While LA does have more to offer, I never felt comfortable working out there. So many lunk heads and judgey stares. From the minute I walked in, I knew it would be a completely different experience. Sean, the assistant manager, knows my name and always smiles and says hello. This goes a long way in my book. At the big box gyms, you're just a face in a million. I always come on my lunch hour to lift and never have issues getting to any piece of equipment. The have a great weight room with a large selection of machines and free weights. The equipment is older and not shiny and new, but it's all functional and safe, so who cares? The cardio selection is decent, lots of treadmills, several ellipticals, lots of bikes and a few stair masters. I can't speak to their classes, I've never taken any. The sauna is nice and hot as hell. Locker rooms are older, but again, functional. All around, this is a highly recommended facility. Speaking as a woman that frequently works out alone, I very much enjoy my time at CTF and look forward to working out now more than ever.

It has everything you need for every style of workout you could do, like powerlifting, body building, CrossFit, running, and even sports performance! The owners, Doug & Andrew are super cool and down to earth, and members are all really friendly, including the very intimidating powerlifters. Plus, you honestly can't beat the price. $60/month for unlimited use of the gym 24/7 with key fob, but they also offer personal training & sports performance coaching and have a powerlifting team (goals to join that one day!!!). If you do personal training, I highly recommend Shane! He's super cool and down-to-Earth, knowledgeable, and designs some workouts that will kick your butt into shape without being overwhelming or scary. One of the first leg workouts he gave me, I laughed a little because my first instinct as a former rugby player was that it was about to be an easy workout, but by the end my legs were jello and I was cursing (lol). Plus for personal training rates, the prices are awesome! If you join now, you can get in Shane's 6 week fitness challenge which has been great to meet new people in Indy!

However, it has quickly gone downhill. The equipment is left everywhere (not just the staffs' fault, the members could do better too!), the staff seems young and very disengaged, rarely do I see any staff members cleaning, and there is a lack of equipment. I truly wish the staff would be more present, walk around more and ensure the facility is running like it should be/ that the members of the facility are also being respectful, clean, etc. Also, for as much as members are being charged, new equipment would be nice! I've worked with Mark Morgan for several years now, and he is, without question, the best trainer I've ever worked with. His knowledge of fitness, strength training, mobility, and overall health is incredible, but what really sets him apart is after all these years, he continues to challenge me, and somehow keeps me engaged even on the days I'm not feeling it. As a former college athlete, I've become noticeably stronger, my overall fitness has improved, and I can do things today that I couldn't do when I started. When I've had physical concerns (including a fun year with frozen shoulder) I relied so heavily on the expertise and experience of Dr. Jon Francis - who is absolutely incredible... and also a phenomenal trainer himself! But the biggest transformation hasn't been physical. The greatest gift F3 has given me has been my mental health. Life is busy, stressful, and demanding, and that hour has become something I genuinely need. No matter how I walk through the door--stressed, exhausted, overwhelmed, or distracted--I always leave feeling happier, more energized, and in a better headspace than when I arrived. The entire team at F3 is so welcoming & encouraging. I've made genuine friends in some of the trainers and others who work out there. I've seen great athletes improve, and I've seen people regain their lives there. It is a space for everyone, completely free of judgment. Whether you're just starting your fitness journey or you've been training for years, Mark meets you where you are and pushes you to become the best version of yourself. If you're looking for a gym that genuinely cares about you as a whole person, I cannot recommend F3 and Mark Morgan highly enough.

This location gets a little crowded with a lot of people working out. The machines are pretty close together and it gets pretty loud when all the cardio machines are going.
