Charlie's Ice Cream - Ice cream nachos - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Hialeah, Florida

If you go on a Sunday the wait is so long, even the drive through takes a long time. There's a special on Sunday but I never make it in time. If you visit this establishment try to make the specials times, because the prices does add up. There's several types and form of ice cream you can choose from, along with toppings. Ice cream is fresh and tasty. read more

Charlie's Ice Cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Hialeah, Florida

Charlie's Ice Cream is a great spot for soft serve and other sweet and cool treats in the Hialeah area. Our friend was craving this ice cream all week and decided to show us his childhood ice cream spot before going to the theater in the area. Parking is super tough here but we were able to snag a spot late on a Saturday night. This place was absolutely popping! There were so many people but the line seemed to move at a good pace. They have daily specials so make sure to check out the sign before ordering. They had BOGO soft serve cones that night so some of our friends opted for dipped cones. I got soft serve in a cup with Reese's peanut butter cup crumbles and the chocolate dip. Each of the treats came out from the order walk up window in a good amount of time and we enjoyed our soft serve treats there! A great spot for soft serve if you're in the area! read more

We decided to stop for ice cream on our way home. I had heard good things about this place and it very did not disappoint. They have a large menu and also offer monthly flavors ( this month it's guava and cream cheese and it's delicious ) and creative items like ice cream nachos! They specialize in soft serve. The service was terrific, they were working hard since there was a line and apologizing for the wait. They have B1G1 specials every day of the week. Sundays on Sunday! Lots of parking and also a drive through. Go check it out! read more

Pretty good! I think I'll stick with soft serve, but the night I went they were having issues with the machine. I ordered one scoop of ice cream and got like 3. It seems like everything is just massive. The line gets very long at night - especially if you park. But I did notice that the drive through moved very quickly. Service was decent, and the place is reminiscent of this olden days . If I'm ever in the area again, I'd come back. Ps - careful ordering the milkshakes. I saw a few come out and they were messyyyy. read more

Dairy Queen, Who? Charlie's is the best!! Love their soft serve! But really the best reasons to come here: #1 Avalanche - basically a Blizzard BUT BETTER, #2 Banana Split. Service is great, and they even give pup cups. Excellent weekday evening specials (BOGO Banana Splits, for example). read more

Love this local favorite. Great options and a bit cheaper than other ice cream spots. It's housed in a former DQ. There's something comforting about how simple the menu is, just a few soft serve flavors, a bunch of toppings, and that's it. No overthinking, no trends, just good ice cream done right. The staff were very nice and they made me feel genuinely welcomed. There are a couple of shaded tables out back, and a convenient drive thru Whether you're from the neighborhood or just passing through, Charlie's is one of those small gems that makes you smile before you even take your first bite. I'll definitely be back, probably sooner than I should be. read more

After hearing so much about Charlie's Ice Cream I decided to give it a try while in the area. What I wasn't expecting was to see a drive thru line backed up onto the street and a line of people at the order window. It took about 30 minutes to get to order and this was on Sunday afternoon. So if you are in a rush this might not be the place but I will say they have a huge list of toppings and daily specials so you could come for months and never have the same thing. And although the lines were long the staff were friendly and didn't seem frustrated which provided a friendly atmosphere as you should expect from an Ice Cream place. My wife and I ended up getting Sundaes each as it was the BOGO special that day. I had a Sundae with Strawberry jam and Twix pieces. My wife had a Sundae with caramel drizzle and waffle cone pieces. Both were wonderful and brought back a nostalgic Sundae on a Sunday feeling. Will say they had a Ice Cream Nachos that seemed intriguing and will most likely be coming back to try that. Overall I recommend giving Charlie's Ice Cream a try and take that wait time to really go through all the options. read more

Just recently visited this place it used to be a Dairy Queen but now serve soft serve in addition to ice cream and sundaes a but of everything. It's a ventanita style store and they have tables and chair to sit so you can enjoy your ice cream. The menu has a lot of options which can be overwhelming, prices range from $4.00- 7.00 but the serving is alot enough for two, the flavors are wonderful. I got the soft serve since I usually get ice cream flavor which was chocolate and vanilla with twix toppings flavor was very good 10/10. Servers were quick with the orders and service. Would love if they added more pictures to know what the different kinds of servings they have. But overall my experience was great. Definitely a place to check out on a hot summer day. Tip easier to go in a week day than a weekend since there is a bit of a line but it moves fast. read more

Westchester Location*** How disappointing ... don't believe the hype.. after a long wait.. longer than I care to admit.. not only did they get my order wrong.. they were running low on the hard chocolate.. and the soft serve was literally melting when they gave it to me... and if that wasn't bad enough.. the boy at the window was RUDE AF.. highly disappointed.. don't bother making the line.. Have to add to this as i saw the owners nasty response to another bad review.. says his product can't be bad when his income has increased by 20%.. it's called marketing hype... your product was melting, runny or out of stock.. you're employees were rude and uninterested.. go back to your Hialeah location.. Westchester is too much for you to handle read more

Soft serve is elite! Feels like an old school ice cream parlor. Makes you love Hialeah even more!

