I hired Sonia's Cleaning Services based on the plethora of great reviews. However, looking back now I see that most are over 6 years old. I didn't receive anything comparable to what I was promised by the owner, Juan, or what was described in the reviews. I was given a 1-1:30 PM arrival window. By 3 PM nobody had arrived, so I reached out to Juan who said the cleaners had run long at their first job and were on the way. I expressed concern because I had been quoted 4-7 hours for my move-out deep clean, and he assured me they could still complete it properly. Nobody showed up until 4:30 PM. To my surprise, the "cleaning crew" was a woman and her three teenage children, one of whom couldn't have been older than about 14. The woman, who said she was related to Juan, told me he had forgotten to tell her about the job. In less than an hour they had supposedly "cleaned" my upstairs, which included four bedrooms and two bathrooms (one shower wasn't even in use because it's being replaced). I expected baseboards and high dusting, which Juan had confirmed were included. Instead I found dirty blinds, untouched baseboards, no high dusting, toilet bases still dirty, and the one shower that needed cleaning was still dirty. I immediately brought these issues to Juan and the woman. While I reviewed the upstairs, they "cleaned" the downstairs in about an hour. So my 2,500 sq. ft. home that was supposed to take 4-7 hours was supposedly deep cleaned in under two hours. The downstairs was no better. Floors were still dirty, blinds untouched, the bathroom looked like only the mirrors had been wiped, multiple baseboards were missed, only the ceiling fan had been dusted, my range was still filthy, and none of the cabinets or drawers had been wiped inside or out. The list goes on. By 8:30 PM I had spent nearly two hours directing this woman and her child, only for tasks to be done halfway (shower basin but not walls or glass, toilet bowl but not the back of the toilet, closets never opened, cabinet bottoms wiped but not upper shelves, towel bars untouched, etc.). The upstairs bathroom blinds were "cleaned" by spraying them with the detachable shower head while still hanging, leaving dirty water dripping all over the drywall and window frame. At that point I said "good enough" because I had hired professionals and shouldn't have to teach people how to clean, only to identify reoccurring issues that they hadn't rectified from the prior list of incomplete cleaning. As the woman became increasingly frustrated while cleaning my downstairs blinds, I was also concerned something in my rental home would get damaged. Around 8 AM the next morning I contacted Juan. He agreed this should never have happened and promised to send someone back. By the end of the day he was ignoring my calls and texts. I only heard back after contacting him through Yelp and informing him I would pursue legal action and file a BBB complaint. He then claimed he couldn't get anyone back out and offered only a partial refund. Considering I didn't even receive what I would consider a basic maintenance clean, I requested a 50% refund. He refused and offered only $125. Since the business only accepts Zelle or cash, disputing the payment is extremely difficult, so I accepted it because something was better than nothing. I still had to take a day off work to clean the house myself before my move-out inspection. As an active duty military member, I fortunately didn't lose wages, but I strongly recommend avoiding this company. Despite the older positive reviews, they clearly do not have consistent, quality staff, and their payment methods leave customers with little recourse when the service is unacceptable. read more

Sonia's Cleaning Service is outstanding! We have had Daisy to our home twice and we rejoice that we have found our housekeeper! Juan, her husband, responds promptly at any hour to answer questions and schedule their service. Daisy is like her name, sweet and friendly. But, the best part is how prompt and thorough she is at her work. Our forty year marriage has collected alot of mementos and Daisy is meticulous with all of them. I was so disappointed with this young mans customer service. I scheduled an appointment two weeks ahead of time. I called to confirm my 10am appointment at 10am. The young man said "Oh I will be there by 11am ." Then he called and said I am at Home Depot getting supplies. I will be there by 11:30am. He arrives at 12pm. Then he tells me "Oh I can't clean the screens on your windows because I don't have the proper cleaning tools." My thought was " you just said you were at Home Depot buying supplies. Reached out to Sonia's for a move out cleaning at my rental property. Not only was Juan and his wife very communicative, they were friendly and advised proper services. I can't say I would be happier with anyone else! Juan and his wife went out of there way to make sure the house was deep cleaned properly and safely during the tough time we are currently in. Juan did a great job of meeting my expectations for what we needed cleaned on the property. We needed an all in one service with not only a typical cleaning ie: stove tops, microwaves, bathrooms, but also tile and grout cleaning. Did I mention they did a great job shampooing the carpet!? Would definitely recommend to friends and family. We are very picky people, and Sonia's would definitely be the best pick for weekly or bi-weekly maintenance. Thanks guys! Daisey is one hard working woman! Was looking for someone to help clean the kitchen & bathrooms of a new home before moving in and luckily Sonia's Cleaning Services were able to accommodate me on such short notice and did a killer job! So good, we decided to hire again to do the moving out cleaning of the old house which included all the floors, windows, bathrooms, and kitchen with appliances, which again Daisey did AMAZING work. Daisy is AWESOME! We are getting ready to put our home on the market, and at the last minute wanted to get some help cleaning before we have professional photos taken to sell our home. But Juan worked with me on the schedule and made it work to come to us and help us clean the day before the photographer comes. I initially gave them a 5 star review, but I do have some issues with the cleaning service. They did a great job for the most part, and I will probably hire them to clean out our house when we move out soon, but there were a couple of glaring issues. First, they did not tell me they did not touch the living room carpets, which we discovered later. Daisy showed me a bathroom and said she could not get the stains out of the toilet or tub. She didn't clean out the sink, either, and when the landlord's agent came in to inspect the house, she noted the bathroom was in bad shape. We checked it and within under 10 minutes, we had the sink, toilet, and bathtub cleaned and sparkling, so I do not know what the issue was or why none of three fixtures was clean. Cleaning was required under the refrigerator and was not done. All in all, Daisy and Juan are hard-working and very good at what they do, but we spent too much money to have such problems. I know the house is big and it was very messy, but things I would have expected to have done were NOT done and it has made things very difficult for me. I would give them 3-1/2 stars. read more

Incredibly disappointed. I scheduled my move-out deep cleaning a week and a half ago with a man who told me they would arrive today at 8am. My husband and I woke up at 6am to make sure all our belongings were out of the apartment in time. It is now 10:45am and it is a "no call, no show." I have been texting and calling since 7:45am to make sure they would have gate access and there has been zero communication attempts made by this company. They have read my texts since 9:25am and they've chosen not to reply. I can't believe the lack of responsibility/organization. I was looking forward to using this service based on the beautiful photos but this is completely unprofessional. We are scheduled to hand over the apartment by the end of the day and will end up losing our security deposit since we have packed away all of our own personal cleaning supplies and cannot find any other last minute cleaning services available for today. read more
