The owner loaned to me a space heater until the job was complete. I only have one request from the company to use drop cloths as not to make a mess on their future projects. The owner, Chris was in touch with me from beginning to end of the project. I appreciated that very much. The two technicians that came over to the house were very polite and helpful. I'm not an HVAC specialist but I do know enough to know that it doesn't take 3 weeks to get a small common sized pipe in their possession to do a minimal repair. MAN was I in for a ride. 6 months after they installed a brand new system I receive a notice that while my equipment will be covered under warranty, they will not offer any maintenance / service because they have made the decision to service only Mitsubishi Heat Pumps. So much for this company being right down the street... Fast forward to January 2025 and it's been COLD! I call to verify that I'm still under warranty and how quickly can they come out because I have NO HEAT. This was on a Wednesday morning... the soonest they could come out was two days later on Friday afternoon. Bob showed up and was nice enough. He diagnosed the system right away and found that the furnace was not getting any propane to the burners. He would order the part's and call me back from the office to inform me on their availability and when I could expect him to return to complete the repair. Not only did he not call back, when I spoke to Jennifer in the office she informed me that it would be the following Tuesday AT BEST before they would get the necessary parts and she could pencil me in for service on the follow Wednesday morning if I would like. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My neighbor recommended Dave Ritchie to me a few years ago…read morewhen I was converting my boiler's oil burner to a gas burner. Since then, Dave has helped me install a gas line for a gas fireplace insert, and has completely replumbed my master bathroom during a renovation. I cannot say enough positive things about Dave! He's responsive, caring, thoughtful, and extremely skilled (he's a master plumber). His work is indeed impeccable. There's no feeling like the comfort that comes with knowing your plumber knows their stuff and never does shoddy work. He has solved problems I didn't think could be solved. He's bailed me out of a couple of emergency plumbing situations (such as when my contractor ran screws through a water line twice). Dave never leaves a mess behind. march 28, 2026 -- buyer beware!!! alpine heat pumps does not stand behind the products they sell…read more 18 months after purchase, major components failure of the compressor and inverter pcb board. best they could do was, we could get out there in maybe 2 weeks, why don't you try calling.....maybe they can help. alpine's representative had the nerve after it was diagnosed by another company as a known c464 failure problem with samsung to say, "well every now and then you get a bad one, but the parts are covered!" 18 months and a major failure, and we're supposed to come up with another $1,500 to $2,000 for labor and freon. so, they don't service what they sell, moreover, don't stand behind the product they recommended. not to mention that as part of mass save had to have our furnace disconnected and we are stll without heat (april 7) in half the house...tonights low expected to be 25 degrees! going on a week and half of 50% heat, not expected to maybe be repaired on the 14th. they were responsive in taking my $28,000 for the system, and now they will not respond! poor customer service! they take your money and move on! shop elsewhere, and go with company that actually services what they sell and stands behind the products they sell. oh, and they no longer sell samsung....no suprise. only 1 star, because can't give zero.

He (jason) never took out a permit through the City of Worcester. I was notified by city inspector in December 2024. Additionally Jason(Alpine) charged me for four(4) mini-splits and I only recieved three(3) and one(1) condenser. Jason came to my home and I complained to him about mini-splits turn on in the off position. He(jason) stated he would put in a work request ASAP. Had a scare last night with the carbon monoxide detectors going off. We had Columbia Gas come out…read moreand they said it was probably the boiler or some sort of venting issue. We left for the night and called Baystate Comfort this morning (between 7am- 8am). James was at our home between 8:30-9am!! He was able to repair the issue, but warned us that our furnace is on borrowed time. He was very knowledgeable while explaining the process of a replacement and how it would benefit our home. He also was patient answering all of our questions about other options (routine maintenance, duct tape, prayers, etc :). In the end, he will be sending us a quote for a new furnace and hot water heater in one system, and we are working on setting up a game to pay for it. Thank you, James, for making us feel as ease with the no more carbon monoxide and moving forward with a new system!
