Literally the worst sandwich I have ever received. I asked if the roast beef was rare and they said yes. After a 20 minute walk back to my office I open the sandwich to find literally TWO slices of overcooked fatty roast beef. This place should be ashamed of itself. I will never go there again. Something Natural is pretty good. There are so many sandwich & salad shops, it's fun to compare them. This weekend I tried: 1) Cisco Cesar Salad - shaved Brussels & Kale, Portuguese croutons, shaved Parmesan & creamy lemon dressing. Portion size was on the small size. Salad was fresh, dressing ok, the croutons were amazing ! I think these are some of the best croutons I've ever had. 2) Matt Fee Hibiscus Mint Tea - excellent! Not too sweet, subtle mint. This tea "pairs" extremely well with the Cesar salad. Almost as if it were made to go with it. If you order the salad, recommend getting the tea to go with it. 3) Chocolate chip cookies - large ! Good. Preferred the simple chocolate chip over the peanut butter one. I'm glad I tried Something Natural. I will definitely return for the Matt Tea - it's unique & refreshing. Plus it goes very well with food. As for the salads, there are so many salad options currently, will keep trying. Compared with other restaurants, I doubt any can compete with Something Natural's Portuguese croutons, so crunchy & delicious! read more

In full disclosure, I'm a huge fan of Something Natural on Nantucket, so I probably shrieked when I saw there was this outpost in Greenwich. The sandwiches were not as inventive as I remembered them, and while they were huge, they seemed to be put together a little haphazardly. My staple of sprouts, hummus, and avocado on herb bread did bring me back, though! (And we left with some herb bread, as well!) And the cookies. If you do anything, get one of their cookies. Or all the flavors and share. (Or keep them to yourself.) They have the best oatmeal raisin cookie. Ever. They just recently opened their coffee counter, and they have some robust offerings and pastries (but you need to go for the Something Natural cookies!). My husband loves desserts/sweets and I love bread/carbs. It's been an ideal situation when we eat out since I always take his bread roll and he takes my dessert. That was until we discovered Something Natural's herb bread and our barter system came to a screeching halt. The day we moved to Greenwich, we were sitting on our boxes tired from the long day when we decided to order something that would be fast and easy. We ordered sandwiches from Something Natural and discovered the Turkey, Bacon + Avocado sandwich on herb bread. Our love for Something Natural was born then and there. The bread alone actually tastes like Thanksgiving. When you add the deli turkey etc, it really is Thanksgiving wrapped up in a sandwich. I don't know what's in the bread, but for my husband to rave about it (when he would usually care less about any bread) is a first in our 12 years together. All that being said, we later found out that apparently, the herb bread isn't even what Something Natural is known for. They have another bread that's famous (by the way, they apparently make their bread in house). Besides the Turkey, Bacon + Avocado sandwich, they have a good amount of other amazing looking options on their menu we plan to try in the near future. Apart from the food, the vibe is casual and easy-going. The place itself is tucked away behind Greenwich Ave and they have 4 good sized benches to hang out on outside next to a cute little rowboat (I assume it's inspired by their other restaurant location in Nantucket). The benches are great on nice summer/fall days, but if it's cold or rainy, the indoor and porch seating is also a good option. It was about 2:00pm on Saturday and we started thinking about food. We knew we had dinner plans so we really didn't want anything too heavy. I read a few reviews on yelp and decided to try Something Natural. Lunch options include salads and sandwiches. My fiancé and I both decided to get sandwiches. You can choose a whole or a half. We both ordered halves and were glad we did because they were the largest half sandwiches I've ever seen. My fiancé ordered the curried chicken salad special with cashews and raisins on oatmeal bread and I got the avocado, cheddar, chutney sandwich on herb bread. They have a variety of amazing fresh breads to choose from. Since this was our first time here, we asked the woman who took our order for bread suggestions. She was spot on! I tasted both sandwiches and they were equally delicious. The only thing I would change is I would have preferred the avocado in pieces instead of mashed like guacamole. But, it was still fantastic and most definitely not a deal breaker. I'd order it again, either way:) To drink, I tried their strawberry lemonade and my fiancé got an iced coffee. I really enjoyed the lemonade. It wasn't super sweet and it was really cold, perfect for a hot Summer day! We also ordered a chocolate chip cookie. We planned to share it, but it was so good we had to go back and order a second:) This place is located in the back side of a parking lot. (It's right behind Saks Fifth Avenue). I've never done a yelp or any other kind of review before but I'm in my car shaking. For years I had ordered a complicated sandwich from something special both in Nantucket and then in Greenwich. I tone down the complication if the store is busy. About six months ago (there were no other customers there) I went into the Greenwich store and ordered my fav sandwich and while the person was making it the woman (manager?) was shaking her head and making snide derogatory comments about my sandwich "isn't that a little much?" And rolling her eyes. I finally had to leave bc she was so mean to me. I had already paid but was too upset bc of her harassment. I waited for months but finally went and there were three customers. I carefully ordered just a regular sandwich from the menu (sprouts with veg and cheese) and asked is it possible to also please add a little hummus. The register person said yes of course and I paid. I moved to the sandwich area and was planning to just keep my mouth shut bc I didn't want to make the woman mad. I noticed that the sandwich maker was putting the top on and accidentally forgotten the hummus. I asked about it and he added it. Phew done. Then I saw him take my sandwich and put it on a press ( I didn't even know they did that there). I should have just kept my mouth shut but instead I said oh I didn't think it was going to be grilled. That was it. She freaked out at me. I said it's totally fine. It might be good like that. She started taking it off and I said well no now it's a warm sandwich so it might as well be grilled. She was very angry and snatched my sandwich, loosely wrapped it and threw it at me in a bag. I kept saying why are you being so mean to me? I ordered so carefully a normal sandwich from the menu. She yelled at me that my name it on the wall! And that I'm not allowed to go there bc I can't be pleased. Like I said I'm in my car shaking and so upset. The warm sandwich is ok. I just don't get how she can treat me like that. It's unhinged and aggressive. She should apologize to me bc no one deserves to be treated like that The three stars are for the warm sandwich. I love love love Something Natural in ACK. This Greenwich business disappoints time and time again and is def the overlooked stepchild. The works lack energy and customer service. Every time I go there I have to repeat the order multiple times which is very confusing as I am ordering directly from the menu (no substitutions). Many times I have been there they are out of something. One time liverwurst, another time they only had rye bread left, another time Pickles. Also the sandwich's compared to ACK are skimpy. The ones in ACK less bread and more what is inside. Here you always have too much bread. This business can stand to have s manager oversee the operations and look at procurement as they need to get better at stocking. Also, change of staff is needed. You need peppy people like In ACK. This has been in my lunch cycle since it opened (eaten here less than 20 times but more than 10 times). Worth going for the fresh ingredients but they RARELY get the order right when ordering online. Usually very wrong, i.e. forgetting chicken on BYO salad, and they can be rude when asking them to correct. Great sandwiches and salads, when they get it right. read more

