I was referred to Alex's Auto, and within one week, Alex had worked on both my Cadillac and my 2001 Honda Accord. Eventually, I had to let the Cadillac go because it simply had too many issues. But to this day, Alex still services my Honda, and I wouldn't trust it with anyone else. One thing I truly appreciate about Alex is that he has never tried to overcharge me or make me feel like I don't understand what's going on with my car. He takes the time to explain everything, treats his customers with respect, and believes in doing honest work for a fair price. Good mechanics are hard to find. Honest mechanics are even harder. Alex is both. He's exceptional at what he does, but what stands out even more is the kind of person he is. He genuinely loves his work and goes out of his way to help people whenever he can. If you're looking for someone you can trust with your vehicle, I wholeheartedly recommend Alex's Auto. Honest, knowledgeable, dependable, and a genuinely good human being.

He said he only used Toyota witnessed by 3 people his word we ran the numbers on the labels none of the parts were Toyota they were from local auto store but charged full price for them charging my daughter $650 for junk parts we called him and told him he tipped us off!! A friend of ours went to get our money that he returned knowing he did us wrong without a fight he paid us back if we didn't look under hood or if it was another person who didn't know better he would have got over Big-time this guy is a Crook... .now car still Not running right he no longer answers our calls he never replaced coil packs like he said with installation of engine and car runs Horrible!! After calling numerous times I showed up in person and he denied ever saying anything about replacing parts 100% lied in my face and closed his shop door this is a Warning for anyone using this place he is not a honest man and now her car runs Horrible after over 4k spent this man has no pride in his work and does not stand behind his work just like another review says he will not pick up calls once he's paid Zero stars for this lyer who tried to pull a fast one. We hope he replies to this because it's not over we will proceed with action and hope this man doesn't rip off another person he didn't want to give receipts and pointed to cash only sign because he's a crook and don't stand behind his work and he got caught by us running numbers on label of parts he installed we are going to take action and we will post the final results here win or lose ! He feels since he returned the cash he ripped us off with and now thinks that it's ok to not repair the car right and just closed door to his shop and will not pick up his calls my daughter saved money for long time just to get ripped off by a shady shop that we cold busted him he's denying he ever said anything a complete lie to our face now we are here with car running horrible and were told not to repair until this will be settled . Loaded to the sideboards my daughter Hannah and I set off for Bridgeport Ca, (eastern sierras) last Saturday. My normally smooth running 2014 Jeep Wrangler 3.6 l v6 suddenly developed a serious issue. Pulling over to O'Reilly's in Oakdale as soon as the engine light started flashing resulted in me finding out that I had a cylinder 6 misfire and no local mechanics able to take a look. I noticed in Modesto Sergio's shop with 4.9 stars and called. He was able to fit me in. We limped in to Modesto where we found his shop. Walking through the graveyard of trucks was not encouraging but Sergio's son was...He re-assured us that his dad and uncle would fix everything. Thus began a 4.5 hour adventure of getting back on the road. Our experience at Sergio's involved his (and his brother's) methodical diagnostic process. At every stage we were informed about the procedure and their findings. It was a 97 degree day but cool in the air conditioned office where Sergio's family brought us water and assured us all would be well. The troubleshooting, test driving and removals (many times) of the manifold resulted in Sergio's methodical diagnostic. (I was a mechanic for 4 years I know)...New NGK spark plugs, ignition coils and even prayers to the Virgin of Guadalupe resulted in our Jeep leaving in tip top shape. Hannah and I spent the next three days driving over the 26% grade of Sonora Pass, 4 wheeling to Bodie and returning. The Jeep has never run better (153,438 miles). It is currently getting better mileage than it ever has (20.2) and climbing hills more efficiently. I only wish we didn't live in San Jose. Sergio's family Car Service and Junkyard is a place of integrity, hard work, honesty and caring. They want nothing more than for you to trust them to fix your car the best it can be fixed. Thank you.

I can't say enough good things about Main Street Garage…read more Last Friday, I was driving my '93 Jeep Wrangler from the Bay Area to Arnold with my daughter and our dog when things took a turn. Traffic rerouted us through back roads, and when we stopped at a cheese shop in the middle of dairy country, I noticed my front left tire was *smoking*. My phone was at 7% battery--perfect timing, right? I searched for the nearest auto shop, called Main Street Garage (about 5 miles away), and they immediately told me to come in. From the moment I arrived, the experience was incredible. Katie at the front desk jumped into action, got me checked in right away, and started calling around for parts. A kind customer even gave me an old cigarette lighter charger so my phone wouldn't die. The mechanic took my Jeep (and my dog!) back to the lift while we waited in an office that--no joke--had three beautiful Great Danes hanging out. The whole place just felt welcoming and human. They quickly diagnosed the issue (brakes and more), got to work, and had everything moving fast--even though it was already 4:30pm and they close at 5. After fixing the brakes, Mike (the owner) personally test drove the Jeep. When he got back, he told me he *wasn't comfortable* with me driving it up the hill yet and recommended replacing the brake hoses too. And here's where they went above and beyond: Mike coordinated with my husband and his wife Carly, and they actually drove me to Copperopolis so I could meet up with him and get home safely. Who does that?! They didn't just fix a car--they made sure we were taken care of. They stayed late, got everything handled by 6pm, and treated us with such kindness and urgency the entire time. I truly don't know another place that would go this far for their customers. Highly, highly recommend. (Also, bonus: Mike and my husband are now apparently bourbon buddies )

Recently, my long-term car services company referred me to Valley European without hesitation to assess and repair a cylinder issue on Mercedes GLC 300. More importantly, they informed me that Mercedes has known this issue for sometime and based on my mileage I should have no issues getting it replaced by them. They had the knowledge and the insights in advising me how to approach it, make sure to get all my service records and let them know that Valley European has already diagnosed the issue. They have excellent partnership with the local dealership due to their expertise. Ron ordered the parts for me, yet he was only happy to let me get this approved through the dealership, and didn't charge me for the diagnostics either. It certainly was a big expense job! I look forward to going back to them for my future servicing needs. HIghly recommend the team! Thank you guys!
