I managed to grab a lemon raspberry scone for the drive home, and I think it's my favorite scone now. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and exactly what you want from a great scone. Between the quality, the setting, and the variety, this is the kind of place that works just as well for a holiday centerpiece as it does for a spontaneous stop. I'm glad it's not closer to home though--it would be very hard to achieve my desired weight goals it if were. Just be sure to go early if you want the best selection of ready to eat goods.

A long standing, family owned Italian Bakery has been a part of many family parties throughout my life, and I'm glad to see they're still surviving. They offer a great variety of cookies, as well as other baked goods like breads, cakes, pies and more. Many of the cookies are sold by the pound, so my father got a couple of mixed boxes for our family reunion, getting a good mix of styles and flavors. The staff was very friendly, and patient as we filled the box. They took care to put heavier items on the bottom, as to not ruin the softer items, and were happy to make suggestions and recommendations.
