I managed to grab a lemon raspberry scone for the drive home, and I think it's my favorite scone now. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and exactly what you want from a great scone. Between the quality, the setting, and the variety, this is the kind of place that works just as well for a holiday centerpiece as it does for a spontaneous stop. A long standing, family owned Italian Bakery has been a part of many family parties throughout my life, and I'm glad to see they're still surviving. They offer a great variety of cookies, as well as other baked goods like breads, cakes, pies and more. Many of the cookies are sold by the pound, so my father got a couple of mixed boxes for our family reunion, getting a good mix of styles and flavors. The staff was very friendly, and patient as we filled the box. They took care to put heavier items on the bottom, as to not ruin the softer items, and were happy to make suggestions and recommendations. I, too, have a child with Autism, so I had empathy as long as I'm could. His daughter made sounds (ticks?) that got louder and louder. He didn't go to her or even look at her once. She, at one point, shook her hair repeatedly. Still nothing. By this point, dad was in another part of the store and on the phone. My meal was ruined... I went up to the man and asked him to please pay attention to his daughter. The owner glared at me, and the father yelled at me. I will never go back there. Ever.
