What is not to love about this place. There is so many reasons why soft serve ice cream is amazing so, how is it that this place stands out? Why is it on a random weeknight and a rainy one that there is a line all the way out of the parking lot and down the street just to get to the drive-through? Well, Charlie's ice cream is all that. The flavor infused into the soft creamy treat is uniquely amazing. The service is excellent with enthusiastic people at the window that despite how busy it is still remain beyond unpleasant, in fact, they are friendly. We ordered a cone with chocolate sprinkles and a waffle bowl with chocolate dip on the chocolate ice cream. We also ordered a pup cup. They were all exceptional and all three of us look forward to coming back. Yes, it's a bit out-of-the-way and a bit more expensive than I expected but none of that takes away from how spectacular Charlie's ice cream is. By the way, they have daily BOGO's but they end early in the day (I think like 5 o'clock) it seems to be a new thing since that does not appear in the pictures online so if you see one of those pictures, make sure you know that these are not all day specials anymore and you must arrive early. read more

I wasn't crazy about the ice cream here, but it was definitely fan favorite because it was poppin' on a Sunday night. I am unsure if it is a nostalgic place for people. So, they keep coming back, but I was indifferent about the ice cream. We also saw a variety of groups there, but a majority of the groups were families getting ice cream on a Sunday night. You definitely get your money's worth here, and they have deals each day of the week on certain items. I swear I ordered a small, and it felt more like a large. They have some table seats, but my friend and I ended up standing up the whole time since the place was packed. It was the end of the night so the staff kindly let all of us know the items they were out of, which was quite a lot. Shows how popular this spot it. I ended up getting an avalanche which is their version of a Blizzard or McFlurry-- soft serve mixed with toppings. I got a small which was still pretty big to where I couldn't finish it, even though I really wanted to. I got the chocolate and vanilla twist soft serve flavor mixed with some Reese's peanut butter cups toppings. It was delicious and the best post-meal dessert. The outside area was spacious with a lot of tables and hand sanitizing wipe containers attached to each table. Great for an ice cream place to clean up afterwards. This spot also has a drive-thru in case you want a quick pickup of your sweet treat. We stayed a bit past closed and the staff was definitely tired and kindly told us that they'll be closing and cleaning for the next morning so we had to leave. Overall, a great spot for ice cream. I have a severe allergy to nuts and sesame and the amazing workers went above and beyond to personally bring me the box with the items to show me all the ingredients. Had they just said no and waved me off with my food I could have had a serious allergic reaction. We decided to have ice cream one day and passed by this location on a Saturday. Beware that it gets busy on the weekend. Anyways, we made the line at the drive through and once I placed my order I was informed that they ran out of chocolate and peanuts!!!!. They were nice enough to offer me an ice cream on the house for the inconvenience. Amazing service and thoughtfulness.
