They have a separate…read morebuilding with a really nice room overlooking the river on one side and the fire pit/main restaurant on the other The room itself is warm & inviting with lots of wood, big windows, high ceilings and the tables can be set up any way you want. We had a cocktail party for about 35 people at high tops and it was excellent (plenty of room for dancing, etc) The food was delicious, prices are very reasonable and the staff were great! I highly recommend having any kind of party there! I can't say enough about Erin who was the event manager. She worked with me for months making sure that everything is going to be perfect. I'm sure I was driving her crazy at several points but her patience was exceptional and her management & organization skills are incredible! She also is a tech wiz (at least compared to me) and helped me set up a playlist for the party on a Bluetooth system and a video loop of photos of my husband to play on the TVs. She was there the whole night along with a bartender and runner and everything was as smooth as can be. I was totally relaxed knowing that she was taking care of all the details! Thank you so much, Erin! The party would not have been a terrific success without you! Definitely check out River for your next party!

This is a great gastropub. We always enjoy coming here, even just for beers and apps. The food is…read moremostly terrific, with changing specials and daily happy hour items on rotation, and some exotic game meats thrown in the mix like elk, bison, and wild boar. The tater tots are magical! Crispy, fresh and golden. My husband makes fun of the fact that I order tater tots everywhere they're offered, but even he admits these are awesome. The restaurant definitely lives up to its name - there is an extensive and I mean EXTENSIVE beer list, and they are always adding new craft beers and selections from local breweries. The bourbon, whiskey and scotch list is pretty respectable too. There's always something happening here: trivia/bingo nights, a tapping event, or when UFC is on, so the variety in food and entertainment keeps things constantly interesting. The beer garden is open for the warm weather so you can dine outside as well. Service is great!

My coworker and I ate here twice during a single week. The place has a cool vibe, nice interior,…read moreand friendly staff. The reason for the 2 stars is because of this experience: On the first visit we ordered nachos. There was probably a tablespoon of pico de gallo on top. When we asked for some salsa, the server said that the pico de gallo should be enough, so basically she was saying, "No, you can't have any salsa." The nachos were extremely dry because of the small amount of cheese and pico de gallo. We asked again if we could have any salsa and this time her reply was, "We only make salsa on Thursdays." What the heck? You have nachos on the menu but only have salsa on one day of the week? She eventually did bring us one of those small plastic cups filled with about another 2 tablespoons of pico de gallo, but definitely not enough for a tray of nachos. On the second visit, one of the employees overheard my coworker say that she was going to order the impossible burger. He proceeded to go on and on (and I really do mean go on and on) about how awful the impossible burger is at this place. Opinions are fine but there's no need to make someone feel bad about what they want to order.

I stood by the counter and no one looked at me. Finally one of the kids asked me if he could help me. Picked up my meatball parm and went home. Paid two extra dollars for garlic bread, and two extra dollars for extra cheese. I do not believe there was extra cheese, and for two dollars, I should have NO doubts there was extra cheese. There wasn't really even enough cheese on it for there to have been a regular parmesan sandwich. So that 13 dollar sandwich became a 17 dollar sandwich. I do not think that was a good deal. And I do not believe that it was served on garlic bread. I've had lots of garlic bread, and I can always tell it's garlic bread, mostly because it tastes like garlic. I actually forgot we ordered it on garlic bread until my last bite, which was all bread, and I noticed the distinct lack of garlic. Also missing were some meatballs. There were perhaps four or maybe five small meatballs on this 10 inch roll. It was very sparse. The sauce was good. Overall, not very impressed with this place. It was a poor first impression. I suggest training the people who work there to greet customers as soon as they walk in. Just have someone yell "Hello, we'll be right with you!". Or give a smile and a nod toward the counter. or SOMETHING. I know margins are slim at a restaurant, but maybe put an extra meatball in the sandwich, and some extra cheese on if you're going to charge two dollars for extra cheese. Don't think I'll be going back.
