I hired this company to clear a clog in my main drain line. The pipe was knowingly backed up, and despite this, the plumber fully opened the cleanout port anyway, releasing raw sewage all over my finished basement. This wasn't an accident or an unforeseeable issue, it was a basic, avoidable mistake that any competent plumber knows not to make. The result was sewage flooding my basement, ruining flooring and walls, creating a serious health hazard. Never mind the "waste" splatter in my bathroom as well. The most shocking part was the response. After causing the damage, the plumber left quickly and told me to "call a cleanup contractor," taking no responsibility whatsoever for the destruction he caused. No attempt to mitigate the damage. No ownership. No professionalism. This was pure negligence followed by abandonment. I trusted this company in my home and was left with thousands of dollars in damage and stress because of their incompetence. If you care at all about your home, do not hire this company. One reckless decision turned a simple service call into a disaster, and they made it clear they have no intention of standing behind their work. Buyer beware. This company will price gouge and try to sell you repairs you don't even need. I paid approximately $366 for a diagnostic visit and was told my well pump and pressure tank needed to be replaced at a cost of nearly $6,000. I was told the system was old and the pump was overheating. Thankfully, I trusted my instincts and got a second opinion. Another company came out and correctly identified the issue as an electrical problem, not the pump or tank and had my water restored within two hours. This means I was almost pushed into a completely unnecessary $6,000 repair for something that wasn't even broken. What made this situation even worse was my interaction with their manager, Kia. Instead of focusing on resolving the issue, he chose to correct my pronunciation of the company's name and made a point to highlight my Spanish accent. When I told him his behavior felt discriminatory, he doubled down and continued correcting how I was speaking. That is completely unacceptable, especially from someone in a management position. No customer should feel disrespected or judged over how they speak while trying to resolve a serious issue. To be fair, after I requested to speak with his supervisor, Scott contacted me. He listened, apologized, and said he would review the conversation and address it internally. He also refunded my money, including the membership fee. While I appreciate Scott doing the right thing, the overall experience including the misdiagnosis, the unnecessary $6,000 quote, and the disrespectful interaction, has completely destroyed my trust in this company. In my opinion, the membership program offers no real value. I will not be doing business with Aiello again, and I will be telling my friends and family to stay away. Do not use this company. They lack experience and knowledge while displaying poor time management and very poor customer service. My brother has not been able to run his heat or water in weeks. A pipe burst and they sent out a technician who did not seem experienced or knowledgeable. He was supposed to come back on Friday to fix the pipes so my brother left work early. They did not come and said they had to reschedule for Monday. Monday came around and they said the technician would be there after 12pm. My brother called for updates twice. Both times they said they would reach out to the technician for an update. They finally got back to him at 5pm and said a technician would be out within an hour. My experience with Aiello has been nothing short of a nightmare. The furnace installation they completed was not only done incorrectly--it was done so poorly that it led to standing water and significant water damage before we even realized what was happening. By the time we caught it, the damage was already done. To make matters worse, this disaster completely ruined my wife's birthday party that we had planned in our home. Instead of celebrating, we were scrambling to contain water, move furniture, and assess the damage caused by Aiello's careless workmanship. No homeowner should ever have to deal with something like this, especially due to a company that claims to be "professional." When another Aiello employee finally came out, he was shocked at how shoddy the original installation was. He openly acknowledged that the previous crew's work was unacceptable and far below standard. If your own technicians can't believe the incompetence of their coworkers, that's a massive red flag about your training, oversight, and overall quality control. Although the furnace was eventually repaired, that doesn't erase the stress, the water damage, the disruption to our home, or the ruined celebration. Initial furnace was defective from the manufacturer, after replacing parts(no cost to me) they ended up replacing the whole unit for a different one. We found a reputable local licensed Plumber that did the entire job for $500.00 total. $400.00 for the cracked pipe & 100.00 for the faucet The parts to replace the outdoor faucet were $12.99 that's $887.01 for a 1/2 hour labor that Aiello's wanted!!! Don't hire them. They are careless and don't install their products well. 1. They installed our boiler and didn't properly vent it. It was leaking carbon monoxide into our house for days. Luckily, we noticed before something fatal happened. 