The croissant comes from Arthur avenue but is so perfectly made and the biscotti still has that fresh slightly soft texture! I am pregnant and asked when ordering for my bacon to be heated. This is a courtesy that has been extended every time I've ever ordered here before. The check out boy said no problem. When waiting for my sandwich I watched the maker put non-heated bacon onto the bread. I politely asked if he could heat it up. He did not acknowledge me. Instead the "manager" replied and was just flat out mean. I would have gotten the sandwich without the bacon if the person taking my order would have just said "sorry we can't do that." I totally understand that it is an extra step and I still would have enjoyed my sandwich minus the bacon. Instead I was spoken to in an extremely unprofessional way. Not sure why a few of the other posters here suggest that this location is so different from ACK. Maybe there is a bit of "vacation rose colored glasses" effect going on. In other words, food just tastes better when you're on Nantucket and relaxed versus stopping for lunch on a regular workday. Regardless, I've now eaten in the Greenwich in store once and ordered delivery three times and I have found it to be just as delicious as Nantucket all 4 times. The bread is just as I remembered it, the portions are just as massive, the cookies are just as fantastic, the iced tea lemonade is the exact same. This is a very welcome part of the options available to eat in Greenwich. There is nowhere you are going to get a better sandwich around town than here. read more

I paid this branch a visit last month and I had a very unpleasant experience. I ordered 3 items to go: a BLT with avocado spread, a Sprouts Veggies and Hummus, and a BYO salad with arugula as my choice of greens. For a sandwich that costs $10+, the amount of bacon and avocado that I received was ridiculously little. It's basically a rip off. I could've bought one at a deli for just $5, and I can assure you that their BLT is bigger and meatier than the one I got. Also, I could tell that the bacon was not fresh at all. The hummus on the veggie sandwich was not the same as I ordered in the past - it was very dry. The consistency of the hummus should be thick and creamy, not as dry as the Sahara Desert. The salad was also a rip off and utterly disgusting. The amount of salad in the bowl was not worth my $17. On top of that, the arugula was close to being withered, and it was light green to yellow in color. GROSS! For a place that claims to offer fresh ingredients, this is absolutely ALARMING. read more
