After so many fantastic peer reviews I knew girls night had to take place at SoNapa this month. This has been my favorite girls night location this year! Food was excellent and I'd score it a 5 out of 5 Service was just as good and really above a 5 out of 5. Ambiance was fine. Low lighting. Nice background music so 5 out of 5. Drinks - I ordered a bourbon specialty drink for $12.50. Smallest drink I've ever been served anywhere ever. 3 sips with the straw and it was gone. Completely ridiculous. So, at this restaurant only order wine or beer. Mixed Drinks were incredibly expensive. Mine should have been 2 dollars not $13. So I wrote this before I got the bill. They removed the drink price completely from the bill. Classy place. Empowered employees. read more

Nice new place in Ormond we tried for the first time. Nice ambiance. The Asiago cheese bread was a good choice for $5. And we really liked the wedge salad. My only complaint was our salad and entrees came out at the same time. I had to send my scallops back to be reheated by the time I finished my salad. Our party of 6 dined there at 5:30 on NYE. So it was pretty early in the evening. The dining areas were not full but had a good crowd. One couple had been there before and stated their previous dining experience was good so we decided to give it a try. Service was very good. No misses and efficient. Presentation was very good Food was a different subject. Not that it was bad . . . . I may have been expecting more. The 1/2 Wedge salad that is served for an addition $6 to your entree' was a small amount of Romain. The dressing was very good but disappointing as a salad. Another person in our group agreed. Shrimp and Scallops Carbonara is actually more like an alfredo sauce. Taste was just OK. Chicken Marsala - The risotto was good but the marsala was more of a gravy with little taste. Chicken was prepared appropriately but needed seasoning. The dish that had no complaints was the meatloaf. I didn't taste it, but the serving size was very nice. I know that pricing for all restaurants have going up but I feel that SoNapa needs to work on their food quality. Seems that it's "good" if you're going for food that is more on the bland side. I will give them another try because the atmosphere is nice and good service. read more

The food and service here are excellent! The menu has a wide variety of items, everything delicious and with a creative twist. But it doesn't stop at great food. Our server, ANGELICA, provided the best service I've ever experienced. Not only was she on top of everything - always checking on us at the right time, always refilling our water before we even had to ask - but she is literally the nicest, sweetest and funniest person ever, which made us feel so welcomed and in good hands. We also met JASON, the manager, who stopped by our table and he's a great guy, as well. They both had a wonderful sense of humor, and really went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our dining experience. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

Great new spot in Ormond! We loved SoNapa in New Smyrna and so happy there is one closer to home now. The interior is really nice and foods delicious. Highly recommend their jam gin cocktail (can't remember the exact name but it's highlighted on their cocktail list). Outdoor patio looks really nice and they have shades they can pull down to block the sun with little couches. Great service too! Our waiter was very attentive - will be back again soon read more

We frequent SoNapa for date night and also as a family of 4. Food is always fresh with great fish specials! Most recently had amazing pan seared halibut over potato purée with tomatoes, spinach, capers, and olives. Bread pudding is a dessert must! Super friendly team, many wine choices/pairings, and updated crisp decor inside and out. A consistent favorite. read more

My personal opinion is their menu is very limited. Price was a little much my two pieces of shrimp and few oz of tile fish and what they called pineapple fried rice for $32. Trust me the dish was not worth that price. The taste wasn't too great. Decor is nice but noisy inside. read more

The best restaurant in Ormond Beach. I come down here 2x a year and always make time for a stop at SoNapa. The Tuna Tacos are splendid and I think I've become addicted to the Baby Back Ribs - the blueberry kicker makes them outrageously good and it's not anything I've tasted in many years of enjoying ribs across the US. Service is always solid and very welcoming, I love the beer list, and my wife really enjoys their white wine, and she is quite picky about that. read more

My family and I have been visiting Ormond beach for years and was told about this restaurant by a friend back home in Georgia as well as during our trip this week. We were on a girls trip at the condo and decided to give this little restaurant a try after reading numerous reviews on yelp. We made a reservation for four of us and we're seated promptly when we arrived. We were greeted by a server name Kent who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Kent was very attentive during our entire visit and we were even visited by Nick the GM at Ormond beach location. When I tell you every single thing we ordered was amazing, I am serious. We had decided to try a couple of appetizers as well as entrées just to try several things and share them with one another. To start we ordered the three cheese asiago bread, Korean barbecue ribs, and bacon wrapped scallops. All three of these were very good and I definitely say to try the Korean barbecue ribs that come over better fries or the bacon wrapped scallops if you're sharing and you want a unique experience with an appetizer. We ordered two sides, potatoes and Brussels and both were good. Entrées that we ordered consisted of the scallop and shrimp carbonara, cauliflower base flatbread pizza with shrimp, and we also ordered the beet soup which was a special of the day and we ordered the lobster bisque which is a menu item. The cauliflower crust on the flatbread was really good and we could not taste the difference at all. The lobster bisque was really really good and the beet soup was really good I was told by my friend. I'm not a huge beet person so. The only menu item that I would not give an absolute five star to and this is just based on the fact I have had this dish at many locations over the years and therefore was not my favorite and that was the carbonara. It was not bad at all but not the best I've had. Only one of us ordered a drink and it was their similar version to a Mojito and she did enjoy that. We read a lot of wine reviews but we did not order on this particular night. We will absolutely be going back on our future visits and matter of fact we have made a reservation for this evening for the five of us since one of us had opted out before. I will definitely be back to this restaurant and I definitely would recommend it to locals as well as people that are traveling and if you want a very nice dining experience. We were pretty much casually cute dressed but I don't see a problem with shorts and a top if that's what you have. read more

Food was delicious and beer was cold. The smoked salmon dip was outstanding. We had pork chop and chicken Marsala. Portions were good sized. The patio seating was lovely. Service was average. Staff was polite but some fine tuning would make the experience even better. Some food items were cold and replacement took a long time, so forced to eat the dinner in shifts. Drinks were slow and some condiments never made it to the table. All in all we would go back again for another lovely evening. read more

Just had Easter dinner at SoNapa in Ormond Beach. While the food was good (albeit not hot enough) and the waitstaff pleasant enough, the food came out an unacceptable pace. Drinks were slow to arrive and once they did, it was like a race to get from appetizers to dessert served within an hour. Not acceptable for a $40 main plus appetizers, drinks etc. when the restaurant isn't full. Not sure I'll go back. read more

We tried SoNapa a few weeks after it opened and have been going every other week on our date night since! The service is top notch and the food is delectable! The special cocktails are delightful and the prices are in range for the service e and quality you receive. I definitely recommend a reservation if you come on a Friday or Saturday night. My friend and I went here for happy hour - tried a specialty drink and nachos - tasty. I read about this place starting out as a venture of friends who enjoyed wine - it expanded into restaurant. My friend informed me that she'd been to another one in Altamonte Springs - it's a chain. I don't typically do chains, but this place was okay in appeal and delivery. Might try it again. read more

First off, from the website, we expected kind of a swanky restaurant. When we got there, we saw it's in a strip mall and not so swanky. We kept an open mind though. We were not greeted in a very friendly manner by the host and the aesthetic was reminiscent of an Applebee's. We still kept an open mind. Then we got the food. The presentation was nice, but my entree had zero flavor. My wife had the grouper special, which was overcooked & overpriced and crumbled to dust in your mouth.
