Ivonne in her atmosphere

I have loved Sombrero Tacoria for awhile now, AMAZING Birria Tacos! Up until recently, I've had to travel to or have them delivered from Ridgewood, but no longer! They're now available right in my neighborhood My first time ordering, I placed the order online, but to the wrong location. Once I arrived, looking for my order, my mistake was realized, and even though I was happy to drive to the original location to pick up, Ivonne happily remade my order. She got on the phone and found out exactly what my order was, and I was leaving with my tacos within minutes! Thanks, Ivonne, for the excellent customer service, beautifully decorated restaurant, and consistently delicious food! I'll be back FOR SURE (and have been multiple times since!)

Great, flavor food. Tacos, Quesadillas, Burritos, Bowls. Lots of options of protein. Great place to grab a quick bite. Inside was very clean and decorative. Will be back.

Tomato, a sprinkle of cheese, unrecognizable meat, and wet tortilla like substance

Bloomingdale, NJ - this place is a favorite of the locals and among my top 3 Mexican restaurants in…read morethe area, but is the one we like to dine in at the most because the food is always good, it's homey, and the people are very sweet. I'm always psyched for the salsa here and could probably polish off a whole basket of tortilla chips by myself with it. It's got just the right amount of mild kick. You're given a complimentary cheesy tortilla as an appetizer as well. We often get the queso derretido con chorizo appetizer, a combo platter of some sort, and I'm a fan of their paella as well, which is stuffed to the brim with chicken, chorizo, and seafood. They serve up a complimentary dessert of banana & honey chimichanga at the end which is yummy. The prices have gone up a fair bit in the last couple of years, and they do charge 4% for credit card payment (an increasingly common practice that's anathema to someone who hates carrying cash like me), so I was tempted to take away a star. But in light of our overall great experiences here, always satisfying meals, excellent and friendly service (shoutout to Fabian), not to mention the freebies they throw in, a 5-star rating is still justified.

Alongside, a pitcher of the remaining cocktail to top off your glass as needed. For a starter, order some guacamole--it's loaded with big chunks of fresh avocado. I made a note to try the chilaquiles next time. For an entree you can't go wrong with the Chamorro plate. A fall apart pork shank, that is slowly braised in a rich ancho chile sauce. The pickled onions and jalapeños balanced it out perfectly. I would order a side of tortillas to make tacos, or you can simply enjoy with the rice and refried beans on the plate. I asked for some "hot" salsa, it reminded me of salsa guajillo (not spicy, but very flavorful), and it was great on everything! The staff is very friendly. Definitely stop by if you are craving some Mexican food.

We ordered the molcajete, which is the best dish we ordered since it came with chicken, beef, chorizo and shrimp. I also ordered the chimichanga with shrimp, which was good flavor wise. One thing we ordered was the carne asada medium, but when it first came out, it was overcooked and dry, so we asked for a new one which also came out well done but it at least had juices in it, so rather than try a third time, we just ate it, and it wasn't the worst steak we ever had because that title belongs to Punta Morada is Islamorada. Drinks we ordered were margaritas and mojitos, which were good sizes and strong. This place is a decent spot overall.