2. After giving them a second chance, they then improperly installed two mini splits and took 3 days and still couldn't figure out why they kept shorting out. My husband figured it out and told them. Dustin came to our home to work on an issue with fractured water heater, Heater is 4 yrs old on 10 yr warranty. Another company we called would NOT honor warranty cuz they said town water was at 94psi, too high, Dustin indicated tank says can take up to 150psi. Was here over three hours calling service warranty and Aiello personnel; bottom line, warranty was fully honored, tank replaced saving us thousands of dollars. This company was AWESOME. My hot water heater was opening down the back seem. The heater was from 1996. Thank God it lasted as long as it did. Well on July 1st, 2022 what happened? Went to basement and saw water. Thank God I did not go away for the 4th of July weekend. I asked 3 different people for their top 3 references. Each list Aiello was on it. I called Aiello and the process was FLAWLESS. Keep in mind it was a Friday, July 4th weekend when all of this happened. From the time I placed the call on Friday morning (10:00 a.m.) to (Christine) at Aiello by Friday 1:30 p.m. I had two installers (I'm aging well so I don't remember their names) LOL came out to do the work. The installers had everything replaced and new hot water heater install in an hour and a half they even pulled the permit electronically. I had to wait another hour for the water to fill the tank and get hot. Just like magic I was back in business and no flooded basement. The town inspector came out on Monday and gave the install a A++ approval. They said the work was spectacular and I passed the inspection. You pay for Cadillac service and not fly-by-night and you get Cadillac work and service. The old saying holds true that you get what your pay for. Friday:Had a leak from second floor bathroom down into kitchen ceiling. A plumber from Aiello come out in the afternoon and took out part of ceiling. Leak detected coming (according to him) from Bathroom sink and/or toilet. Contract to fix: $14,000-$16,000. Monday: Crew arrived and completed work. Plumber said work going faster so estimate $12,000. BUT, for $14,000 I could get repair of drain all the way to basement (which I did). Plumbers scratched and gouged hardwood floors in areas of work. While I was happy to have leak fixed this was a lot of money. Add insult to injury, they took a permit out and never contacted the town to inspect. I called town and was only told that the inspectors are busy and they did not set up an appointment. I called Aiello and they said a letter is sent telling me to call for inspection (no letter received). Lady from Aiello called town and date is almost 2 weeks out! My dates that were set up to reconstruct my home are now cancelled. This company price gouges and does not fulfill their duties. I would check with other companies and now regret using them. First two are scheduled for free visit to my home to quote my business, neither even asking if I was interested in a standard water heater or state of the art instant hot water technology. Aiello had great online and telephone response process, but wanted $99 for the privilege of earning my business. I rejected their offer to charge me for basically sending a sales guy to peek in my basement and give me a number. What they still don't know is I was also assessing them to see if I wanted to have them quote a complete new HVAC system for my home. They failed without lifting a finger. No water heater business. No HVAC business. No ongoing service income stream. "No nothing." What they did earn was a disgruntled non-customer already sharing my poor experience with friends & family. I am very dissatisfied with the way I was treated by Aiello this past week. I need a toilet unclogged at a condo I own in Hamden. They scheduled an appointment the following day and told me I would receive a call in the AM to schedule a time window. After my tenant took the day off work and I drove to the condo, Aiello called to cancel. Their reasoning was that they do not work in non-residential properties. This is AFTER they confirmed the appointment. I complained and tole them that not only was this a residential unit, they had been there before. Well, they could not reschedule the appointment until the next day, meaning another days with out the use of a toilet, another day of missing work and I made another trip out to the unit. The plumber charged me over $400 to unclog the toilet. It seemed high to me but I gratefully paid it. The toilet had always filled rather slowly, and I asked him if that was a problem and he said yes. Without looking into the tank, he told me I needed a new toilet and quoted a price of $1,000. I told him that at that price I'd do it myself. After I took some time to look in the tank I was able to fix the slow fill in about 5 minutes by adjusting the flapper. I hesitate to write a bad review and I tried to just give my (private) feedback directly to the company on its website. I received NO call, no apology, and no acknowledgement that they received my complaint. They don't seem to care. We paid $100 for a "Precision Air Conditioning System Check" because we foolishly thought it would include routine annual servicing. Our bad for not reading. They came, tested the AC system, gave us a bunch of estimates, and left. This spring we tried to turn on the system and nothing happened. We called a better company and they said the disconnect was in the off position. They turned it on, charged me more money, and left. Only the Aiello tech could have disconnected the power as he was the last