I absolutely love the concept of food halls! I have a friend that lives in the building and I met her for happy hour one evening to catch up over drinks. This was the perfect location for such an occasion because we also were able to participate in trivia night. The service, drinks and people at the bar were amazing as were all of the food items we had including wings from Soko Butcher. It was definitely a vibe and I'm so jealous my friend has the convenience of a bar and multiple food options a mere few feet from her door.

Hey friends! I was so excited to meet some other Yelpers at Solaire Social for an unofficial holiday get together. I heard great things about it from TikTok. Solaire Social is a chic food hall offering multicultural culinary delights. We sat at the bar. And indulged in their happy hour. I asked the bartender to surprise me with a white wine. He brought me a Cupcake Pinot Grigio($7HH). Yummmm! I decided on pizza for dinner. I ordered the Don Queso pizza($13) via the QR code and the pizza came out within 15 minutes. The pizza was okay. I would've preferred a crunchier crust. And the cheese was very salty. The portion is great for the price. Next time I'll probably try a different food option at Solaire Social. Service was amazing! I was greeted warmly approaching the bar by Nick, our bartender. He was very attentive and social. Interior is large and vibrant. There was a group of friends enjoying a game of ping pong inside. Parking is limited and paid. This is a great happy-hour, link up with friends type of spot. And Silver Spring has so much to offer within a few miles. Enjoy! With love, The Picky Pescatarian

Have tried solaire twice with two separate friend groups. The food options are great, though pricey. I like the wings, the pizza was good and both were very fast. The cocktails were good. I didn't care for the chicken sandwich was was basically tenders on a bun with an indistinguishable sauce. The vibe is clean and nice. Big windows looking out on a trail. I find it enough to be a decent spot to go eat, though their business model is to charge a "common fee" for the activities they run, which is not only annoying in the fee sense, they were using amplified sound for bingo, which we weren't playing and yet we couldn't seem to avoid. If you're going to charge a fee, can I at least NOT have to yell for my friend to hear me over dinner? Additionally, the bartender wouldn't let us open a tab unless we sat at the bar during our first visit. So we had like 3 different charges for one dinner. Second time they seemed to have resolved this and allowed us to just keep our tab open, but strange.

We had a great time here. So happy to have this food court in our neighborhood. We got the orange crush and watermelon crush and both were delicious. There were plenty of places to sit, nice sunlight and a pool table! For food we tried the kati roll wala and sushi. We got the plant based protein bowl, chicken naan pizza and masala fries. I liked the masala fries best. Pizza was okay and the protein bowl was good. I'm going to try the actual kati roll next time since Kati rolls are the original delicacy of the business. The owners were wonderful. The sushi was okay, but I'll give it another shot in the future. Looking forward to spending more time here for good vibes and convenience.

This is the newest food hall on the scene that is located in right off of Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, MD. The food options available take you on a world tour of different cuisines that range from Brazilian to African. I methodically made my way through each restaurant and was quickly transfixed by the shucking of oysters being prepared at Soko Oysters. I quickly beelined to the counter to order a 1/2 dozen. These were some of the freshest oysters I had in a while and instantly regretted not ordering more. I rounded out my food tour by trying the African inspired ice cream flavors from Shuga x Ice. I tried a scoop of tea & bread which was then topped with a generous topping of Chin Chin, a fried cookie popular in Nigeria.

An impressive variety of flavorful dishes that cater to every palate and craving. Plenty of tasty menu options that hit the spot whether you're craving comfort or trying something new.

Cute food hall with a lot of different options and good amount of seating! I've only been once so can only speak to one of the restaurants admittedly, but I had the pizza and didn't really enjoy it. It said wood fired, but had none of the char you would expect. The cheese also wasn't really heated enough to not just be kind of a glob. I'm giving three still because there are so many other options and have heard from the friends I went with that they are better especially the BBQ, but I wouldn't get the pizza again.

My wife and I are so glad to be next door neighbors of Solaire Social (we live at Solaire 1150 Ripley) and we are excited to try all the wonderful places there. We've only tried the bar for the Nepenthe stout which was an affordable price of only $7 and the bartender was very fast and friendly as well as the amazing Manna Sushi for lunch this past week. We look forward to trying all the other diverse vendors. The staff including the bartender and Manna Sushi's staff are all very friendly and there is wonderful and ample seating in this spacious food hall.

