The technician arrived at the specified time to find the blower capacitor blown so the system had iced up and was blowing warm air. This was during daytime temps around 100 deg F. He secured the system, then returned to do the repair after some of the ice melted and then came back the next day to fully function the system after the ice was completely melted. I just got the bill today and it was completely reasonable for the work that was done. They did not try to take advantage of the situation (unlike the plumber that came last month). They were professional, personable, and got the job done. They will be the ones I call the next time I need help.

I've been stressing because my AC system is older and they don't even make my type anymore. Replacing the whole thing would've been an absolute nightmare -- digging things out, gutting parts of the attic, replacing everything inside and outside... major headache. Instead of immediately pushing me toward an expensive full replacement, Bradlee actually took the time to think outside the box. Step by step, he carefully worked through the problem and figured out a way to save most of my existing system by replacing the coil and tackling the issues one by one. And here's what stood out to me: where others used strange quick fixes and temporary patches that never truly solved anything, Bradlee was honest. He replaced worn-out valves and components correctly, welded things into place, and did it all at a price that was incredibly fair. Once we filled the system back up, something in my gut said, "Have him check the attic one more time..." and BOOM -- there it was. The master leak! Again... where others failed, Bradlee came through. Some of these parts were literally welded into place and a huge pain to remove, but he hauled everything up, lined it up, adjusted what needed adjusting, and handled all of it without complaining. That kind of work takes patience. It takes skill. It takes someone who actually cares. The difference? Bradlee enjoys a challenge. He understands older systems and knows quality when he sees it. A lot of people just want the easiest route these days, but Bradlee was happy to put in the effort with a smile the entire time. And beyond the work itself, he's respectful, kind, explains things clearly without talking down to you, and is honestly just joyful to be around. Derek L. came out today to look at our AC Unit, which has been struggling when the temperatures…read moregets over 95 degrees, but otherwise cools the house. We were looking for a diagnosis and an estimate for repair or replacement. Derek said we had an old unit and the compressor windings were broken. He agreed to send us an estimate. After Derek left, I noticed my thermostat was off, which meant the whole unit was off. My husband reached out to Derek and was told he had turned everything off before leaving. We weren't advised of this before Derek left, had not agreed to any work or set up a return date, and were left in the 100+ degree heat. The off/on switch is on the unit, which is on the roof. There was no offer to come turn the unit back on. Note the unit was working when temps are below 95 degrees. I would have liked to have had a choice in whether he was turning the entire unit off and leaving us with no AC. The estimate was $5000 to replace the compressor or $13,000 for a new unit. Needless to say I had to call someone else out to turn the unit back on. At that time, I was told the we ultimately needed a new unit, as we have an old unit and when the compressor gets too hot, it turns off. Makes sense. In looking at whole sale new units they run about $4000.

When the passed away we continued the service with them. They come out twice a month to check and change filters for our A/C and heating. Within the last 6 months the dampers to open the flow of air wasn't working correctly. We had someone whom was doing work at our house and he did some work on the A/C which was a mistake. We called Burgeson's and they fixed everything that was needed. New A/C unit, changed the ducts from four systems to two, more efficient for the house. New thermostats on the wall that connect to our phone to change temperature when we're here or gone. They wore booties to keep floors clean and also laid a covering on the floor. They are very knowledgeable and were great discussing what they were doing. They also cleaned up any messes afterwards. They are the best, they also do solar, check out all the services they do. Very qualified technicians. Since there has been a service with them since 1980 they gave us a good discount. We also got a discount through Lenex and through the state. They did a great job and a good value for the work they did.
