If you go with this service, they will rush through your house so quickly that it will not truly be clean. They do not vacuum stairs, and my floors are filthy after they said that they have been cleaned. When I reached out to the company, they said the next time they would do better. They showed up when they said they would be there. Jennifer and Analee did an amazing job and worked so hard. They started at 1:15pm and worked straight through until 9:00pm. I gave them three stars mainly because I liked the in-home estimate (the flat-rate quote was straightforward) and their communication was good. The owner reminded me to check everything before they left. The first time I checked, I found several obvious issues, so they redid them. They assured me they would double-check everything before leaving. When they told me the job was done the second time, I trusted them. I checked a few major areas and they looked OK, so I let them go -- especially since it was raining outside. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE. They are not honest, not professional, the owner has an excuse for everything, is a gas lighter, and cleaning was not as promised. The worst is the lack of accountability. Let me start off by saying I love to support small businesses and will do everything possible to avoid posting a negative review. However, this time I have to post one. I hired them to do a move-in deep cleaning of one of my properties to be rented out. I appreciated Shirley's walk-through prior to the cleaning. She seemed thorough and kind. Her two person team were not thorough in their cleaning even after I discussed what needed to be done with the owner Shirley and then with the two ladies who arrived. After the ladies said they were finished and wanted me to check, there were still a lot of items missed including baseboards, floors, doors, an entire closet, laundry room, stairs and corners on the staircase, cabinets and drawers. While they were correcting areas missed, the same company's carpet cleaner arrived. As I was outside greeting him I see in my peripheral the two ladies leaving and loading up their truck. I thought no way would they leaving without a final walk through. I asked them if everything was completed, they said yes. After inspecting the property, I found that many items had been missed. What was most frustrating, however, was that the specific tasks I had asked them to address--after initially reviewing their work--were still not completed. I reached out to the owner, Shirley, who offered me a $25 discount on the $475 charge. Given the circumstances, I felt this was inadequate. At the time, I was completely exhausted from moving out of a 2,300-square-foot home into an 800-square-foot condo. I had spent days purging, selling furniture, packing, and managing the move, all while extremely sleep-deprived and sick. By the time I returned to the property that day, I had already been there for over 12 hours and was running on fumes. When I returned to the property the following morning, fully rested, I began taking photos to document its condition before the tenants moved in. That's when I noticed several deep scratches on my brand new Whirlpool microwave--damage that had not been there previously. I immediately brought this to Shirley's attention. To my surprise, she claimed she had noticed the scratches during her walk-through. Even more frustrating, she dismissed the damage as "minor." Her response was both unprofessional and unacceptable. Rather than taking responsibility, she downplayed the issue and tried to shift the blame onto me. I found this dishonest and extremely upsetting--accountability is essential, and I expected better. When I responded, it seems she allegedly blocked communication. The message populated red error messages. It gave me the option to send as SMS text message so I did. It seemed to go through. This response from a business owner is extremely childish and not a response I would expect from a business who works with the public. I would have expected more professionalism. My goal was to discuss as adults and come up upon a reasonable resolution. Also, I noticed when arriving back to the property the following morning that their carpet cleaner left huge orange stains from the top of my driveway all the way down to the bottom from the product used to clean carpets with. They will not come out. I left the prior evening at 8:00 PM when it was dark and didn't see it. I am very timely in paying people for services performed and did not want to hold it up so I paid the day of service prior to noticing all the discrepancies. I have opened a dispute with Venmo and will seek litigation for compensation. I paid a service good money to come into my home to NOT CLEAN thoroughly and DAMAGE my property. Would never ever hire them again. Please take into consideration the one, two and three stars very seriously on here. I wish I had. Please see pictures. I've attached screenshots of what Shirley referred to as me being demanding. Our messages were pleasant. I was sick, however because I wasn't able to reschedule I kept the appt. There was no issue with this as Shirley's aware and text messages show. Her staff was scheduled to arrive at 10:30 AM. I was getting moving boxes nearby. My outdoor cameras alerted at 10:10 AM. I spoke to them through the camera letting them know I was down the street and would be at the house in a few mins, they said no problem. Also called Shirley. Accountability. I have never been in trouble with the IRS lol. Instead