I'm not an HVAC specialist but I do know enough to know that it doesn't take 3 weeks to get a small common sized pipe in their possession to do a minimal repair. So much for this company being right down the street... Fast forward to January 2025 and it's been COLD! I call to verify that I'm still under warranty and how quickly can they come out because I have NO HEAT. This was on a Wednesday morning... the soonest they could come out was two days later on Friday afternoon. Bob showed up and was nice enough. He diagnosed the system right away and found that the furnace was not getting any propane to the burners. He would order the part's and call me back from the office to inform me on their availability and when I could expect him to return to complete the repair. Not only did he not call back, when I spoke to Jennifer in the office she informed me that it would be the following Tuesday AT BEST before they would get the necessary parts and she could pencil me in for service on the follow Wednesday morning if I would like. IF I WOULD LIKE???!!! A WHOLE WEEK WITHOUT HEAT!! Thank the heavens for wood stoves and electric oil heaters!! We had a minor problem in that the fan would not turn off after the heating cycle was completed. We called Girard Heating and the owner came out and took a look. He said that the part we needed might be no longer made, but nevertheless he would try to find a solution. A few weeks went by and we finally made contact. He came over and managed to find a work-around which brought our old gal up to top operating condition once again. Throughout all of this process did he in no way pressure us to purchase a new furnace (which we probably will do in time). Instead, he said, "It works fine so wait until it dies." We were grateful to hear this, for we are in the process of upgrading our old home and the timing of purchasing a new furnace would have put a severe strain on our budget. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My neighbor recommended Dave Ritchie to me a few years ago…read morewhen I was converting my boiler's oil burner to a gas burner. Since then, Dave has helped me install a gas line for a gas fireplace insert, and has completely replumbed my master bathroom during a renovation. I cannot say enough positive things about Dave! He's responsive, caring, thoughtful, and extremely skilled (he's a master plumber). His work is indeed impeccable. There's no feeling like the comfort that comes with knowing your plumber knows their stuff and never does shoddy work. He has solved problems I didn't think could be solved. He's bailed me out of a couple of emergency plumbing situations (such as when my contractor ran screws through a water line twice). Dave never leaves a mess behind. march 28, 2026 -- buyer beware!!! alpine heat pumps does not stand behind the products they sell…read more 18 months after purchase, major components failure of the compressor and inverter pcb board. best they could do was, we could get out there in maybe 2 weeks, why don't you try calling.....maybe they can help. alpine's representative had the nerve after it was diagnosed by another company as a known c464 failure problem with samsung to say, "well every now and then you get a bad one, but the parts are covered!" 18 months and a major failure, and we're supposed to come up with another $1,500 to $2,000 for labor and freon. so, they don't service what they sell, moreover, don't stand behind the product they recommended. not to mention that as part of mass save had to have our furnace disconnected and we are stll without heat (april 7) in half the house...tonights low expected to be 25 degrees! going on a week and half of 50% heat, not expected to maybe be repaired on the 14th. they were responsive in taking my $28,000 for the system, and now they will not respond! poor customer service! they take your money and move on! shop elsewhere, and go with company that actually services what they sell and stands behind the products they sell. oh, and they no longer sell samsung....no suprise. only 1 star, because can't give zero.

Additionally Jason(Alpine) charged me for four(4) mini-splits and I only recieved three(3) and one(1) condenser.
