Wow what a great find, thanks to yelp! We spent a Saturday afternoon here. We tried the traditional flight and the zin flight- both were good. We also ordered a bottle of one of the zins. We also ordered a variety of fresh pizzas which were excellent! Overall the ambience is lovely with live music, kids can walk around, sit on tractors and play with the dogs. Our group of 12 came here on a Sunday afternoon and had an absolutely wonderful time! We met the owner Sandy and she was so friendly and told us about the history of the winery. They focus on red wines so we tried the regular red flights and Zinfandel flights, which were tasty. They also sell Sangria carafes, which was really great and refreshing. They don't sell food but you are welcome to bring your own food and snacks. There's also lots of dogs roaming and there was live music when we went. If I could give more stars, I totally would. I was on the market for some place that was chill to host my birthday for an intimate group of loved ones. As I was thinking I remembered passing this winery a few times and always making a mental note to look it up. The bright colors are so inviting and already sets a precedence from outside. Naturally, I jumped on here to look at photos and reviews. This prompted me to reach out and see if there was availability for my party size and date. Sure enough they could accommodate my party. I went back and forth with the owner, Sandy. Whom always responded quickly and explained everything in great detail. There is plenty of parking right outside the venue. Various red and white wines to taste but what had me sold was that they also offered a house sangria. Score! The place is spacious. We were given a nice area that was solely for our party. There was a band. There was someone on site preparing made to order oven pizza and the kicker....resident senior fur babies roaming about. Don't wanna just chill and listen to music? A very fun wine tasting experience. Satori is located between gilroy and San Martin, nestled in sprawling fields. (There's no shade.) Children are allowed...and it might be dog friendly. We went in February on a crisp spring day, the fields were full of bright yellow mustard. We really enjoyed their selection of reds. Bring a picnic basket and buy a bottle. read more

I hesitate in writing this review because I secretly want to keep Satori a secret. It is truly a hidden gem. The vibe here is everything. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, there are colorful picnic tables, and tie dye hippie vibes are in all the right places. All of their wine tasting is outdoors and this place is extremely dog friendly. It is kid-tolerant since it's an outdoor setting and they have bocce ball. I went to pick grapes. Satori provides gloves, cutting tools coffee and a drink cart in the vines to keep volunteers happy and refreshed. After picking for four hours we sat down to a awesome meal. Satori even give us a choice of a bottle of wine to take home for our efforts. read more

This is a very colorful winery indeed. They are open 1st and 3rd weekend of the month. We had reservations for Saturday at 3pm but they didn't ask if we had reservations and still seated us. Later, we saw a table that was reserved for us across from our table so we took the name tag and put it on our table. Plenty of outdoors tables for walk ins. $15 classic tastings for A Red or Zin flight. We chose both of the tastings to try their wines out. Wines were pretty good. Most of the wines were bold and flavorful. You also get to choose a chardonnay or prosecco before you start the tasting. The standout was the Zin flights that were actually pretty good. And we don't even prefer Zins. We liked the Chardonnay wine too. The Prosecco was kind of sweet to me. The Merlot and Cab Sauv were decent too. The Syrah and Petite Sirah were kind of tannic for me but had good flavors. They even give you a free cup of goldfish crackers. You can also picnic here.There's only 1 restroom, which is the con of this place...We waited a long time for the restroom like 15 mins. There was a constant line. They also had quite a lot of winery dogs here. They had live music here and they sang some popular songs. There's also boccee ball, mimosas, home-made special-recipe sangria (seasonal). Parking is on the street. It is located kind of across the street from Verde Vineyards. Both have good wines so definitely check them both out. Pours aren't stingy. We came from Lion Ranch before visiting here and the pours there were stingy as f and wines were so light, lacking flavor. read more

Super cute winery! Friends and I stopped by after the garlic festival and it was a nice change from the crazy business of the festival. The entire tasting area seemed to be outdoors, which I don't mind. They had plenty of shade and water available. I really liked the fact that you sit near the vines and can go look at them yourself. As a dog person, the fact that they had the vineyard owner's dogs roaming made it infinitely better :) As for the price, it was $10 for 7 Tastes - maybe they changed prices for the garlic festival, but either way $10 is not bad at all for 7 tastes. The winery is located inland off of a lettuce patch road with not too many wineries located in the immediate vicinity. You definitely see the chill hippie vibe though walking up with the colorful seating area and Jimmy Buffet looking tasting area. On my visit, even on a cold day, they were busy and I was helped by two servers including one named Aquarius! Awesome :) There were several dogs lying around just begging to be petted and a ery good curry soup in a crock pot being served gratis (plus some outstanding chocolate truffles too). Without communicating, both servers knew exactly where I was at in the multi-wine tasting. Must by Hippie-telepathy! The wines were good to outstanding with my two favorites being the Harmonic Convergence blend ($30) and the Zen-Zin ($28.00). I also ordered two bottles of the stainless steel Monterey Chardonnay ($19.00). The reds were very fruit forward but with a nice balance and structure. Plus everyone, including the customers (I struck up a conversation with a cool dude as shaggy haired as the dogs) were so friendly that how could you not enjoy the visit or leave with a smile (especially since my six-pack was given to me in a very nice wine bag). Aside from the GENEROUS pours (my God I'm drunk) the place is crawling with cute doggies! Eight house dogs on the property....We brought my bfs dog along and they all got along fine. If you put 7 vet students together in Gilroy, you're bound to find them at Satori Cellars. We had heard that there were tons of dogs here and rushed over here right before closing (yes, we were THOSE people). We sat down and the owner immediately greeted us. He said they were closing soon so tastings may not be the best option. Instead we opted to get a few glasses of wine to share between all of us. Immediately we walked in and saw 2 black labs, 1 yellow lab, and a wire haired JRT begging people for food. So adorable. This winery is literally a winery for hippies and it is absolutely perfect. The tables are covered in colorful flower patterns, all around you see brightly colored signs, and the owners are very laid back people that mingle with those enjoying wine. Our table agreed that the chardonnay was the best of the wines we tasted. I'm not the biggest red wine fan so definitely didn't taste too much of it. As we were finishing up, we saw their horses, met 4 more of their pack- including their alpha and their alpha to be- and got to chat with the owner as of course, we needed to talk to them about their dogs. All in all, it was an amazing winery and a very friendly environment to walk into. I highly encourage anyone in the area to come enjoy their wine! read more

We cannot give enough stars for our favorite winery in the South Valley! We come for the amazing Zins, but stay (and stay... until they make us leave) for the quaint, dog and family-friendly atmosphere, the gathering of locals who are all too willing to share their picnic with you, and the live music that makes for a wonderful day of wine-tasting. The owners, Tom and Sandy, can be found milling about with their guests or sitting at a colorful picnic table chatting with regulars. Our 10-year-old said it best after his first visit to Satori, "You can't be in a bad mood at this place." We couldn't agree more. read more

Came here on a nice weekend day and when we arrived no one tend to us or acknowledged us. I never leave negetive review but i felt like we were out-casted. We sat ourselves and waited for 15 mins without any ones help. The place wasn't crowded and we sat near the bar area. Being the only people of color at the winery and not being acknowledged, we ended up leaving. Avoid this place if you can. The wine looked good but it felt as if we were not wanted there. read more