of simply taking accountability she would prefer to make up stories. Can't believe someone like this is in business with the public. I was honestly pretty skeptical about hiring another cleaning company to come clean my home because i had such a bad experience with the first company i went with prior to hiring Dora's house cleaning. Let me tell you.. i was absolutely shocked with the service i received from Dora's! First Shirley came to my house to look around and give me an accurate quote. Then Two amazing women, Janeth and Martha came in to do the deep clean. These ladies worked their butts off and had my entire 2,600 square foot home deep cleaned in a matter of 4 hours. Everything from the blinds, shutters, baseboards, oven and they even took everything out of my fridge and deep cleaned that and reorganized it all and emptied out my diaper genie from my baby's room. I can't say enough good things about this company and these hardworking women who came into my home to do this job. They were so sweet and kind. I would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

You can tell this by the name on my Yelp account. 2nd, we did point out to your team the things we noticed before they left, but the bulk was noticed after they had left. But given that you are a cleaning company, I would not expect to have to inform your team how to do their job, I'd think that would be your job as their employer. 3rd, you continue to say we got your regular cleaning, and if that is true, you should, then, understand why we declined your offer to return. --- We wanted to have a deep clean done to our home as we have some relatives coming to stay with us this week. Given the mostly positive reviews on this site, I had high hopes for a good experience with Dora's. The initial walkthrough for the deep clean estimate went well as the representative sent out really appeared to listen to our needs, asking questions and taking pictures as he went through the house with my husband. He indicated that the information gathered regarding what we really wanted to make sure they cleaned and not just dusted, such as the vinyl plank flooring, kitchen cabinets, baseboards, doors, blinds, would be shared with their cleaning team, along with the pictures he took, so that the job would be done to our satisfaction. Unfortunately, those hopes were dashed in the end given the mediocre job that was done. If you've ever been to a diner where the waitress wipes off your table with a dirty rag, that's the level of clean we were left with when all was said and done. My vinyl plank floors have a sticky film you can feel when walking on them. Baseboards throughout the house are left mostly unclean. Kitchen cabinets, especially around the stove, are still dirty or greasy. Shower walls were left with water spots that came clean once I wiped them down. The stove backsplash was smeared with grease until I later cleaned them; and the kitchen countertops were only given a cursory clean where nothing was moved to clean behind small appliances. The kitchen refrigerator had the exterior cleaned but the interior untouched. Some ceiling fans were cleaned while others were not touched. One corner in the dining room had items that were as dusty after they left as before they had arrived; and the floors and baseboards around the items had not been cleaned at all. Items such as glass containers for cotton pads and Q-tips were "cleaned" on top but then the sides were left untouched. Floor rugs were not moved to clean the flooring underneath, but rather cleaned around. Blinds in the kitchen, which were specifically called out to the rep during the initial quote visit, were not properly cleaned and were left with their vertical strings all askew. Some window sills were cleaned while others were not touched. In addition to the perfunctory cleaning job, many items were not put back in place or were completely rearranged. Somme pictures that were level before they entered our home were left askew. One small item was found broken after being put on alert when one of the ladies indicated, without prompting, that they had not broken anything. A bathroom rug was ruined with bleach which they also did not indicate until it was pointed out to them before they left. Their job upstairs, where they first started, though certainly still lacking, seemed better than when they moved downstairs. It appeared they just wanted to go through the motions to get the job done without making sure things were really clean. Several times items they cleaned had to be pointed out to them as not being clean. All of these issues were reported through both text, pictures, and a voice call to the manager/owner, Shirley, who, after seeing the pictures, conceded with our assessment of a job poorly done or not done at all. Outside of offering to pay for a replacement bathroom rug, she offered to have her crew come out again, which clearly wasn't a resolution we would want given the shoddy result the first time; as well as the timing of our relatives' visit. Her only offer after I declined the revisit, in addition to the rug reimbursement, was to drop the price from a deep clean to a regular clean, with the problem being that even a regular clean was not provided to me; and refunding the tip paid to her crew. But then she found out from her mother, Dora, that she could not refund the tip since it was paid directly to the 2 ladies who performed the job. When asked to then remove that amount from her fee, which would be more appropriate anyway, she refused. To me, that exemplifies who Shirley is, an owner willing to take money from her employees, but not from herself, to make things right for a customer. My mother has always held to the adage that if you want something done right, you should do it yourself. I've always thought people, especially professional people, deserve the benefit of the doubt. When it comes to Dora's House Cleaning, however, I was shown that mother knows best. read more

