Such a cute winery! The grounds are very nice and have a bit of a rustic vibe to it. The outdoor area is nicely decorated with plants all around. They have few games out there to play. We arrived a bit early and they allowed us to sit outside and even started pouring for us before they opened. Super nice of them! The wines were really good. I really liked the white wine. They have a stone fire pizza oven and sometimes have pizza days which is pretty nice. The service was good and they were very friendly and even pointed us to few other wineries in the area. I would go back....hopefully when weather gets warmer because it was unusually cold...sun came out as we were leaving.

I have yet to try a wine I don't like! Great ambiance & everyone is so friendly. Can't wait for the pizza oven so I can review that!

There was Pepper, a dog that roans around. The owner said it takes him awhile to warm up to people, but he kept me pet him. The spicy Pinot Noir was worth trying. Their Chardonnay was too buttery for me. I liked their blend. The outdoor atmosphere was great, but at first you are not sure you are ar the right place because it looks like a home.

We made a reservation for a Sunday afternoon. There was free seating and lots of spaced out tables with umbrellas. A little bit off the beaten path and the winemakers home is in the front, but it is a very nice and large backyard. Very pretty and scenic. They were not doing tastings, only wine by the bottle or glass and so we got a bottle of the Rosé. The wine itself was quite good. Perfect for a warm summer afternoon. We also had the pleasure of meeting the wine maker who was chatting with the guest. Nice family feel. Definitely would recommend!

We love this place since my husband found it. Great family feel beautiful location and the wine is delicious. Also a plus you can buy direct from them supporting farm and their family. Can't wait to go back.

Great wine! The wine maker is usually around to tell you all about the wine. Lots of outdoor seating and they allow you to bring in a picnic. I didn't bring my kids this time, but will next time as there was a nice area for them to run around.

Such a great experience! The location is gorgeous, and wish I had captured a picture of their sign. Plenty of seating around the building. Dog friendly! Huge fan of their selections of wine. Their Rose had a wonderful dry and subtly sweet taste, Chardonnay was smooth, and their reds were a huge hit! Hope to be back soon to visit. Such a relaxing time with great, friendly service.

This is some of the best wines around!

I absolutely love this place! Their wines are fantastic! Who needs Napa when you have Calerrain!

This little slice of heaven hits all the marks of what makes a great winery--- knowledgeable and passionate-about-wine wine maker, gorgeous scenery, and delicious wine. Geoff genuinely loves the art of wine making and is eager to share that excited passion with you during your tasting. You felt like you were family, coming home to share some laughs over a glass of wine. The scenery is beautiful and immensely peaceful. I love the fresh flowers on the tables outside. It is the perfect spot for a picnic and enjoying the delicious wine. The wine itself is bold, multiple layers of flavor and smooth finishes. The 2018 Paicines Chardonnay is to die for! Take any preconceived notion about an oaky Chard and throw it out the window when drinking this gem. The 2017 Santa Clara Valley Cab Sauv is decadent and smooth. We couldn't join their wine club fast enough! Excited for their many events and ever changing tasting menu. Love, love, love Calerrain!!

We had our choice of indoor and outdoor seating, and opted for the nice covered outdoor patio. They had a good amount of seating in each area, and had a lot of shade outside, which is absolutely necessary in Gilroy. The patio and grass area was very pretty, filled with lots of plants and even a sculpture. The property is also next to a plant nursery, so that added to the beauty even beyond their property line. We were helped by Melissa, and she was great! They had two tasting flights of 4 wines to choose from on our visit, one of which included a white and reds, while the other was all reds. They did also have some extra bottles open, so they were able to make an all white wine flight for one in our party. The pours were a good size, enough to really get a feel for the wine and share a taste with others. Two of us ended up taking home the same bottle of pinot noir.

I started my membership back, thought we'd utilize the wine tasting. First time back in over 6 months they did not bring us a menu, did not tell us what we were tasting and that was not a good feeling. On out third pour same day- fist day back we were accused of trying to get an extra pour Aaron asked what pour we were on, we didn't have a response because we didn't have the menu, we were accused of getting any extra pour? Not our responsibility to keep track, and if you did an extra pour what is the big deal? The comment made us feel uncomfortable, we stayed and purchased a bottle from their reserved red wine. This Saturday we went with another couple and my granddaughter. All was fine untill our third pour, we paid extra for the reserved tasting and it was a splash not a tasting pour. We discussed if we should say anything at all, and we decided to ask for a decent pour. My husband went in , talked to Aaron, he declined and dismissed us. Aaron said we had a decent pour, even though he was not around to see what was poured?? Typically a winery allows more than the 4 or 5 tasting, how else will you know if you like it enough to purchase a bottle. If a winery treats members that way it's time to end membership, and we did. Staff is like family at S V, we got the cold shoulder once my husband spoke with Aaron. We paid for our tasting, tipped our server. We will not revisit this establishment again. It was a nice place till it wasn't We have too many wineries nearby to allow staff to make you feel a certain way.

The star of the show for me was actually a peach cider they have! I usually don't like ciders either, but this one was so delicious and refreshing! I wish I had just got a couple of those. When we mentioned it was our first time visiting and that we were excited to be there, there was no warmth, no enthusiasm, and no effort to tell us about the wines or the property. Even the pours seemed careless. I know this is Gilroy and not Napa, but I still expected a welcoming experience and better wine service. Unfortunately, both the service and the wine itself were disappointing. The best part of this place was definitely the beautiful grounds, which would make a gorgeous wedding setting. Maybe this place is better suited as an event venue than a wine tasting destination, but based on my experience, I would not return. The two stars are for the beautiful grounds.

I haven't been to Italy but having seen it in movies, this place sure gives you the feels of having traveled that far for a glass of wine. It's a small vineyard with such an intimate and relaxing setting. The owners, Drew and Tiffany, are friendly, chill, and easygoing. Even though we've met them for the first time through a mutual friend, my husband and I felt comfortable talking to them as if we've known them for some time. They're very personable and well versed with their wines, and I love the stories behind some of the names for their wines. You'll also be greeted by their sweet and gentle black lab, Bear, who walks around saying hi to the guests. My husband and I both did the Estate Reds tasting as we love reds, especially Cabernets. I'm not a wine connoisseur at all, but I do like to enjoy a glass of wine here and there. The reds were delish, though I enjoyed The House (light) and Vino Nona (deep and bold) best. However, given another couple of years, I think Vino Nona would have an exceptional taste. And oh, you must try the Frozé (Frozen Rosé) or that I hope you get the chance as I heard they do run out of it fast. Such a yummy adult icee that is so refreshing with a good taste of the Rosé wine. I have 2 young boys, so I always love places that are kid and family friendly! This place is big enough for the boys to run and explore with areas for pictures and games. There's also a cute swing for anyone needing that nice picture to post. And one more thing, the portable bathroom is amazing! I'm never a fan of portable bathrooms, but this one is not a bit scary at all. It kinda reminds me of the bathroom on the airplanes but much nicer. Great escape for a few hours to enjoy with your significant other and/or with friends. Definitely nice place for small events. P.s.
