I've had three negative experiences with the same associate at this Woodbridge, VA location, and it's clearly a pattern. The first time I brushed it off. The second was the day after Thanksgiving when I brought my niece in for a bra fitting--she left saying it was the most unhelpful service she'd ever experienced and refused to buy anything. My most recent visit was no different: unfriendly, unhelpful, and unwelcoming. I was ignored until I asked for help, and even then, this associate was less than happy to assist me. This location used to have the most professional, helpful, and friendly associates. What happened??? I've also read other reviews describing similar issues at this location and with this associate. With the amount of money I've spent here, I'm now questioning whether I'll return and will likely shop elsewhere if nothing changes. read more

I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Soma in Woodbridge. The staff came across as dismissive, unhelpful, and completely uninterested in assisting customers. Instead of welcoming guests, they walked around as if they had no concern for the people in the store. What upset me the most was how poorly they treated children, especially those with special needs. Their lack of patience and compassion was not only unprofessional but also deeply disappointing. Families should never feel uncomfortable or judged when shopping, yet that's exactly how this store made us feel. In particular, the woman at the front desk was extremely rude from the moment we walked in. Her behavior set the tone for the entire visit and left a lasting negative impression. I normally don't like to call businesses out, but in this case, I feel it's necessary. If you have children--especially children with special needs-- I strongly recommend avoiding this location. Three words "Poor Customer Service"!! The ladies that work here now need to either find another Job where they don't need to speak or attend to someone's questions. I asked one of the ladies that was fumbling with some bras in a drawer if she worked there and she said "yes" and just stood there look at me ! I then proceeded to say, "well, can you please help me?", she came closer and couldn't answer me question, so she waved down another lady, who said she was the "Panty expert"! lol she rushed me through my questions and I asked her if she was ok! She wasn't listening to anything I was inquiring about and kept asking another set of ladies questions that came in after me. At the register she said " I hope you didn't feel like I rushed you" !!! I said " you did, and that other lady just left me standing there" Not sure why she had to mention that they were busy ( four people in the store) and once again state she was the panty expert!! She ramble several reasons why she and the other lady behaved the way they did and said she had to defend herself and the other lady!!! Defend herself from what ???? Her bad customer service!!! The days of driving far are over now that Soma has made its way to Stonebridge! I cannot tell you how many times I've been to this location, so it's only right I finally write this review! They have the best pajamas to grace your skin! Imagine a cool breeze consistently blowing on your skin, that's how magical the material feels. Hot nights no more!!! It's one of those things you have to experience to believe. As if that's not enough, they offer a unique complimentary bra fitting and most likely will have the size you need. They also have a wide range of underwear to meet the fit and style you hold tried and true. The store always smells divine when you walk in. Smiling happy faces greet you as well! The ladies are so helpful, accommodating and patient. Shopping for boulder holders is not always as pleasant as one would think. However once you find something that fits right and works well, you know it's time well spent. They also offer a rewards program where you can earn rewards based on your purchase. They also have a period of time that they will let you donate a gentle used bra and in return you'll get $10 off a brand new bra. So happy Soma is holding things up at Stonebridge! read more

Woodbridge location Store smelled like cigarettes on a number of occasions. Who wants to shop intimates with that stench?! I can not return.

I recently lost 140# so needed to be fitted for new bras...so I came here and they were amazing. They helped me try on probably 10 bras and helped me find the perfect one (and yes, I was a different size than I thought). They also gave my daughter coloring books and crayons to keep her busy while they were busy with me. WINNING. I had such a good experience that I brought my mom and aunt back to be fitted (mom left with new bras, aunt didn't because she's old and cranky and stuck in her ways). And then I went back for a strapless bra. And then I went back for some underwear to match the bras. And then I had a coupon that was one-day expired and I called them, explained, and...they made it work for me! SWEET! Of course I then proceeded to buy more bras and some PJs I'd been looking at. And then I took another friend to be fitted. This place is awesome. I will miss being 20 minutes away when we move this summer... *They are just down from Starbucks. read more

First time visiting, SA very helpful, dressing rooms looks very nice , ( which you don't see these types anymore) . Prices is bit higher then most but I found what I was looking for . 3 bras at little over $100- with bogo sales . They do have no padding, wireless bra that is nice and prettier than most older version, I like this company, it's my go to bra shop place . read more

The associates there were not friendly. They would look at each other with every comment I would make. It made me feel uncomfortable. I will not make any further purchase ever again from Soma. Furthermore, I made a big order of intimates to learn a pair of my underwear had a hole in them. I tried to return with tag and receipt and the associates said they couldn't do anything because the system locks them out because it had been months. I never though I would have to check the seat of my underwear...never had to do this with other stores. The point is, Soma had underwear that were flawed; what's interesting is they had the same pair of underwear in a bin on clearance which they would not allow me trade out! So after buying a bra, only because I had a birthday coupon, I decided I no longer will support Soma...returned the bra and just got a couple of pair of underwear with that $15 coupon. Definitely not my kind of store...no wonder these stores are always so empty. I'll stick with Nordstrom's and Victoria's Secret! They both have great quality products and customer service! read more

I saw a commercial about this place and decided to check it out. I was greeted right away and Danielle helped measure me and correctly fit me. To my surprise I was in the wrong bra size and Danielle showed me how the bra was supposed to correctly fit. I had been measured a long time ago and didn't think anything would change. Came in yesterday& had a bra fitting with Amanda. It was my first time in the store, and I needed some new bras. I think I may have tried on nearly every bra in the store and couldn't find one that didn't have me either spilling out or bunching at the sides, so needless to say I did walk out the store with nothing. Why the 4 stars then you say? Bras are very personal (maybe the most personal item) and not every kind is going to fit every person. But, Dawn& Amanda were truly awesome, very patient, super attentive and brought me loads of options. They really did look at each and every bra with me, and were nice& fun to talk to. The prices are comparable to Victoria's Secret, the marketing I think is to a slightly older& more mature group than Victoria's Secret and the bras overall are more functional than sexy. The store is much less annoying to be in compared to Victoria's Secret- no annoying music or weird smells/lighting and the store overall is way more personal& small. Soma is definitely elevated compared to a department store. It was easy to tell that Somas product was high quality. read more

Finding a bra that fits for some women often seems to be the impossible task. Finding a shop that will actually work with you in finding one that fits is equally almost impossible. It is with great pleasure that I can fully recommend Soma in Woodbridge. The shop is clean, well organized, has a good selection of styles, sizes, and options. The sales people are friendly as soon as you walk in the door, mind you not pushy! I worked with Dawn and she is fantastic, hoenstly I must have tried on 7 or 8 different styles, not once did I get the feeling that Dawn simply wanted to complete the sale. She wanted me to be fully comfortable and satisfied with my purchase. During my first visit I also purchased a great dress and cardigan type top that I wore to a wedding. I would have never tried on the style unless sweetly encouraged by Dawn to give it a try. WOW the dress worked perfectly and the top simply "made the outfit". I have been back to the shop again to make a few more purchases, received the same type of great customer service as I did the first time. Plan to go back again soon. read more
