Wow! What a workout, my body is feeling the burn! Amelia was so fun and she was very patient with us first timers! The facility is very clean and well organized. I can't wait to come back!

Hardest workout ever, but my favorite place to be! I have been doing solidcore on and off for the past year but just recently dedicated myself to it again and I am so glad I have. I've been to at least 3 studios in Indiana and this one is my favorite. Of course it is closer to my home, but it is also a bigger studio. I have a consistent coach as well. Her name is Jourdan and she pushes me, challenges me and encourages me which I need. I will say this, it's a little pricier than a typical gym membership but totally worth it because you see results soon with diet changes of courses I really love the classes and I am grateful for the accountability....plus Michelle Obama loves it :-).

Solidcore is one of the most challenge and effective workouts I've ever done. I think this broad ripple location is going to be extremely popular and will grow immensely in a short time. Want to know how Michelle Obama got her arms? Well hard work & solidcore. This studio started in the DC region and has expanded rapidly. This location is the third one in the Indianapolis area now. Compared to clay terrace this location is much larger. Connected to the river house apartment building the parking is seemingly okay. There is some street parking out front - but to be honest I parked in the urgent care center lot. The studio has a nice check in area, plenty of lockers and two bathrooms and changing rooms. There is water fountain as well. The lobby also has water for sell as well as merchandise. The studio featuring sweatlana - the one of a kind solidcore machine - has about 20 stations. It's equipped with amazing audio and mirrors on front and back walls to watch your form. The coach guides you through quick paced, yet slow and controlled movements. You'll do a lot of planking. You'll do some hellish butt work. The arms have a moment too. And you'll always, always do obliques. Get ready to come in and shake. Maddie, one of the instructors and assistant studio manager, has high energy and fun playlist that make the 50 minutes fly by.

I checked out a class weekend for the first time and it was so great. The instructor was Cameron and he was so patient, helpful and put on a tough class! For a first timer, I had some difficulty catching on to some of the moves, but was not at all discouraged to return. I was sore for several days following because all the moves were so different to anything I've done in the past. I would highly recommend checking out solid core if you're up for a great challenge and want to try something new!

I can definitely feel the soreness within 5 mins of this class and I am drenching in sweat. The broad ripple location just opened up and I was there for their preview classes and got their 10 class passes. It was $159 for 10 classes and right now it's $160 for 10 classes but I'm not sure how long the promotion will be. Yes, it's expensive like any other gym that you signed up for, BUT, after every workout, my abs are dying inside, in a best way possible. I also tried out their community class for $10, which is a GREAT deal. There's nothing different from regular classes vs community class, except the price( obviously) and the community class has instructors that are in training. I felt that two different instructors that I had were no different. They were very motivating. They don't always have these community classes so if you see one, reserve a spot! Workout is 45 mins long, they incorporate Pilates. I was hesitant to try it out the first time because I didn't like regular Pilates classes when I tried it four times. They have about 10-12 reformer machines with resistance bands for legs and arms. The class starts out with your abs. I am already dying inside within 5 mins. I don't know how long the each workout (abs, arms and legs) is but that's a good thing! You don't want to know and you don't care to know because you are working hard. Then you move on to legs then arms. It's ok, if you don't know any moves, because the instructors are great with adjusting you and making sure you are doing the right thing. It may be a fast pace for some because sometimes we are moving from the front to the back of the reformer. They do have bathrooms and changing room but I don't believe I saw a shower. They also have lockers to lock your stuff and you don't need to wear shoes or socks for the class. They do have water bottles for you to buy and Bobby pins and the hair tie. You can also sign up for classes using class pass. They do have classes from 5am to 8pm I believe. Check them out!

Took my first solidcore class yesterday and my abs have never been this sore! I did a 50 minute full-body workout with an awesome instructor! The workers were very nice and friendly and seemed liked they genuinely wanted to get to know you. There's a beginner class that you should probably go to first so you can get the moves down (I didn't lol). But all the exercises can be modified depending on your strength and fitness level. They have a deal online to get two classes for $17 each. Would definitely advise checking it out! You'll build lean muscle in no time!

