We were greeted by a friendly, upbeat team member from behind the front counter and she was eager and ready to help take our order. We decided to try out the new sauced chicken strips. We got the Parmesan and Honey Bbq and substituted some onion rings for the fries with one of them. The food came out so fast, we hadn't even chosen a table to sit at after filling our drinks, and the team member was already headed towards us with our tray of food! I was a little concerned at first, thinking our food was going to be cold or taste old, but I was wrong. Everything was hot and fresh and fries and onion rings were nice and crispy. Both flavors of the chicken strips were pretty good. I preferred the Parmesan ones, because the sauce was spot on as far as being very cheesy and Parmesan flavored. It had a nice thick creamy sauce and honestly thought the sauce would have been great on some pasta. Almost like a Parmesan Alfredo! The honey bbq was ok. I wasn't a fan of the flavoring. It was just a little too tangy for me. The toasts weren't really necessary, IMO, and were kind of just in the way like some kind of giant butter drenched triangular shaped croutons. Overall, a nice stop for some lunch or dessert, where you'll surely be served swiftly and with a smile! Also fyi, restrooms require a code. Just ask a team member for that.

We initially walked in just to look at the menu, and everything sounded good enough that we decided to stay. It felt like a nice dinner restaurant, even though it wasn't very busy, which makes sense for a smaller town. Ray ordered the chef salad with blue cheese dressing and a bowl of French onion soup. I ordered the Thai chicken wings, and they were absolutely delicious. The sauce was full of flavor, and the wings were not skimpy at all--large, meaty, and very satisfying. There were about six wings, and I couldn't even finish them all. The French onion soup was impressive--not basic at all, with a more elevated, "fancy" flavor profile. The salad was fresh, crisp, and well prepared. You can definitely tell there's a good chef in the kitchen. Our server, Maria, was excellent--very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was very quiet ! If we ever pass through Chehalis again, this will definitely be a place we return to. Highly recommend giving it a try.

So Bad It Was Almost Comical…read more My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our drive from Oregon to Seattle. The parking lot was completely full, so after circling around and eventually finding street parking, we figured the place must be popular. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the high point of the experience. The main restaurant was fairly full, so we were seated in a large, dark bar area in the back. And then... nothing happened. For more than 30 minutes. Eventually, a waiter appeared and took our order. Then another 30+ minutes passed before the food arrived. Somehow, even our iced tea didn't make it to the table until the food did. All told, we spent roughly an hour sitting at an empty table without so much as a beverage, and about 90 minutes from the time we arrived until we actually had food in front of us. At that point, the whole experience was becoming almost comical. We ordered a cod burger with fries, a Caesar salad, onion rings and an iced tea. The cod burger was okay. Nothing memorable, but edible. The Caesar salad was actually good. The fries, however, arrived cold, soggy and thoroughly greasy -- quite an accomplishment considering how long we waited for them. The onion rings apparently embarked on a separate journey altogether, because they never arrived. By then, we'd lost the will to ask about them and just gave up. The grand total for one cod burger with cold fries, a small Caesar salad and an iced tea? $40.00! We mentioned the long wait, forgotten food and other problems to our waiter. He was sympathetic and explained that they were short staffed, which we understand can make things difficult. But being short staffed doesn't make a 90-minute lunch, no drinks for an hour, cold soggy fries and forgotten food any less disappointing -- especially at those prices. By the end, we weren't even angry. The whole thing had crossed over into comedy. Needless to say, on future drives between Oregon and Seattle, we'll be finding a different midway lunch stop.

I chose the homemade potato salad-delicious! Creamy, contained a sweet pickle, mustard/mayo and egg. I ate the whole thing.