I felt completely at ease the minute they arrived, and was just amazed with the results. Feeling a little disappointed. Moved into new house and hired as a move in clean before unpacking. Master bathroom tub completely untouched and dusty, previous tenant hair, dirt and dust still in all of the cabinets in the master bathroom and many kitchen cabinets. Counter tops, and knobs to cabinets still sticky in kitchen. Seemed rushed and unfinished, like they needed an extra two hours to complete the job, which can be understandable but would prefer honesty and being upfront with the situation instead of playing it off like the job was completed. Seems to line up with other negative reviews that the job was simply unfinished and a lot of main areas lacked cleaning as if they didn't get to it in time, and we paid extra after being told "the house will be completely clean" after the initial walkthrough. Was really hopefully and excited but then pretty disappointed that we had to go back and still clean certain main areas that were seemingly untouched or not cleaned to the degree that we expected. They also left our hose on and water was running for hours and came home to a big muddy mess in the backyard. Initial estimate was $300-400, which for me was worth it. After determining that the scheduling would work out, she did an in person estimate. I hired Dora's House Cleaning to deep clean my grandparents' home since they have a hard time cleaning at their age and they needed some help around the house. I felt really good coordinating and talking to Shirley who was very friendly, flexible and accommodating in their schedule. Their prices were reasonable. On the day of the cleaning, they stayed 5-6 hours straight cleaning everything down to the dust collecting on the baseboards. They sent a complimentary video showcasing their finished work (since I was out of town). Even one of the cleaners (Sandra) stayed a little longer because she was not satisfied with how clean the floors were which I appreciated. What sold me was my grandma herself was extremely expressed by their thoroughness and she is an especially tough lady to please. Shirley came out and did a walk through. She gave us a quote and we decided to move forward. The day they were supposed to come for the first cleaning, three ladies showed up an hour before the quoted time. Not a great start, but we let them in. My husband asked who was in charge (since Shirley had said there was always one cleaner in charge and at least one other cleaner in the home each time). He just wanted to check that they knew what to do. None of them spoke English. He immediately called Shirley and she said that she is our point of contact. Unacceptable. I understand not everyone speaks English, but I should be able to communicate with someone in my home. We had them stop cleaning, but Shirley kept our $50 deposit. What a scam! This is a family owned business! I've never had to hire a cleaning service before, but my family's lives have changed and we need some help keeping up. Our household also includes several dogs and lots of shedding. The team was very respectful and friendly to everyone at home and treated my family as if it were their own. They are very detailed oriented. I even had some dirty dishes in my sink and they went ahead and cleaned them. My floors are now spotless and not a watermark to be seen on the mirros. Counter space looking like it could use a little love? Boom - it's clean. Got some grease splatter near the stove? Not anymore. My home looks and feels as clean as it did when we first moved it. Shirley and her mother Dora are both very nice ladies and the same applies to their cleaning team. But aside from how nice they were and the price within our budget ($535 post renovation/move in, 3,300sq ft house), the actual cleanliness of my empty post-renovation house is less than desirable. Even after the initial walkthrough and seeing the dirtiness of the house, the cleaning team were just overwhelmed and didn't have enough people to clean the house thoroughly. Many things were overlooked and a lot of cabinets and light fixture were just one swiped cleaned or not even cleaned at all. I'm not saying the cleaning ladies were bad or lazy, they are hardworking, but they were just overwhelmed with so much to do and so little time. I just wish they had a bigger team size to make the cleaning process a better experience. Overall, I would not use them in the future, but I do appreciate them working within my budget and atleast getting the bulk of the cleaning done. Amazing job! Shirley came out to give us a quote and she was very thorough with her walk through. She made me feel so comfortable and understood how anxious I was having someone see my home the way it was. I scheduled the same day with quotes that were reasonable in my two story and 4 bedroom house so with this size other companies prices were unreasonable. Dora and Sandra came out and knocked out my house in a few hours. They are both so sweet and Dora made me feel like she was my mom she was so comforting during the whole process.
