"Look behind the cloths, behind the chair Lookin' for them…read moreReds everywhere I looked way up my chimney hole Even looked deep inside my toilet bowl" (Bob Dylan) Let's be real, toilets are a fairly important part of modern life- wouldn't you agree? And if one (to put things delicately) isn't quite up to the task when you hit the flush lever, and the other seems to have a mind of its own and runs continuously when it wants to, it's time to head over to your local plumbing and heating store to do something about it. Which explains why we headed over to Avon Plumbing and Heating to chat with Showroom Consultant Margo who was super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and was a real pleasure to work with. We ordered a full replacement for toilet #1 and a "guts replacement" and a new seat (the old one had cracked) for toilet #2. A few days later, the job was done, and I want to also give a shout out to Office Manager Cam and Andy, the plumber who handled all of the work at our house. Everything looks and works great, and we had a very nice first party consumer experience with Avon. By the way, their showroom is amazing!

Called Avon Plumbing, Peter, the plumber came out, very gray older man, late fifties or early sixties. Peter couldn't identify the existing faucet, so he didn't know if he had any replacement parts. So he choose to replace the kitchen faucet with the Costco replacement. The shutoff valves were seized with hard water deposits & he couldn't free it up, so he replaced these two valves. Peter then replaced the kitchen faucet. Peter, worked fast, was very knowledgeable & experienced. (that's why I stated his age) The final bill was $361.71 for parts & labor. Peter was here for 1.5 hours. Avon Plumbing was pricy, but worked quickly & did good work.

Steve and his company installed our mini-splits in my house over a year ago in December/January…read more24/25. We paid $20,000 for two units. They worked fabulously for the first 8 months- we live in a Cape Cod built in the 50s with no heating devices upstairs. The bedrooms were warm and cozy in the winter, and cool in the summer. And they were so quiet! However, since installation, Ash has been flaking and ghosting me on appointments! So the background is that our mini-splits started pumping out cold air in mid-November '25. So I called for a service request, they came out, fixed it, and it only worked for a few days. I called for another service request a few weeks before Christmas, and I was told that someone would be at my house on a Friday - and no one came out, or called me to let me know they weren't. The next day I called, and they said they would come out that day [Saturday]. Their van broke down and they weren't able to come out, so Steve said he would come to my house the following day. He basically ghosted me all day until 6pm; he was out of state, and he nonchalantly replies "I was going to [come out to you] but the boiler [at my in-laws' house] had other plans for me lol." So he tells me that he would be at my house the next day, and he was and he did temporarily fix the mini-splits. He also told me that he would text me every day for a couple of weeks to make sure it was still working - and he didn't. The mini-splits broke down again. So one of his techs comes out to service it, it doesn't get fixed, and they said they "made an appointment" for April 1st. April 1st comes by, and no one has called or texted me about my service appointment. I tried to be nice and patient and give them a little time, so I wait until April 7th to text Steve, and I get ghosted again. So I call the business last week. He sounded like he understood my frustration, and said after he hung up with me, that he'll text me an appointment date. He doesn't. So I call the next day, and then he tells me we would have an appointment today on the 21st at 930 - and he doesn't show, and he ghosts me through text, and when I call the business, I get an AI voice mail instead of speaking to an actual person. So I now I have $20,000 mini splits in my house that don't work and I need to find a new HVAC company. It takes a lot for me to even leave a 1 star review, let alone a 1 star and an actual written review. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt over and over again, but since they're ignoring me, I don't really have any other choice.
