I just purchase a home in Springfield, the gas mete had been shut off and locked out. This requires a tech to come out and turn it on, but the bad part is that YOU have to be there! First the soonest appt was six days from when I called. It is winter time so that seems like pretty poor service. Second, the appt window is from 8am to 12 midnight. I have never heard of any company having such a large window for service. Can you imagine having someone turning on your gas and going through your house at 11 pm or later lighting pilot lights? Third, the say they will call 39 minutes prior to you appt so you can leave work or whatever else you are doing to be there. The only problem is that the person typed my phone number down wrong in the computer so the tech can't get a hold of me. Honest mistake, right? Maybe, but when I call at 5:00 that day to see if they could still send someone out (remember my original window was until 12 midnight), of course they can't. Then I ask to speak to a supervisor, and the person says sure, I'll have one call you back. Then I don't get a call until the next day. This company is a Joke!

Better safe than sorry. I repaired what they wanted me to and after a crap load of money (that was unnecessary) I called BSG to please come back and turn on the gas and relight the pilot in my furnace ... NOPE. screw you, you are on your own. Even though THEY shut it off for a BS excessive reason, I have to pay ANOTHER guy to come out and relight it. It would take them 3 minutes. It will cost me about $125 more to have this done.

We dealt with service technician "Art" and found him to be competent, flexible and pleasant, coming right over on a sunday evening to help us with a small problem. He really went out of his way to help us and was genuinely concerned, a top notch kind of guy. Highly recommended and will most certainly use them again for our future oil and service needs.

Replaces a whole thing on a pole, got up hooked up to that pole again, all was cool. But like, that a thing that was interrupting our WiFi service, our power was fine in the house, but they came right over, more than once, to make sure we had what we needed and also make sure it didn't become a big scary problem for us, as far as power goes. Plus, whenever there's a storm with outages, they are amazing about keeping their customers informed, so I always know they know where the problems are, and they regularly post updates, so if you're without power you know they're on it, and they honestly talk about time frames so you can keep your hopes and expectations realistic and it's so terribly comforting.

I've dealt with KCWA over the past five years in a variety of capacities, including paying a…read morelandlord's water bill while renting a house in Coventry; paying a water bill and having a water meter repaired as a homeowner in West Warwick; and as a plumber who often called them to have water turned off and on to several houses so I could do repairs. Always, they have been very professional and provided excellent service, from the office staff to the guys working in the field. Their bills are easy to read, and when I bought my house and had to take over the water bill from the prior owner, I went to their office and was able to do the transfer smoothly. Once, there was an issue with my water meter (they couldn't get remote readings), so I had to make an appointment for a serviceman to come out and repair my meter. He was on time and made the repair quickly, and I've had no issues since then. They've been a pleasure to work with in my job, also. If I have a customer whose main water shutoff valve at the water meter doesn't work, due to old age and/or corrosion, I call KCWA to send someone out to my customer's house to shut the water off at the sidewalk, so I can then replace the main shutoff valve inside the customer's house. They come when they're scheduled, and will wait while I replace the valve inside, so they can turn the water back on right away, all in one trip, so the customer is not without water for very long. Their guys in the field were awesome and I got to know them by name, I dealt with them so often. I usually mail my water bills, but I believe you can now pay your bill online. My only complaint is that there is no convenient place to park if you go to their office on Main Street, but this complaint is minor enough that it doesn't lower my 5-star rating.
