in your mouth good, for sure the chef knew what he was doing. It's a more upscale dining establishment but saw lots of diners dressing more casual. Service was also very good with a very attentive waitstaff. Total bill for 2 including tip was $173. That included drinks, salad and shared main course. read more

I would have given them a 5 star, because it's not a five star. Its an expensive menu with a feel of a casual diner. There was another side to the restaurant which looked nice. But they had an event. Pros: The food, drinks, and service was great!!! Con: 1) we were seated next to the bar, so it felt like a Bar lounge. 2) They need to invest in their silverware (horrible) and place setting. 3) The final bill had two prices - you will incur a 3.5% additional fee for paying by credit card. (They should indicate that somewhere in the menu.) read more

Sonora Fusion - Parrillada Yaki for two cost: $116 food was great. - Steakhouses Near Me - El Centro, California

To start off with the wait time for our food was reasonable, staff wise they can be a little more attentive the only time we interacted was when we ordered and got our food. Don't order the house salad , Olive Garden has a better salad tasting wise and appearance as well, raw mushrooms and 2 big chunks of cucumber did not cut it, they should try a different side no point in wasting food if you know your customer won't eat it and it well end up in the trash. Shrimp Alfredo, still had the tail in , I don't know who would like it that way but it was messy trying to take them off, same with the bread it came with they should opt for something a little bit softer to chew on instead of burnt bread. The mango margarita they had tasted like nothing honestly it was very disappointing, but the berry margarita was really good I'll give that a 10. The steak was very very good 10/10 everything else was disappointing. We spent a total of $150 & if it weren't for everything else that was disappointing we'd come here again the place looked very soothing and they played great music hopefully they make some changes read more

In a city with not a lot of diversity, this restaurant brings a lot to offer. A delicious steakhouse that carries quality steaks that are good sizes is perfect to have in the Imperial Valley. We came with a group of about 10 after a shift of work and they took us in without hesitation. Here we have some bone marrow that's big and buttery paired with some delicious drinks for the table. The main course is a tender and seasoned well ribeye. If you're in the area, this is a spot you should check out! read more

Great food. The service was great. The steak cooked perfect and cauliflower amazing. I would highly recommend you have dinner here.

Visited 1/9/2022 Saw this place on Yelp and knew instantly I needed to try it out. Starting out with quality cocktails. Loretta started out with The Margarita Taster Flight. After tasting hers we both thought it was a good 4 Stars for flavor and Value. I decided to go with The Specialty Pina Colada served in a real pineapple. It is the best Pina Colada I've ever had. We will definitely do those again. For the appetizer I ordered us The Queso Fundido, comes with hand made chorizo, Mushrooms, and peppers, also handmade corn and flower tortillas. 5 Stars. Next we tried the Ribeye stuffed cheese peppers. The peppers were tasty but sadly the Ribeye was far overcooked and burned. 1 Star. Next was The Grilled Shrimp / Camarones Zarandeados. These were cooked perfectly great texture great flavor. 4 1/2 Stars. To finish up the evening I had to try the Churro Cheesecake. Great pastry on a fried chunk of cheesecake. 4 Stars. Service was excellent. The ambience was very good. The Food speaks for itself. The Menu has a nice selection to choose from. Plenty of parking. This place is a little pricey but it is a nice experience. Worth A Visit. read more

I found this nice restaurant in El Centro. This city has excellent Mexican cuisine, and this restaurant is a fusion of Sonoran foods. It's also listed as a chop house. Their steaks are openly displayed in the front so I thought their steak would be excellent. I got the NY steak. It was not the best grade of meat but I still liked it. The seasoning was just right, but the meat was a bit chewy. I love their pina colada served in a fresh pineapple. My dinner was definitely Thinsulin approved. There's plenty of green light options. Service here was excellent. They're very attentive. I would definitely come back here. read more
