Let me start by saying a couple of general statements. Firstly, this place is simply amazing. Secondly, it seems people need to read about a restaurant before going to it, you wouldn't look into the window of a restaurant, see white table cloths, and go in and try to order chicken tenders from the maître d', or vice versa. My wife goes here a couple mornings a week for coffee and a breakfast sandwich and loves it. She says the service is always good and they recognize their customers. I have been here on a couple of occassions, for lunch and dinner and the chicken parm is one of the best I've ever had. Tonight we got chicken a parm "sub" (different format, totally worth it!) and a steak and cheese "sub". They were both absolutely fantastic. Whenever I go in the guys behind the counter are amazingly friendly, and to top it off, tonight they just gave me a bag of donuts just for the heck of it. There are very few restaurants/food establishments that feel so genuine these days. They're doing a great job. read more

Hidden gem in Andover, a stone's throw from route 93. I consider myself a cheesesteak "connoisseur" having sampled the delicacy all over the US and the Somebody's Place version stands shoulder to shoulder with the very best. The soft, chewy Portuguese "bread pocket" is filled to the brim with mouthwatering meaty, cheesey goodness. Insider tip: order the large to get the Portuguese pocket; the small comes on more of a standard roll. Many other great items including sandwiches, chili, fries, and some of the best-looking donuts around. Gluten-free options too if that's your thing. Friendly staff adds to the positive experience but even if they tossed the sandwich at me, I'd still give their cheesesteaks five stars. read more

I hate to make this kind of post but had to share a very negative experience. . My best friend and I stopped here for breakfast just before 9 AM today. At the order counter we chatted about the offerings mostly breakfast sandwiches. The chef behind the grill was 10' away - must've seen us if not heard us and chose not to acknowledge we were there. So we waited a few minutes. Nothing. A mom came in with her young son went to the pick up counter placed your order for a bagel. 2 staffers chatted with a little boy meanwhile we are still standing waiting to order or just somebody to acknowledge that we were there. An eye, a glance, a Hello. Nothing. So as we left I said "that's OK thank you anyway for your time." The response was "you're welcome". We decided to stop here, at the last minute, to grab some breakfast and went in and was greeted nicely but a young lady at the register who took our order. We got a egg and cheese sandwich and three donuts. The sandwich was good, but the donuts were outstanding and I highly recommend stopping by to get their donuts! read more

My wife and I stopped here for a late lunch on our way to Logan and had a great experience. I got the roast beef sub which they advertise as the "world's best". Honestly it just might be. The roast beef was fresh, tender and delicious and it is served on a super fresh sub bun. The sandwich is huge....impossible to finish in one setting so I took half of it with me on the flight home. Also the fries seasoned with old bay were phenomenal. My wife had a grilled chicken salad which she said was also great. We will definitely stop at Somebody's Place again next time we are in the area. read more

Do not understand the very positive reviews. Breakfast sandwich was very mediocre - did not feel freshly created but rather slapped together and processed. The cook was smoking outside the backdoor which is smack in the middle of the parking lot. Customer goes in and there's the same guy taking the order and preparing the meal. Perhaps they were just having an off day? Had a nice and thoughtful reply from the owner, Erin, and my feedback was taken in a very positive manner. Made the trip down from southern NH to try this place after seeing comments on Merrimack Valley Eats. Worth the drive. Got a steak and cheese and a thanksgiving sub. Both were very good. Plenty of filling and super soft bread. Boston Cream donut, awesome. Only negative, thought the 2.00 upcharge for onion in the sub was a little expensive as there wasn't a lot put in. read more

This place has the best cheesesteak sub I've had in a long time. I especially like how they make a pocket using an extra wide sub roll. The shaved steak grilled steak bits are generous in portion, juicy and tasty. I had it with just done mayo. The French fries were also very well done. I didn't have a chance to try the donuts but they looked ample and delicious. Perfect with caffeine I'm sure! Service was friendly and the food came out fast. This place is outstanding. It's so hard to find a place that serves non-breakfast type foods early in the day. I got a steak and cheese for breakfast and it was the best I have ever had. Wow!!!! Some of the best subs I have ever had. I got a pepper and onion steak and a chicken parm with peppers and onions, no parm just sauce. Absolutely delicious and very unique because they hollow out a half a loaf of Italian bread I believe and stuff your sandwich into it. Absolutely terrific food and great to support a local business. Alright, so I reviewed a couple of delish lunch sammies. Now I have something to say about their breakfast Sammie and Coffee. I am one who loves a little coffee with her cream. I purchased a large coffee and there wasn't enough room for my cream and decided I needed to take a few sips before adding more, but much to my surprise it was amazing as it was (color was a dark caramel color. I was over the moon about this gold in a cup coffee! Then came the house breakfast sammie it came on a portuguese sweet roll, delish omelette style eggs with veggies, cheese, and bacon. It was flavorful, fresh and down right YUMMY. It's official I am a huge fan in all aspects of this restaurant. The staff is quick and super nice, I've never reviewed a restaurant more, I want to spread the word so this place is here for a long time to come. Thanks and keep up the great work. read more

Wow... hadn't tried their breakfast menu before... my son had a breakfast sandwich on a Portuguese roll and was thrilled! He wanted me to get him a second one to go. i had a cappuccino and coffee roll. Coffee was good and the coffee roll was the best I can ever remember having. Erin the owner said they make them from scratch every day! I got six more and took them to work. They disappeared in minutes and everyone was asking where I got them. Its location is great right on Andover street and pretty convenient for picking up a donut on the go. The malassadas are quite tasty and reminiscent of the donuts I'd eat growing up in Puerto Rico. They have a more expansive food menu which is only available on weekends but on week days you can still order breakfast sandwiches. One thing that sets this place apart is definitely that they offer you chorizo as an option to put in your breakfast sandwich. Greasy? yes. Tasty? definitely. I want to give Somebody's Place 3.5 stars because it's not a place I see myself going back to anytime soon but if I've missed breakfast but have to hit the road, Somebody's Place is a better option than DD. read more

I've worked in Andover for over 6 years, and until this place opened, I used to hope and dream that a coffee shop would open in this exact location. They finally did last summer and it's been perfection ever since. It's so convenient if you come into town from Dascomb Road. Parking lot always has space, it's so much easier than trying to find parking downtown for coffee. The owners are so nice - great, genuine people, working hard and creating something wonderful. They always know my "regular" order, line moves quickly every day. I try to not have donuts often, but theirs are an absolute treat. SO good! read more

First time there and it's just there on the side of the road. My husband and I decided to go in and try it. WOW!!! Delicious!!! Adorable place Somebody's Place in Andover Mass. We got the steak and cheese. The owner calls it a socket. It's between a sub and a pocket. Fresh roast shaved to order for the freshest and tastiest steak and cheese. The onion rings and fries were perfectly seasoned. Definitely will be back. My husband has actually been back two days after we first visited. If he likes it then it's just amazing food. You must make the time to go there and try them out. You will LOVE it!!!!! read more
