A Great Spot for Pizza, Less So for Wine…read more We came here for a birthday party. The place is nice, and the staff is more than friendly. One heads-up: you can't bring your own drinks, not even water, since they want you to buy theirs. That would be fair if they offered a full selection, but they don't carry sparkling water, which we're big fans of. They serve pizza on weekends, and I have to give a shout-out here: the pizza was great! Crispy crust, good cheese, and a nice hint of garlic. Now for what could be better. At a winery, you'd expect some good wines. Sadly, not here. The white selection was limited to Pinot Grigio. It was a bit watery but pretty good, and unfortunately they ran out of it. This year's Rosé has the sweetness of unfermented grape juice. It's so heavy you can barely drink it without diluting it with water. The red, Cask 140, is the most expensive on the list. I don't think I've ever tasted such a dense red. If you're hoping for nuanced flavors, you won't find them here. Everything is overpowered by prune, and it's very tannic. So of the three wines we tried, two I'd never order again, and the one decent option ran out. Honestly, this place feels more like Fortino Pizzeria than Fortino Winery.

The green pozole was phenomenal!!!! Service was amazing as well, the busser was on top of it. Refilled waters as soon as they were empty, cleared plates as soon as they finished, asked if we wanted more bread. Live band was going to perform later but we left. Would definitely come back!

I was here on a Sunday evening for a volunteer appreciation dinner…read more I got there around 6pm and there was no parking on the street, I had to go down the block and park in a parking lot. The area tends to be a bit dark but I did not feel unsafe. The restaurant itself is on the Main Street and has ample outside and inside seating. Our group was in the back and we had the area to ourselves. There is large bar with 2 TVs playing games. I did not try drinks from the bar because those were provided by the group I was part off but the staff were helpful and attentive. We also did not order from the menu but had a buffet - small pieces of bread, butter, salad, mashed potatoes, pasta with shrimp, skirt steak and chicken. Unfortunately no dessert. The food was good, especially the skirt steak. The reason for the 4 starts is that nothing really stood out in the menu where I wanted to go back. The place was not very crowded, at the bar or tables. Maybe 3-4 tables were filled. The decor was warm and inviting with mostly wood on the walls and bar. The area was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday evening. The restaurant is definitely worth a try!

He went the extra mile to enrich our tasting and I will recommend this winery to all my friends. It's operating under the Cordevalle name and is an absolute must-see if you are staying at the resort or in the vicinity of San Martin. I wish we'd had more time to dine or see a concert there, but will definitely be back and be purchasing more of the excellent wine. Tried this place for the first time on a Friday night. The restaurant was packed, but we were…read moreseated promptly, which was nice. I ordered the steak sandwich, which was a 10/10. My daughter ordered the Gilroy garlic pasta, which was also delicious. My son ordered the mac and cheese from the kids' menu, and my wife ordered the lettuce wraps. The food took a while to come out, but given how busy the restaurant was, that was understandable. Up until we received the bill, the evening was nearly perfect. Unfortunately, that's when things took a disappointing turn. The $19 lettuce wraps ended up costing us $31. During the ordering process, my wife asked our server, Jesus C., how the lettuce wraps came. He explained that she could choose chicken, salmon, or both, with 6 ounces of each. She chose both, not realizing that selecting those options would result in an additional charge. I take responsibility for not specifically asking whether there would be an extra charge. However, I also believe that when a menu item has a listed price and a customer is given additional protein options, the server should clearly explain that choosing those options will increase the price. Simply presenting them as available choices without mentioning an additional charge is misleading and creates an unpleasant surprise when the bill arrives. Unfortunately, a similar situation happened later in the meal. My 4-year-old son ate his mac and cheese very quickly. Jesus noticed and asked if he would like more. I agreed, again because no additional charge was mentioned. We expected to pay the $9 listed price for the kids' meal, only to find that we had been charged $18. I understand that restaurants charge for additional portions and upgrades, and I have no issue paying for something when the cost is clearly communicated beforehand. My concern is that, in both situations, we were not informed that additional charges would apply. Overall, this experience was disappointing. I left feeling like the pricing had not been communicated transparently, which unfortunately overshadowed what otherwise would have been an excellent meal. All that was needed was a simple statement such as, "There will be an additional charge for that." Moving forward, I will certainly make sure to ask about additional charges before agreeing to anything. However, I also believe the responsibility should be on the restaurant to clearly communicate pricing when customers are offered upgrades or additional portions. I will also be contacting Santa Clara County Weights and Measures to ask whether these pricing practices comply with applicable requirements. Update: After posting my review, the manager followed through and promptly contacted me regarding my concerns. We had a productive conversation, and the issue was resolved to our satisfaction. I appreciate the manager taking the time to personally reach out, listen to our concerns, and make things right. While our original experience was disappointing, I'm pleased with how the restaurant handled the situation afterward. That level of follow-through is appreciated and speaks positively to their commitment to their customers.

From the very beginning, the entire process was so easy and straightforward. Everyone we worked with was incredibly helpful, and one of our favorite things about Wedgewood was how customizable everything was. Having all of the vendors included made planning so much easier -- we were able to choose what we loved and make everything feel personal to us without the stress of finding and coordinating separate vendors. We loved that we still had plenty of guidance and support every step of the way! Our coordinator, Emily Loera, was an absolute angel! We seriously fell in love with her, her humor, and the way she guided us through the entire process. She made us feel so comfortable and made sure we loved every detail -- even the tiniest ones. She was so helpful in bringing our vision to life, and we genuinely cannot thank her enough! And the venue itself? Absolutely stunning. Our outdoor ceremony was beautiful and everything we dreamed of, but I have to say... the reception space was probably my personal favorite! I absolutely loved the vintage feel. The bar, chandeliers, windows, fireplace -- it was all SO gorgeous and gave the space so much character. We also have to give a huge shoutout to everyone who made our day so special! Our officiant, Will Orrock, was helpful, hilarious, and so kind -- he made us feel like we had known him forever. DJ Brian helped us create the perfect playlist, played all the bangers, and had our dance floor PACKED all night! Expressions Floral brought our dream centerpieces and sweetheart table arrangements to life, and we received so many compliments on the food throughout the night. We had our choice of indoor and outdoor seating, and opted for the nice covered outdoor patio. They had a good amount of seating in each area, and had a lot of shade outside, which is absolutely necessary in Gilroy. The patio and grass area was very pretty, filled with lots of plants and even a sculpture. The property is also next to a plant nursery, so that added to the beauty even beyond their property line. We were helped by Melissa, and she was great! They had two tasting flights of 4 wines to choose from on our visit, one of which included a white and reds, while the other was all reds. They did also have some extra bottles open, so they were able to make an all white wine flight for one in our party. The pours were a good size, enough to really get a feel for the wine and share a taste with others. Two of us ended up taking home the same bottle of pinot noir.
