My son has been driving us crazy to try Sonic's and this weekend we were in the neighborhood of Hialeah Gardens and decided to surprise him. Sonic has a smaller footprint of locations compared to other fast food joints. So we ordered a cheeseburger, crinkle fries, mozzarella cheese sticks, tater tots, and chicken bites. Everything was good but nothing better than other fast foods restaurants . The wait time was really long from the time we ordered to the moment the food was received. read more

The food was delicious I literally have no complaints about the food we ate, I didn't give them 4 stars just cause of the small menu selection ( sonic may come out with more new and delicious selections). Food was great and service was fast. Went here after a wrestling match and it definitely hit the spot.

Even though the roller skates don't make a debut here, I appreciate the solid customer service through the drive-in spots where it's easy to order through the touch screen. Not a single salad in sight and somehow that's alright... Breakfast all day long and different options of toasted breaded sandwiches seem to take over the menu with plenty of sauced and breaded duos ready for the "tots or fries" question. I personally like the Chicago dog here as it's served on a steamed poppy seed roll which is just to my liking. Who doesn't like mozzarella sticks ?! The good thing is they never forget to add the marinara sauce so you never leave resentfully unsatisfied. If you're in the mood for dessert, then order your meal through the screen first and then place your sweets order afterwards so I thing melts and you don't feel rushed. I remember the days when I used to drive up north to Broward for Sonic but having this ample location on the western típ of Hialeah surely makes my trips to the 33018 worthwhile. read more

Coming through the drive thru for a late night munch (10:38) with a few friends I informed "Guido" the man working there at the time that there were multiple separate orders, to which he responded "No". I then drive up to the window to see another employee dilidallying in the drive thru window. They then proceeded to refuse to give us service and then cuss me out on the mic. The positive, the workers were pleasant and cheerful. The negative was the lack of choices, because they were out of menu items, and of course those were the things I wanted. You pull up and see a large banner advertising their Totchos. You guessed it, not available. No Iced Tea either. So I settled for a corn dog and chili cheese tots. The tots were so salty. Horrible customer service. I just observed a customer waiting over 15 minutes for his food... he asked about his food, they told him it would be out soon. They then bring him his food, but the order seemed a little bit off and began to eat it. I can't recall if I've ever tried Sonic before. Probably not. I usually just stare at them at those rare times that I'm passing by one. This time, we were on our way for a quick snack at a Starbucks in Hialeah. Then, this Sonic popped up right before us so we decided to try it out. And so far, Sonic has made a good first impression on us. The Soft Pretzel Twist was freshly baked. Tater Tots were golden-brown and crispy while the oil wasn't heavy or old tasting. The Sonic Cheeseburger tasted fresh and not artificial unlike some other chains (ahem Burger King). The Corn Dog also tasted fresh and not so artificial. And finally, the Sonic Blast Reeses Peanut Butter Cup tasted really good. It's comparable to a McDonalds McFlurry except most of the toppings are on the top of the ice cream. Each item exceeded expectations. Overall, it was actually good enough for a return visit. read more

I grew up around Sonic my whole life so I was excited to see one right where I work. It hasn't been open very long so probably I will be back but I went once to get a slush and a corn dog to relive childhood memories. The slush was ok but had too much syrup in it and the corn dog batter was not cooked all the way thru, that being said I went last Saturday for lunch which it was out of the way for me since I was not working in the area that day. I pre-ordered on the Sonic app so all I would have to do is pick it up when I got there. The app told me to go inside and tell the crew member my name for pickup. I did so and waited for about 10 minutes before asking to cancel my order. The manager came over to why I canceled my order, I let him know what happened and that I had to leave to back to work. Apparently the order was never sent to the Sonic and so was never prepared also the person at the register never even checked to see if it was in the system even though I payed for it already thru the app. The manager explained that he doesn't know anything about the app and that the app might not send the order into the restaurant. He returned my money using cash because he didn't know how to return the money back on my card thru the app. I might go back again when I am in the area but I will be hesitant. read more

They even skate your dinner when you sit on the indoor area! That being said, the latest entrance to Hialeah Gardens' restaurant row needs a little bit of work. I heard about this chaim thru their folksy commercials and even ate at one in central Florida a few years back (might even be a review for it) so I was glad when they came to my neck of the woods. Seeing as though there was a bit of a line at the drive thru , I noticed there's also an inside dining space. The cashier was pleasant enough, but the dining room decor needs somework. There's an irregular scattering of tables, plus a huge empty space in the center of the dining room. Vibe, at least indoors, is your basic fast food restaurant. As far as food, I ordered their double cheeseburger and though sizeable and fairly juicy, nothing really jumped out as an essential burger joint. At least they got my buegger right with no mayo. My main "beef" with them is their fries. As you can see in the photo, the regular fries are really small. I'm talking about smaller than my hand small. The fries could have been crisper as well. The saving grace was the waffle Sunday I got for dessert. It had a nice spread of thin toasted waffles and actual strawberries. Maybe I'll just stop by for dessert.. read more

