It doesn't look like a review has been written about this location for a long time, so I just wanted to say how wonderful my experience has been at this store recently. The assistant manager is passionate about her job and it shows. She has provided customer service above and beyond the call of duty. First of I want to start with saying, I have been a loyal soma customer since 2018.. I even worked as a manager for many years and so this experience was my first of a kind EVER!! Background for content, I just recently gave birth to baby boy April 2023. I arrived to return a bra, that I wore a few times and by 3rd wear the underwire was coming out. (Ladies remember when your bra was too large and it was poking on the sides) imagine that but in middle, is where the underwire was breaking. It was a nude color bra and when I wore it the pigment from the clothing and my skin rubbed on the bra. Not to mention summer time =sweat and pigments do transfer!!!!! (This will make sense keep reading) Asian lady proceeds to say not Can I help, rbis is what I can do: but . WOW your baby is so big, and she making hand gestures that he "fat" and "wide" he is 12.5lbs. But, she keeps saying your baby is big" then she says I can't return your bra before she even began the transaction 2/3 have denied me services. The manager Sarah never wanted to help. Asian lady and I are not understanding eachother, LAST employee assist mngr. DITTA" or DIDI starts saying something under her breath (worst employee of bunch) ; ALL three ladies all were terrible. All three of these staff need some basic customer service 101. asian lady that was doing the transaction couldn't locate the order, she was older and with English being a second language the communication was an issue. Her assistant manager dida, or ditta approached and started looking at the bra. Under her breath she was giving off body language and facial expressions like, eww this looks gross. At glance, WE SHOULD NEVER JUDGE... her nails were painted black and chipped and homegirl needed a manicure but, I didn't say that out loud as most people know the golden rule, if you have nothing nice to say keep your mouth shut!!! as well, some things are just better off left unsaid . I asked her if there was an issue. Her response, " your bra, looks like it been ran threw the dirt, and I've never seen a bra that looks this bad. IT GROSS" Mic DROP. Taken back by what she said. Im humiliated, offended and the level of judgement, was so disgusting. I am now, being told by the Asian lady yeah the system won't let me, it's way past the 60days..... i asked her if she could please work with me, i had just had baby, I am ONLY ONE DAY PAST THE 64days. She says no, she cannot do anything, she reminded me that, I heard what the manager and ast manager had to say ..by now the manger is out of sight, oblivious to what has transpired up front. the ast mngr insulted me, rolled her eyes, told me she didn't have time for me, and went back to doing her own thing after I told her --- "never ever treat a women that way in an intimate women's shop." You language suggest I'm dirty". She walked off and left me back with the older Asian lady she isn't going to help: i asked for manager. Sarah, tells me this is policy, she isn't going to risk her job for me; i told her I worked for company and i know the policy has exceptions, she told me they had corporate meeting and everyone on the same page, CS can't do anything. She is now refusing to help so the later I'll save for the district manager. I honestly, want people to know kindness cost nothing, you have no idea what people are going through. When you go into a boutique, you expect a higher level of customer service, these are terrible quality, low performing, laxy daisy approach, think there shit don't stink attitude having employees. What worse the manager and ASM both did even offer a simple apology. Offer to compromise being that I was one day over.... The lack of customer service goes to show how the company is also lacking quality vs quantity..... these women should be terminated and find better overall staff. I don't believe how I was treated I would rather deal w/ CS then human like this I can believe that store is still operational. Attitude stinks from The TOP DOWN!!!!!! P.S i did call CS, they were able to issue my refund and confirmed policies. I will be talking with district manager and will share the details in greater length. Retraining course! I've been a Soma customer for the last 5 years after one of my co-workers told me about the shop. I don't like writing bad reviews about a business but I feel it's needed for this business so it could improve. I bought a couple of bras (new style recommended by the sales person) and 5 pairs of panties in March just before the Covid-19 lockdown. Last month, my old undies were showing wear so I decided to try the new bra. To my surprise it didn't fit me like it did when I was trying it on at the shop. The issue was it kept rising up no matter what I did. Due to a major surgery I had last month and the recovery time I wasn't able to bring both bras in for an exchange until last Saturday. When I got to the shop, I explained the situation and told the sales person that i was aware of my items being past the return deadline. I asked her if she could make an exception due to extenuating circumstances by issuing a store credit for me to purchase another style that would fit me. Unfortunately, she was no help at all so I asked for a manager and she said she was the manager. Omg...Her name was Lexx or Lexy (her handwriting wasn't clear) and she wrote the customer service number and told me to call them and see what they could do. I asked her if she could call them to override the return policy and she said I needed to call them myself. Where is the customer service? A couple days later, I called the number she gave me and it was for Chico not Soma. I logged into my Soma account and started a chat session and they provided a free return label for me to return the bras for store credit. Btw, apparently Chico own Soma but does everyone know that? I wanted to give zero star for Bellevue shop's customer service but Yelp doesn't allow a zero star. read more

