Stopped by this spot again while we were on a walk. Ordered the food to go. One thing I will say is a plus is that the food was cooked fresh so we did have to wait a bit. The person working greeted us as soon as we walked in and was very courteous. I had never seen a quesadilla the way they made theirs but it was still pretty good. I still think the food could be more flavorful but the sauces helped. Wasn't a fan of the rice but it did have veggies in it. Decent portion for the price. You can eat in or take out. Butler, NJ - this is still my favorite taco joint in the area, and I finally came here for a sit-down dinner. You're served complimentary tortilla chips with salsa when you're seated - they are homemade from fried tortillas and are crunchy and irresistible, so much better than store tortilla chips. We really enjoyed the CHICKEN FAJITAS, very flavorful. My PORK CHOPS WITH ONIONS came with two pork chops and was pretty decent too. The CARNE ASADA was meh, kinda dry and the meat was under-seasoned. Entrees are served with a side of rice & beans. I wasn't a fan of the horchata which seems to be made from a syrup concentrate and is just not the same as fresh horchata. Portions are enormous, and although prices have been raised over the past few years like everywhere else, they're more than reasonable and are still at a "pre-inflation" level IMO. It felt like an eternity between us finishing and just getting the waitress's attention just to get the check. We ordered Tacos al Pastor and Tacos Pork Enchilada. The flavors were amazing. The zing the pineapple provided in the al Pastor was so refreshing. The salsas were spot on. Salsa Verde was mild with wonderful tomatillo flavor and the orange salsa was spicy as heck, made with pepitas, which we loved. Everything was fresh and quick and very friendly. This was our second visit and once again it didn't disappoint! We ordered the chicken fajitas, carne enchilada sopes, tinga quesadilla, rice and beans, guacamole, and Chilaquiles. Wow... this was a delightful surprise in downtown Butler. We've driven by many times but never stopped until tonight when we were craving some enchiladas. I ordered the chicken enchiladas ($8) and chicken quesadillas ($8). Rice and beans included! Let me start by saying the portions are huge! No kidding, I could only eat two of my four enchiladas..look at the pic! Did I mention rice and beans were included? The quesadillas are also a huge portion served with a salad. They also include plenty of salsas (without us even asking for more) - spicy, fresh and delicious!! Oh and wait, did I mention they were complimentary??? Other places in the area charge for extra sauces! Not this place! The beans and rice were spicy and so good! Yum!!! The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I could tell they take pride in what they do and serve. I'm happy to say I've found a new favorite place that deserves a whole lot more Yelp attention and I'm proud to give it to them. This is probably one of four Mexican restaurants in a 2 mile radius in Butler so that means, you better have your A game to be successful! Called in our order and it was not quite ready to go once we arrived, but we did get there before the time they said. First thing I noticed is that it was quite empty - like nobody there, which usually is a sign to run! But after a short wait, we received our food.. 3 meals and a side of rice and beans for just under $30... I ordered their Taco meal, which comes with 4 "Stuffed to the gills" Tacos. I went with their Carne Enchilada and boy, they were the best I've had since living in San Diego - so yea, they were THAT GOOD! Served with a heaping of meat, topped with onions and cilantro, with incredible spice!!! The Flower tortilla's were cooked to perfection! Let's just say, my wife and I were happy campers and this place is definitely become our go-to Mexican Restaurant. We went there today to try a new Mexican food option (new tp us). We were kindly greeted upon entering, being the only customers there we were given the option to sit anywhere. We ordered Chicken fajitas and cecina huaraches. The complimentary chips and homemade salsa were delicious. When the food came out we were shocked! I had never seen a more pale bunch of chicken for fajitas. It looked boiled. The chicken was bland, completely unseasoned. The peppers were warm, but almost raw. We have never had a worst chicken fajita dish anywhere. The huaraches were covered in chopped raw jalapeños. They were not complementary to the dish at all, they took over. Overall, we had a pretty disappointing dinner experience, and two barely edible meals. We ended up wrapping up our meals after a few bites, and throwing the food out out at home. Based on this experience, we will not be going back, nor can we recommend this place. read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time and found it to be very different from what we are used to at a Mexican restaurant. Shrimp diablo was very hot as the name indicates, and very good. Accompanying salad had good avocado slices. Cheese enchiladas had a different kind of cheese, not the usual found in similar Mexican dishes. Served with a green sauce that was also very hot. Waitress/owner was very attentive to insure we were enjoying our meal and accommodating to our vegetarian requests. Next visit we will lighten up on the spicey. read more