I've been to many Sonics across the country and have never been so disappointed as I was yesterday. Across the board bad. We originally were headed there just for some slushes, but decided on ordering a few snacks as well. We were on our way to visit my mom in Hialeah and detoured a bit just to get my slush. I ordered on the app before arriving, pulled in to a stall and checked in. Then we proceeded to wait. Mind you, our order consisted of 2 strawberry slushes (my favorite), a corn dog, a chili cheese dog, and an order of tots. That's it. FIFTEEN minutes later, the guy comes up with "our" food. A box of about 6 burgers, a bag of stuff, and two blue slushes. We tell him that it's not ours, but he insists that it is. Left us with the food, then went to check. Another TEN minutes later, he comes back to take the food back. We didn't touch it, but wanted to make sure that our food wasn't given to someone else that wouldn't have been so careful. He went back inside and returned FIVE minutes later with our order, which he claimed had been inside all along. The food was cold. The slushes were watery and very syrupy. I always get the strawberry slush and this one was just bad. They were not really busy either, maybe 4 other cars max. The poor kid seemed overwhelmed and his hands were stained with slush syrup. I haven't had problems with the food. It's standard Sonic fast food. My problem is with the SERVICE here. It's almost non-existent. All the tables were filthy and when I asked for a rag to wipe down our table, the response SHOULD have been to tell me, "no, we will clean it in just a moment, sir" and then actually clean it. Instead, I was told that they can't do that and then they handed me a big stack of napkins to clean the table myself.... They had a mix of friends and coworkers hanging out on the side of the building and the workers kept getting distracted by these people. I parked to order and a young UNEDUCATED teen male approaches my car with an extremely rude attitude and says WE CLOSED! I ask, don't you close at 1am? He replies "nana we closed." I hit the speaker button and asked for the manager, a woman named BETHANY answered and I asked if they closed at 1am.. she also just replied no we closed. This is my first time trying out Sonic, and I must say I am VERY disappointed. The worst part was the service, which was extremely unprofessional. We arrived and walked to the register to order and were "greeted" by Joselin(?)- which by "greeted" I mean just stared at until I started ordering. I have honestly seen more personality from a used tire than this individual but I decided to continue with our order, despite my urge to leave this establishment. Any question I asked was greeted by a nod and an unintelligible sound. Joselin, if you're reading his I am sorry for bothering you coming into the store and providing my business. When we walked outside the tables were extremely dirty and unkept. I'm not sure what is the image they are trying to portray, but this is all a result of poor management than anything else. Not much else to say here. The food? I have honestly seen a better prepared chicken sandwich from the McDonald's on 67th, and Lord knows I HATE McDonald's. Overall I will not be coming back, I'm not sure if the owner(s) care about returning customers but I believe that this "one-and-done" type of sales tactic Sonic's is doing only works with Loan Modification Fraud and NOT a fast-food chain restaurant seeking financial growth. Very slow service. When I placed my order I had to repeat myself 4 times, the guy sounded high and kept asking me to repeat my order and would repeat it back. I was craving a strawberry cheesecake shake but they don't have cheesecake. My cousin wanted a mango slush but there's no mango. Absolute worst service ever. We got cold fries that were like rubber. They forgot half the order. We asked to order ice cream the cashier legit looked at us and walked away into the back. So we left and will never return. This is the worst sonic ever. Also none of the machines outside work, but there is not signage for that, you just sit there for 10 minutes until you go in and ask and they say "they don't work" My suggestion is never to go here!!! read more

I loved the burger with all their toppings on it, it made for a really good taste. Fries were a bit white instead of the golden brown but they still really tasted good that's why I gave a 4 instead of 5. I ordered the fries not the tater tots. Next time I will try their tater tots. I ordered a WP combo chicken tender along with other items. Also did request a bunch of sauces. When I pick the items I asked the person to make sure whether he included all in the package. He reconfirmed everything. I did not open the two bags because it was closed and stapled. But when I reach home and open, THERE were NO TENDERS or sauce packs. I know this is a fast food chain so it's not like I'm expecting the treatment of a fancy restaurant. But I do expect people to have manners. Seems that the longer this establishment is open the worse service gets. They take your order like if you are bothering them and whatever you are asking for is a bizarre request.