I have been a Soma customer for many years ,15 plus, and have never had any problems except with this location. I went to exchange a pair of pants for a smaller size and had the receipt and also in the return time frame and the Manager- Asian lady- said she would not exchange them because the tag wasn't on them. I had put them on and kept falling down and worn for approximately 30 minutes . She said if she each exchanged them without a tag she would get fired. Meanwhile I have purchased items from Soma that had a hand written tag on them so were those people who wrote the hand written tag fired? Even another customer said to her, be nice, it's the holidays. I left the store with my pants and went to another location to exchange where they were not rude. Then two weeks later went to exchange a pair of pj pants for a smaller size, tried on and taken off again, so never worn. I had the tag and receipt but tag not physically attached. The lady I worked with- tall, Caucasian lady- said she should not exchange them because tag was physically attached but would do it just this once- meanwhile sighing and rolling her eyes and tone of voice was rude. While she was eye rolling and talking she reattached the tag in less than 5 seconds. My daughter stood at the entrance to the store and could see her eye rolling and could hear her and made a comment to me when we left. They are helpful when you want to buy something but don't try exchanging or returning anything at this location because of their rudeness. In fact i won't shop at this location anymore. Stay away from these ladies. read more

I visited 2 locations in 2 days; BOTH are super helpful and I would recommend both. I'd like to say the Bellevue Square location takes customer service to the next level. Amazing!!! I walked out with 4 bras I didn't plan on purchasing, but were exactly what I needed. Thank you!!!! read more

Shopping for bras happens to be one of the few things I hate shopping for. However, I have found that I can always rely on Soma when that time comes. I usually shop at the Pacific Place location but stopped by when I walked by a sale sign. Soma manages to carry my size in the essentials I need. I forgot the name of the salesperson that helped me but she was awesome to work with. She remeasured me, and helped me find the bras I was looking for. I ended up buying more than what I anticipated but hey, when I find bras that fit me well, its worth buying a couple. While the Pacific Place location is more convenient for me, I wouldn't hesitated to come back here due to the great service I experienced. read more

This is the worst company ever. I ordered two bras online and I have a summer address so I put in a different mailing address than my billing address. After 10 days of hearing nothing, I finally called the company and they told me that they canceled the order because I have a different billing address then a shipping address. Instead of contacting me and asking me why this is, they just canceled the order without letting me know. I guess this company is too stupid to realize that maybe people ship things to different addresses other than their billing addresses? God forbid that I have a summer address or two different addresses or perhaps I was mailing these to my daughter as a gift. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere to buy your intimate apparel, this company not only cancels order for no reason, it takes you almost an hour to reach someone via customer service, and when they pick up the phone, they're complete idiots. read more

SHE IS AWFUL. all she cares about is the sale if you want to return something make sure you either have your receipt or register with soma otherwise you get half of what you bought the item for. you can call customer service to get the info to return item but she hid in the dressing room for 20 minutes and made me wait. wow what kind of manager is this? first and last time of shopping here... read more

To me, undergarments is more than just a necessity. I like Soma's vanishing edge panties. Comfortable, good support. And no visible panty lines. Who really wants to see that? It works great if your dress is semi-transparent. The intimates here are well made. It can provide proper support from lifting to minimizing. The style is more simple. Sales people are friendly. read more

I've shopped at Soma for a few years, and this is the first time that nobody greeted me or offered to assist me with my shopping. I'd been in the store for around 5 minutes, selecting panties from the table up front. I found the ones I planned to purchase and continued to walk around the store looking for other items. Neither of the two sales people greeted me; however, the woman ahead of me and the one who entered the store well after me were both greeted. I wasn't dressed up, so perhaps the fact that I was wearing hiking shoes and a fleece top put them off, thinking I didn't have the money to buy clothes. Too bad for Soma. They lost a sale. I placed all the panties on the counter and left, heading to Nordstrom where I proceeded to spend money on quite a bit of lingerie. read more

