Take-out is great too, but compared to what they can fit in takeout container, it seems the dine-in platters are just nicer and more appealing. Burritos were big, and they come two to an order, so you will have lunch the next day. I'm still trying to get the weekend tamales, but I never get there early enough before they run out!

I'm always psyched for the salsa here and could probably polish off a whole basket of tortilla chips by myself with it. It's got just the right amount of mild kick. You're given a complimentary cheesy tortilla as an appetizer as well. We often get the queso derretido con chorizo appetizer, a combo platter of some sort, and I'm a fan of their paella as well, which is stuffed to the brim with chicken, chorizo, and seafood. They serve up a complimentary dessert of banana & honey chimichanga at the end which is yummy. The prices have gone up a fair bit in the last couple of years, and they do charge 4% for credit card payment (an increasingly common practice that's anathema to someone who hates carrying cash like me), so I was tempted to take away a star. But in light of our overall great experiences here, always satisfying meals, excellent and friendly service (shoutout to Fabian), not to mention the freebies they throw in, a 5-star rating is still justified.

I was disappointed by the horchata which tasted and looked artificial and syrupy; the texture and flavor were both off. The decor is quite cute and charming. 3.5.
