We went with a large group without a reservation (our party's fault, not the restaurant's) but they accommodated us as fast as they could. Even brought out a couple plates of the nachos for free! I ordered my own nachos, husband had spicy tuna roll (very spicy to him), youngest had California roll. All was good! Bartenders very attentive even though they were very busy. Nice waitstaff. Great atmosphere! Their appetizers and sushi are really good. If you are an olive lover, get the fried martini olives! We also tried the nachos, and they are amazing! The entrees were good. I had the bleu cheese steak salad. It was great! One of the burgers were too salty... But nothing crazy. Our waitress was really nice. As far as drinks go, try the jalapeño grapefruit mule! YUM! Giving two stars only because me and my boyfriend have been here several times prior to tonight and had no problems. Tonight we went to sole and waited 20 minutes on a table, which was fine. What wasn't fine is how we sat at our table for 15 minutes and still no one had come to the table to take our drink orders. After 15 minutes I got up and told the hostess that no one had taken our drink order. She said someone would be coming soon. We waited for another 5 minutes no one came, so we got up and left. I had my 29th Birthday Dinner at Sole and they blew me away with their amazing service. My party had 30+ people and we still had very quick service. As soon as we sat down they gave us free appetizers to hold us over. There were 3+ waiters and a manager that assisted us so no long waits. Came here on a Friday night and sat outside on the patio. Great atmosphere on the patio. The tables have a fire pit built in the middle. We got the zen, fiery habanero, and spicy tuna rolls. You know, everyone seems to really love this place. It is ALWAYS packed when I am there for dinner or drinks. I just have not quite figured out what all the love is about. To begin, I will state that the food was actually very good. Both my wife and I went here for a date night and we were both happy with our food, it was really good... however. The service and the atmosphere were both, lacking...to put it politely. The girl at the entrance looked so unhappy that my wife commented "wow, she looks like she hates her life". She also was wearing a long sleeved cardigan because is was so cold inside that our fingers were like ice. We happily played during dinner by freezing each others necks with our hands...fun aside, this isnt how I pictured our rare date night away from the kids to go. The server wasn't terrible but she wasn't very friendly. I like a server who is friendly and makes me feel welcome. No one really made me feel welcome, or that I even existed really other than the one girl in a dress who walked by asked if things were ok, then left. The rest of the staff was all in the corner not far away doing nothing, joking around and it just didn't feel like a place where they took their jobs very serious, more like a bunch of college kids goofing around. On top of the lackluster service we had to listen to someone using power tools in the back ground most of our visit. Great if you love the sound of drills, but that's not me. So much for date night.... I may go back some day, but not anytime soon, just to give it a second chance, but I'm not sure if I'll be recommending this place to any of my friends. Five stars for Monday sushi nights!!! My best friend suggested we come here on a Monday for the sushi special. And omg so glad we did. We arrived at around 8:45 which is on the later side since they close at 10 but it had luckily cleared it some from the dinner rush so that was a plus. We sat down at a booth and Richard our server greeted us and gave us some menus. He fought us I've some water and asked about anything else to drink. I had already looked at the menu and was starving so pretty much couldn't make up my mind. The special menu had about 15 rolls to choose from that were all 3.56, so I did the quick math and when Richard came back I ordered ONE OF EVERYTHING on the special menu for my friend and I. Richard looked at me like I had three heads and repeated just to confirm. We confirmed and he giggled and was off to put in our order! This was partly in celebration of my friends birthday paired with my severe hunger! About 15-20 minutes later our order was up! We had the raw sushi on one huge plate and the cooked in the other (my friend is prego so no raw for her). Everything was really good and totally worth it, grove roll was the best also there's one with egg that I also loved. Monday nights is wheres it's at. I have to come back and try their drinks there's a jalapeño grapefruit mule calling my name, and it'll def have to be on their cute patio area by the fire! I was told the wait was 30 minutes and it ended up being 45 minutes. 3 minutes later a text says, "your table has been ready 4 minutes ago." By that time we went to Soy Noodle. Excellent service, strong drinks, pretty good roll selection. It was our first time here, and we were very happy with everything. We had 2 kids under 18 with us, so when we came in and saw the bar scene up front at 9pm, we thought we were in the wrong place, but they have spacious tables and booths in the back. We only waited a couple of minutes to sit. Our server Graham was awesome and everything came out very fast. The Habenero Moonshine drink definitely has some kick but my husband loved it! I tried the Jalapeño Mule and it was milder, and pretty refreshing. By the time we left at 10 (9 rolls later), they were checking IDs at the door. So it turns into a party late at night apparently. Solé is one of the best places to visit in Augusta, hands down! The rolls are fresh and reasonably priced, the customer service is excellent, and the Sapporo was cold. We had the Grove, Solé, and the Futa Maki rolls ... and *drum roll* a special roll made by the staff that is fashioned after the Lion King rolls at the Kiku sushi chain. They all had fresh ingredients and tasted great, but it is crazy that the chefs are willing to work with us to make a roll that will definitely become a future hit! The interior decor is immensely nice and modern, yet the true charm lies in the people who work here. Customer service at Solé is among the greatest i have ever had. The staff here will become future leaders because they know how to conversate with their customers and make them feel as if they are welcomed. When i am in town from Atlanta, Solé is now a mainstay of mine! read more
