The sun was shining so beautiful had to share this beautiful picture sitting outside,
Evee C.

Enjoyed the wine tasting and a bottle o do the white with my friend while sitting outside, listening to some live music, we enjoyed being able to pick out a basket of some salami, some cheese, some crackers to which you can add what you want in the basket that they provide for you. It's really cute the lady there was really nice. Told us a little bit about the winery, it was a nice beautiful sunny day. They have a cute little set up out there overlooking the vineyard I bought a wine glass. I'd love to have my wine glasses. A souvenirs being as this was the first time I've been here.

My husband and I purchased wine trail passes for our anniversary four months ago. We've enjoyed visiting various wineries on the Santa Clara Wine Trail over the summer, and Solis Winery is one of our favorites so far! WINES: I typically prefer white wines, and my husband prefers reds, but we both enjoyed all 6 of the wines we tasted. Our favorite was the estate Syrah (double gold) and we purchased a bottle to share. AMBIANCE: So relaxing! We soaked in the views of the hills and vineyards from the dog-friendly patio while listening to live music. Their website has a calendar of events that lists the food trucks/musicians that are scheduled for each Saturday and Sunday. SERVICE: We decided to check this place out on a whim and had no problem being seated without a reservation. The staff poured the tastings indoors at the bar, but we opted to walk back and forth from the patio in between each pour to enjoy the warm weather outside. I also appreciated that outside food is allowed and the venue can easily accommodate larger groups. Would definitely return!

Sunny day calls for rosé

Before leaving Gilroy for the weekend, my husband and I stopped here to check it out. We had a wonderful visit to Solis! The grounds are beautiful and although we missed the live music, the gorgeous views made up for it. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. I just opted for a glass of rosé (which we liked so much that we brought a bottle home) and my husband did a tasting. Good vibes all around and they have great deals for bottle discounts if you decide to do a full tasting.

Beautiful scenery . And great wine they had a dew that were ok but the best of all was the chardonnay. The workers were knowledgeable and friendly. There was also a live band playing some familiar tunes... Great place to relax and have a bottle of wine with the legendary Gilroy sun!!!

Didn't order any food but the wine was AMAZING! We sat out in the back under a gorgeous tree and enjoyed some Chardonnay. The staff was pure joy as soon as we walked in they acknowledged us and made us feel important awesome service.

Staff was discriminative

0/10 NEVER CONE TO THIS WINERY ! Wine was okay after spending 1 hour there the staff told my party of 12 to leave as we didn't purchase enough. They also accused my friend of not old enough and being drunk. They told my friend that she should remove herself from the premises. The staff is judge mental and even racist don't visit this winery.

Backyard feeling of the view, super cute and great location.

Super curate location, very intimate and just the perfect setting for a fun cute wine day.

Love tasting at Solis! They have a lovely indoor tasting room, as well as outdoor seating -- sections for adults only, and seating for families/pets. Alyssa, Megan, and Elaine are extremely attentive and helpful. I appreciate Solis allows you to bring outside food to picnic with, but also offers light bites and food trucks (typically on weekends) for purchase! Solis overlooks the beautiful mountains and is positioned in their vineyard with lots of natural shade from the eucalyptus trees. My favorite varietals (so far!) are the rosé, Sangiovese, and Grenache. Can't wait to come back!

This was my first coming out to Solis. The weather was beautiful. The drive to get here was easy. The wine is reasonably priced. I think we finished 3 bottles of Rose. There is a small shop inside for snacks and trinkets. They offer tastings as well. Call in advance to make sure they have space.

Beautiful winery! Love the bands on the weekend. We became new members and the customer service we have received has been welcoming and very friendly! I recommend joining the wine club

Solis Winery is a solid winery along the Hecker Pass Highway. Great location as there are several other wineries within a 5 minute drive. They offer a bar-style tasting as well as patio tasting; parties can bring their own foods for the patio tasting or opt to buy Foustman's salami and assorted snacks inside the main lounge to enjoy outside. There is a sign that says 21+ only, but there was a family with children on the deck while I was there. Not sure if this is always the case but it didn't bother me. Patio seating is nice and shady, but if you bring snacks watch out for the bees -- they can ruin the experience. Tastings consist of 1 oz each of five wines costing $20 per person, with $10 of that fee going toward a purchase of a bottle. Their Fiano white wine and Rosé were crisp, refreshing, and a bit too light for my taste. I enjoyed their reds, with my favorites being the Zinfandel and the Seducente: fruity, velvety, and wonderfully smooth. The staff was very kind and explained where each wine was grown, so 10/10 for the service. I wish there was a window connecting the serving bar to the patio such that we would not have to walk in and out each time we wanted to taste the next wine. Overall, great service and location. If you don't buy a bottle, the tasting fee is higher than most places. Wines rate an 8/10 and are standard for the region, and I will be back to grab a bottle of the Zinfandel.