person in there. Not sure if it was intentional or accidental. Regardless, we won't ever use Aiello again. On 1/21/25 Rob and his assistant came out to exchange my water pump and perform maintenance on my tankless water heater. The job costs close to $1200. The next day I noticed my hot water stays hot for about 3-5 minutes and called to have someone come back out to see what the issue was. I was told they didn't have anyone available and I would need to wait until the following week to have someone come out. After much back and forth I was put on the "on call" list for Saturday 1/26. Mike and his assistant showed up on Saturday and proceeded to tell me that my water heater which was fine prior to "maintenance " was giving an error code stating the condenser was shot and I needed to replace the entire system. (Strange since I had no issues prior) Mike says he has no idea what Rob did so he couldn't really help me other than to say I needed to replace the unit. He then stated he would get an estimate to me so I could decide if I want to proceed with replacing the unit. That was 12 days ago and as of today 2/7/25 I still have not heard from anyone at this company in regard to a quote for replacing the water heater. This was my first and last time using this business to service my home. unfortunately the "service" is disappointing to say the least. We had a number of plumbing issues - replacing the whole house water filtration system, replace the handle on kitchen sink, and stop the toilet from running occasionally. Aiello said we needed to replace the kitchen faucet, rebuild the inside of the toilet, and replace the the whole house water filtration system. Aiello told me the kitchen faucet was a Kohler. They gave an estimate of $4,000 for everything including parts. I called a local plumber and he said I had a Moen faucet and to call them because they will replace the handle for free. He replaced the flapper in the toilet and it resolved that problem. I bought the new water filtration system and the plumber installed it. The whole job only cost me $200 including parts. On 6/26/24 I received a $22,697 proposal from Aiello to install a new second floor air conditioning system in my house. The proposal called for the installation of a "Mitsubishi 4-Ton Hyper-heating Multi-Zone Heat Pump" and related handlers. The model numbers and related AHRI certificate numbers were clearly specified. I accepted the offer and executed a Sales Agreement specifying the same AHRI number on 7/1/24. Although most of the work was done on 7/19, several small jobs were not completed until 11/1 after multiple emails, texts, phone calls, and no-shows. I finally received an invoice on 11/21 (dated 7/19) which specified the AHRI number and model numbers as specified in the proposal. Unfortunately, my application for the Energize CT rebate (a major item in the sales pitch) continually bounced because the model numbers of the equipment actually installed were not consistent with the AHRI numbers and model numbers in the Aiello documentation. I discovered that Aiello had actually installed a different, inferior heat pump without the hyper-heating feature, which was meant to lower energy usage and eliminate the need for summer air conditioning. I brought this to Aiello's attention many times, but they have not been willing to provide the documents I need to receive the $3,000 CT credit, and this may also affect my federal tax credit. During the course of the installation, Aiello, for some unknown reason, also ripped out my three-year-old, perfectly functioning first floor air conditioner. By the time that I found out about this, they had installed a replacement without ever explaining whether or not it was actually equivalent to the property they destroyed. This foul-up may be due to simple incompetence, or it may be an intentional misrepresentation in the course of a "bait and switch" operation. Aiello's sluggish, grudging unwillingness to handle this situation has led me to ask for a substantial refund. These are dangerous people to deal with. read more

DON'T USE AIELLO!!! Aiello doesn't honor their appointments. I scheduled a routine furnace checkup in mid-October and took the day off of work. I was called the day before and told they need to reschedule me for December. I waited almost two months and take another day off of work, only to have them call me the day before and reschedule me yet again, this time for an appointment maybe January. Aiello would not promise me that I wouldn't be rescheduled again in the future. Their reasoning as it was explained to me: "We need to keep our schedule open for emergencies and customers without heat. We make more money off desperate customers without heat. Routine furnace checkups are a loss for the company. We don't value the time and business of our loyal customers, unless they're despite, in which case we can price gouge them. " Worst company ever! Then I found out recently that a computer stored in my basement where only I go has disappeared. It was relocated prior to the install and now it is gone with the docking station. I reported to the sales rep and no one followed up. now that I am reassembling my workstation during the winter and realizing it never did turn up after a complete relayout of the room. Bill was $1,299.00 I was advised beforehand what the charge would be so i had to approve for them to order the parts. with predefined pricing I guess some customers are winners and others are not. $1,950 an hour seems a bit steep Quality of work was fine, pricing seems high.
