We visited this location of Chill'N ice cream in South Miami. It was quite busy. It is quite the production and was really amazing in their use of nitrogen to make the ice cream, on order. I had the cake batter milkshake, and my father had the caramel and salt single serving. Mine was awesome and his was pretty good; but, not up to his expectations of what he normally gets. Still an overall cool place to go and try out. We will definitely be back for the rum raisin ice cream which is the current holiday special. read more

Looking for a delicious late night ice cream dessert I decided to take a drive to ChillN as I hadn't been in quite some time! It never disappoints! The service was great and we got our orders right awayMy boyfriend and I each made our own desserts and took some home to go for my parents! I got a Biscotti brownie and cookie dough ice cream which was delicious but my boyfriend's order blew mine out of the park with the Salted Caramel ice cream as a base, Oreo, cookie dough and a hot caramel drizzle on top! It's fun to watch them customize each order as they create your order based on the items you've selected. The consistency is more solid than frozen yogurt but it's served in such an unconventional way that it's worth checking out. The nitrogen quickly freezes your scoops as it's served for you upon your order. The staff churn those perfectly concocted creations so perfectly, elbow grease is certainly a factor here! Quality drop is alarming. I used to be a regular when they opened and I remember sticking the blue plastic spoon in both my Nutella & Biscotti Chill-N Nitrogen ice creams, putting the ice creams upside down and driving to my job without melting. Nitrogen gave this ice cream a competitive advantage by keeping it from melting therefore lasting longer. The mixture used to be excellent and was a consistent color all throughout without pieces of ice or ingredient lumps. The result used to be an excellent long lasting flavored Nutella cream. It wasn't a surprise for me to find out my ice cream was melting and very poorly mixed since the young lady was calling my name to pick up when I was still doing the tip section before my signature. I wasn't even sure if they just had done before I even ordered it. Normally they would take a few minutes mixing the ingredients and adding different rounds of nitrogen. Everyone always made an event out of the nitrogen bubbles sprinkling out and all over. Not any more. They are sacrificing quality by saving on nitrogen and time. My wife points out is fair to add that that I went there about 12 minutes before closing. I think the standard should be the same at all times. If no please let me know the cut off time. To make sure, we also went and compared the old pictures of the Nutella ice creams and there is a big contrast in those Nutella ice creams. It is sad because I have always thought this is the best nitrogen ice cream place in Miami Dade but lately it's been dropping the ball. Hopefully they consider this review and this is a wake up call. May 2, 2019: I recently went there with my daughter and her friend and her dad (4 of us). He told me about this place after we ate dinner together someplace else. He said it's better than many places I compared it to. So right away I got curious and was looking forward to going. Upon arrival, the shop was uncharacteristically empty. Standing outside, you can look into the glass window and see the beautiful interior. Once inside we were greeted by a very enthusiastic young man (mid 20's) who was more than ready to take our order. I suppose he assumed we were regulars (or I was a regular) but this was my first time. So, I wish he would've asked if we had any questions and explain: 4 choices to build your treat: -Ice Cream based (Milk) -Frozen Yogurt based -Coconut Milk -Tart Yogurt (less Sugar than the Frozen) After choosing your base (I chose Coconut Milk), you then choose your topping(s) or they call it mix-n's because they mix them in! Wow, so fancy when you can watch them make it right there in the mixer with the Nitrogen (I chose Peanuts & Pecans). I also got a Caramel drizzle on top...oh soo good! The movie scene Nitrogen fog is also a treat for the eyes. Guys, it's great quality ingredients to make a great quality Ice Cream product. And "all" of Pinecrest and surrounding areas respond and swipe their cards with argument for this treat. But OWNER, you have to train your employees in the area of customer service. There was not one person over 'let's say 25 years old, so they are trainable (I hope). For example, they young girl who made our orders, looked mad, upset, had no personality, made no eye contact, and chucked our cups on the counter without saying thank you or smiling. "You gotta work on that...because this is a business, take nothing personal, and I came from Homestead, and that was my experience. Your product is excellent! Your customer service is not. It was recommended through a friend and considering it was my brothers birthday, who wanted to check it out, we came here. They use a combination of a base layer of flavor that you pick like vanilla, chocolate, coconut and then you add to it in order to create your very own mixture of dessert in the form of ice cream. Very cool concept and depending on the size and how much you want to get creative will equal what you spend on this dessert. I ended up getting a combination of coconut, pecans, a Krispy Kreme donut, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and some dulce de leche all mixed in.