Invoke has been such a blessing throughout this second pregnancy. Between the reformer classes and prenatal yoga, I feel physically better (and more prepared) than I did for my first kiddo.  I especially want to thank Rachel Weigler for the modifications she offers in her reformer classes. She is very knowledgeable in what to avoid/modifications, etc. for pregnant women and it's clear that other pregnant women have taken note as I often find that I am not the only pregnant individual in the intimate four person classes.  I'm two weeks out from baby #2 and grateful to know that "on the other side" there will be monthly "mama and me" yoga classes and postnatal pilates classes to get me back on track and feeling strong. I already have a note in the calendar to sign up once it gets closer. ;) Feeling incredibly lucky to have this studio walking distance from home in the Old Northside. PS: did I mention Mantis Massage operates under the same roof *and* that they offer prenatal massages? One stop shop!

I have been practicing yoga religiously for almost 18 months, but I had never experienced an outdoor yoga class. It was time! I'm so glad that my first outdoor yoga class was with Invoke, because the instructor who led us (Jill) was so amazing. She challenged us and encouraged us, and she also adjusted my poses a couple of times and it helped me a lot. One of the adjustments during savasana helped me to relax deeper and release the tension I was holding in my shoulders that I didn't even realize was there. The outdoor yoga class was held at the marina in Eagle Creek. It was a beautiful spot to gaze out onto the water and into the trees as we breathed deeply and moved our bodies. Be prepared to deal with some goose poop and ant hills, though. But that's part of being outdoors, right? We, the people with yoga mats, are invading the space of animals and wildlife -- we are the interlopers here. If you take an outdoor class, I suggest bringing a big towel to lay on the ground underneath your mat. It will help. After this class, I now want to practice outdoors more. It was so nice to be in a plank pose and see a roly poly wander near my mat, and gaze at the clouds while in sky archer pose. I also want to visit Invoke again (maybe during one of their indoor classes) because I felt so welcomed and left super smiley and centered.

When I first signed up, I was told they'd work with me if something came up. But now that I actually need help, I'm being met with nothing but silence and fees. I was Pilates curious about a year and three months ago (hint: this is how long I've been with Era…read morePilates now), and was trying to decide which of the listed choices to try out. I was lucky that there was a manageable amount of options to choose from, and the reason why Era initially stood out to me was the individual and small capped class sizes. I remember when I first called, I was so nervous as I said I wasn't a "pilates" body. Mary, the owner, was the one who answered my call, and firmly told me everyone was welcomed to do pilates. I was still a little skeptical, but signed up for my first initial session and was paired with Hali. I remember being intimidated initially by all the apparatus, but Hali walked me through them with ease, but I also remember getting my butt thoroughly kicked by that session. As I enjoyed it, and wanted something physical to my routine, I told myself to give it six months before finding something else to do. It's quite obvious that I love Pilates, seeing how I'm past a year doing this. I have had Hali as my private instructor this entire time, and have faithfully been seeing her on a weekly basis, unless vacations or holidays pop up. From the time I started to now, I know there's a huge difference, one of the biggest being that I no longer have lower back pain. I know my core is stronger since I constantly engage it, nearly automatically, when doing other physical tasks. When I first started, roll ups were something I struggled with, and now, I am able to articulate going back down and up. Every session is a challenge, but I always leave it feeling stronger and taller. I can even say from this latest lesson, I know I've grown. Hali constantly pushes and challenges me, whether I want to or not. She does a great job breaking down what we are doing, to make sure I understand the what and the why. I also appreciate her hands-on approach to corrections and feedbacks, as it's the fastest way for me to understand and ensure that I align myself correctly. I had the opportunity to also take one of Valerie's group classes. While a different style, she was a great instructor providing verbal feedback and ensuring the class was a challenging one. I haven't had the opportunity to follow up with more classes with Valerie due to my schedule, but I hope to visit her sessions when I am able to. I love the vibes and space that Era provides and hope that I continue to practice with Era for a long time!