The setting and atmosphere are very peaceful and the owner and the staff are super friendly. Stunningly delicious wines from this family-owned and operated winery, in my favorite list are; Roseo, Fiano, and Merlot, and of course, how can I forget the Sangiovese!! also, Tara is a great asset to the winery, pet-friendly and well-trained staff. The attention they put into every release is evident from the look to the nose and the taste. Take your time and enjoy every aspect of the experience. Coming back soon for sure! =)

Beautiful and expanded outdoor tasting area and stage. No children allowed, but you can bring Fido!

I will say, I am usually a sweet wine person and we were told there were no sweet wines at this facility. Nonetheless, we did a wine flight just to try! The wines were very smooth, none were really my taste though. Again, preferring sweet wine this was a bit to adjust to. However, my family who got red wines and actually like red wines loved it! The star of the show for me was actually a peach cider they have! I usually don't like ciders either, but this one was so delicious and refreshing! I wish I had just got a couple of those. Overall, service and everything was great! The man was very knowledgeable and friendly. Noe was an exciting part of the experience. And the cider was so amazing! The staff member behind the bar greeted us with a blank, deadpan stare (otherwise known as a "GenZ Stare") that made the whole interaction feel awkward from the start. When we mentioned it was our first time visiting and that we were excited to be there, there was no warmth, no enthusiasm, and no effort to tell us about the wines or the property. Even the pours seemed careless. I know this is Gilroy and not Napa, but I still expected a welcoming experience and better wine service. Unfortunately, both the service and the wine itself were disappointing. The best part of this place was definitely the beautiful grounds, which would make a gorgeous wedding setting. Maybe this place is better suited as an event venue than a wine tasting destination, but based on my experience, I would not return. The two stars are for the beautiful grounds.

We had our choice of indoor and outdoor seating, and opted for the nice covered outdoor patio. They had a good amount of seating in each area, and had a lot of shade outside, which is absolutely necessary in Gilroy. We were helped by Melissa, and she was great! They had two tasting flights of 4 wines to choose from on our visit, one of which included a white and reds, while the other was all reds. They did also have some extra bottles open, so they were able to make an all white wine flight for one in our party. The pours were a good size, enough to really get a feel for the wine and share a taste with others. Two of us ended up taking home the same bottle of pinot noir.

On out third pour same day- fist day back we were accused of trying to get an extra pour Aaron asked what pour we were on, we didn't have a response because we didn't have the menu, we were accused of getting any extra pour? Not our responsibility to keep track, and if you did an extra pour what is the big deal? The comment made us feel uncomfortable, we stayed and purchased a bottle from their reserved red wine. This Saturday we went with another couple and my granddaughter. All was fine untill our third pour, we paid extra for the reserved tasting and it was a splash not a tasting pour. We discussed if we should say anything at all, and we decided to ask for a decent pour. My husband went in , talked to Aaron, he declined and dismissed us. Aaron said we had a decent pour, even though he was not around to see what was poured?? Typically a winery allows more than the 4 or 5 tasting, how else will you know if you like it enough to purchase a bottle. If a winery treats members that way it's time to end membership, and we did. Staff is like family at S V, we got the cold shoulder once my husband spoke with Aaron. We paid for our tasting, tipped our server. We will not revisit this establishment again. It was a nice place till it wasn't We have too many wineries nearby to allow staff to make you feel a certain way.

When…read moreyou think of wine, you often think of heading to Napa or Paso Robles, but you'll never think that deep in the hills of Gilroy (borderline Morgan Hill), there's this small and beautiful vineyard. I haven't been to Italy but having seen it in movies, this place sure gives you the feels of having traveled that far for a glass of wine. It's a small vineyard with such an intimate and relaxing setting. The owners, Drew and Tiffany, are friendly, chill, and easygoing. Even though we've met them for the first time through a mutual friend, my husband and I felt comfortable talking to them as if we've known them for some time. They're very personable and well versed with their wines, and I love the stories behind some of the names for their wines. You'll also be greeted by their sweet and gentle black lab, Bear, who walks around saying hi to the guests. My husband and I both did the Estate Reds tasting as we love reds, especially Cabernets. I'm not a wine connoisseur at all, but I do like to enjoy a glass of wine here and there. The reds were delish, though I enjoyed The House (light) and Vino Nona (deep and bold) best. However, given another couple of years, I think Vino Nona would have an exceptional taste. And oh, you must try the Frozé (Frozen Rosé) or that I hope you get the chance as I heard they do run out of it fast. Such a yummy adult icee that is so refreshing with a good taste of the Rosé wine. I have 2 young boys, so I always love places that are kid and family friendly! This place is big enough for the boys to run and explore with areas for pictures and games. There's also a cute swing for anyone needing that nice picture to post. And one more thing, the portable bathroom is amazing! I'm never a fan of portable bathrooms, but this one is not a bit scary at all. It kinda reminds me of the bathroom on the airplanes but much nicer. Great escape for a few hours to enjoy with your significant other and/or with friends. Definitely nice place for small events. P.s.