Told the salesperson in detail exactly what I needed and she sold me on the opposite. Slick! They were out of my size in the bra style I wanted, so I relied on the staff's expertise. Which in the fitting room was fine, but in the actual daily wearing of the bra has not worked out. It seemed like the sale was really the only important thing... not buying a great bra and gaining a customer for life. The only reason I'm not giving them a two is that the bras I bought are really flattering and (mostly) look great. They just aren't feasible in hot weather and don't stay in place. If you're looking for a simple bra and cute undies, Soma is fine. If your cups overfloweth and you're looking for structural underpinnings with breathable materials, I don't recommend. read more

They offer free private bra measurements and the employees are well trained to offer suggestions based on each woman's unique issues. I am writing this review not so much as a user of the Soma product, but as a comment on their customer service. I purchased my wife a gift card for Christmas last year. She like Soma so it was well received. However, i evidently got tossed with the wrapping paper, because it vanished. Our $100 right? No, I emailed Soma Customer service and they found my transaction at the store, cancelled the old card and sent me a new one. But wait, there is more! My wife got on-line and made an order. The heard nothing after a few weeks. So I emailed customer service again. Within the hour I received a reply (after 9:00 PM!) There had been a computer error on there end and the card balance has been restored. Were sorry you will have to redo your order... While it would have been preferred not to have a glitch, they fixed it in an hour. Most of the time for getting the new card we USPS time. They just rock! read more

One more reason to dislike this store. Absolutely unbelievable. I went in to the store tonight to exchange a PJ set I got for my B-day. The total was $30.00, I selected something else and when she rang it up the total that I owed seemed high. She stated that they don't give you the tax back if you don't have the gift receipt or a profile set up in their system - huh???? so they get to keep that incremental tax amount - think about that a few bucks on every exchange without a gift receipt- absolutely unheard of. read more

One of the worst experiences of my life! This old lady kept trying to put me in the wrong size and put me in a style that was totally granny. She was so dumb she saw the expression on my face and when I tried having another girl help me she stepped in. She was super pushy and fake. When I handed her the bras and politely told her I was leaving without purchasing anything she told me "I think you should just buy them all." I really don't recommend going here. So, I have to tell you, I've been shopping for bras since 4th grade, yes, 4th grade (I was an early bloomer.) Out of all those years, I have seldom had a good experience finding a bra that fits and gives enough support for the girls. My daughter who is equally as chesty as I, (sorry girl!) went to Soma in Dallas and had a fantastic experience. She told me to give it a try so I visited the Soma at Bellevue Square in Bellevue, Washington. I was not disappointed. Immediately I was greeted by their wonderful, friendly staff member and she got to work measuring me to evaluate my correct size and asked questions to determine what "look" I wanted. Within a very few minutes the worker had found a bra that fit me perfectly, was comfortable, and was everything I'd hoped for. I bought three!!! Loved their individualized, friendly, personable customer service!!! It is wonderful that after so many years of searching and being unhappy, I have found my bra store!!! The wire on one side of my soma bra started to poke through, and I took it back to exchange it. Without even looking at the item, I was told they wouldn't exchange it. I have been a customer there for several years, and now I won't be going back because they won't stand behind their products or customers. read more

I hate shopping for bras but my daughter raved over Soma so I thought I'd give it a try. Was greeted as I looked over the selection and asked if I needed help. Both women working that day were friendly and helpful. I tried on a bra but it didn't feel right so Jessica asked if I'd like to be sized. She went back and forth between me and another customer and managed to make us both feel we had her undivided attention. She explained why I had been having trouble with the size I normally purchase and brought in several styles to try on. I came away with 3 bras that actually fit and 2 nightgowns. When one of the nightgowns I wanted wasn't in stock in my size, she ordered it for me and it's being shipped to my home, no charge. And I still rec'd the sale price. I now have a place to purchase lingerie where I feel like the customer is important...and not because of $$$ terms but because they want you to have a positive experience and leave with an item that works for you. I mentioned as I was leaving that now I can toss the bras I have that don't fit, and she told me about a program they have where you bring in your clean, wearable bras (no stains, tears, etc) and they will donate them to a local women's shelter.