Amazing ice cream with daily specials! It's always a treat to go and have something from Charlie's.

Love love the ice cream. But they never post when they're out of chocolate serve, so we make the drive for no reason.

This is by far the best soft serve I have ever had. It's so creamy and the flavor is just right! Every time I'm in the area I make sure to pass by! read more

Charlie's is that local ice cream spot that makes you nostalgic and feel like a kid again. I planned an east Hialeah food with some other Elites to show them around the neighborhood and this spot was a no brainer. Flavors like mantecado and Dulce de leche, among other Latin inspired flavors make this place unique. Plus, the girls at the counter are always friendly and eager to make suggestions. read more

We really love Charlie's Ice Cream! I've been twice now--once with my husband and dad, and another time with our niece and her boyfriend--and everyone enjoyed it. Their soft serve waffle cones are my favorite! The portions are huge, the prices are super reasonable, and they have different BOGO deals every day, which is such a fun bonus. Last time I had the vanilla and strawberry soft serve swirl, and it was absolutely delicious. The service has always been friendly, which makes the experience even better. Charlie's Ice Cream itself was an okay sweet treat to end the night for a date. I had gotten a dipped icecream cone whilst my girlfriend got a chocolate caramel shake. I was taken aback when I saw the staff inside, some wearing flip-flop sandals, and a very filthy floor. I understand I came around 30-45 minutes before closing, but as someone who has worked in food service, cleanliness should be priority. My icecream cone was perfectly fine, but my girlfriends caramel shake wasn't properly blended which left chunks at the bottom. Overall for ice cream it was a sweet treat, but the cleanliness was a red flag. Hoping if I come again, this issue could be resolved. read more

Nice little corner spot in Hialeah Drive. The perfect place to go to when the ice cream craving hits. The ice cream flavor selection was pretty wide and they had different sizes to choose from. Went 2 weeks ago after getting some pizza just up the road. My girlfriend wanted a sweet treat and we stumbled on Charlie's. We usually go to Dairy Queen as she loves soft serve but this one is much better. She got the chocolate soft serve (small cone) and I got the chocolate/vanilla mix. Very creamy. Next time I'm want to try their ice cream nachos. Luckily they are opening a new location in a few weeks in Westchester which will be much more convenient for me. read more

I had seen this place all over social media so we went as a night snack/celebration. The drive thru line was pretty long, we waited about 30mins to get to the window. Everything looked so good but we ended up w/a swirl soft serve because they didnt have bananas for the banana split. Soft serve was great & a generous portion. Window staff was nice & patient since we had to pivot for our order. Definitely going back soonish. read more

Charlie's Ice Cream - Menu as of 08/2025 - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Hialeah, Florida

Ice cream was delicious, rich generous portions . they have daily bogles.. also very affordable!

The ice cream didn't have much flavor! I ordered birthday cake flavor ice cream and it was more like sad day ice cream. Very plain and bland and no flavor. The waffle cone didn't taste like waffles, it was more like cardboard. I was disgusted to see the cashier handle money and then serve ice cream with his bare hands, no gloves or washing of hands was done to serve my ice cream. Very disappointing experience, never returning! No cleanliness. Gloves aren't expensive nowadays. read more

Great service! Jordan was especially so helpful! The ice cream is also delicious! They have a great outside seating area

I've cream is great. Even if your aren't a fan of lactose, ice cream is amazing. It's flavor, consistency and presentation evokes an adventure that gets better with every bite. There's something magical about IceCream in south Florida. The heat, the tempo, the non stop living...all form a cacophony that can only be assuaged with a cold delicious treat. Charlie's captured that for me. It was a cool oasis in an other wise sweltering tropical dessert. I enjoyed a classic cone and received fantastic customer service. The IceCream was delicious and tasted like quality, not a freezer burn byproduct. The proof is in the product. Do yourself a favor and stop by if you want to eat something delicious at a great price. read more

I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. I've lived in Hialeah all my life and had never ran into it. I liked that they were open late enough to not have to go buy ice cream out of a tub and the ice cream was delicious. Portions are big and they were not shy with the toppings. I had one scoop of coconut, one scoop chocolate. With pecan and chocolate chip toppings. 10/10! read more