The actual place is beautiful - plenty of seating and a good variety of food options. Tried the Kati roll and "masala" fries this time and wow, it was beyond disappointing. The chicken in the Kati roll was borderline cold and there was no masala on the fries.. they were just regular fries. Maybe it was an off day, but I don't think I'd try it again. Might opt for something else if I go back

So much potential in this spot. I was in the area getting a cut when I noticed this place next door and asked if it was open to all...this food court sits in the main area of the apartment complex. There's ample seating, outlets, views, and plenty of food options. There's even a pool table in case you need a second to yourself lol. I was shocked...I was surprised this placed wasn't packed as it was lunch time. Silver spring is a tough market...so many different options. I believe if this food court had free parking or at least validated you may see a nice lunch crowd. Great place for meeting a large group...or even a group of two or three. I tried the picanha, rice, and farofa....the farofa wasn't my fave but I was trying something new...didn't matter because upon receiving the restaurant provided beans as well because I think she had a feeling I wasn't going to like it lol. Can't wait to try some of the other food options

Shrimp shumai, crunchy spicy crab, crunchy spicy salmon, margarita
    Christine R.

I love that a food hall has come to DTSS! The evenings turn into a whole vibe, especially Fridays. I've gotten Manna Sushi each time- always fresh and flavorful. I get the spicy crunchy tuna, crab, and sometimes shrimp shumai. The first time I came, the server at the counter forgot who ordered and my food sat for a little until I finally went up to ask if it was mine. She said she didn't recognize me...it had been 5 min. She's been fine the other times I've come though. I've also gotten the African ice cream at Shuga x Ice. I sampled a couple, but liked the Tea + Bread most. The bar has great music and sometimes a live DJ. The bar is still getting it together- a few bartenders who seem to just be learning how to make drinks. They're all friendly though! I just really want more people to get to know this space because it has a lot of potential. I would love to see a place that does Latin food.

Empty! Boring. Good food option, but zero atmosphere. What a shame. No soul. Nobody who I know is aware of this place.

what is the 8.5% service fee ? That is not a "small fee" and should be explained why this fee is necessary

My wife and I had been here for lunch before and had a good experience, so this time we figured why not check it out for dinner? Turns out, it was a great idea. The wait for the food was a bit on the longer end, but to be perfectly fair, we ordered a LOT, so we certainly didn't mind. By the time the food hit the table, we forgot about it almost entirely because the smells of freshly made kitfo, lamb tibs, and this stewed chicken dish whose name I can't remember (but it came with a hardboiled egg!) hit our nose, nothing else mattered. The food was presented in a way that somehow matched the overall vibe of the restaurant, which at this time of night was set to be kinda toned down with dingy lighting and smooth music. Huge call out to my waiter that I curse myself for not getting his name, because he is, simply put, the best server I've ever had at a restaurant. Not only was he timely and discreet about topping off our waters, but also checked in about soft drinks as well, and when he heard my son saying the food was too spicy for him, he took it upon himself to get him something else to eat that wasn't spicy at all, and without myself or my wife asking. If you're looking for a great place to eat with a killer atmosphere and even better service, you've found it.

Other options right now are Krazi Burrito, Krazi Chick, and Krazi Kebob. There's also a new Boba place too. It looks like there used to be a coffee shop and a salad place, or something like that, so just be aware that the kitchen space may change up. We ordered 2 Kati Rolls (paneer and lamb kofta) from Krazi Kebob. We did Chappli Kabob, a Kabob Roll, and the Lamb Chop platter from The Kabob Joint. And we did the Thai tea and Chai tea from the boba shop. For the Kabob Joint: The Kabob roll was a real winner and the Chappli Kabob in the spicy green sauce was super. I wish the edges would have been a little crispier, but very good. We haven't had the Lamb Chop yet but there's a ton of food in their platters. For the Krazi Kabob, the paneer roll wasn't super spicy but was very tasty and I'd definitely get it again. The lamb was good too but I preferred the paneer. Highly recommend ordering in advance or with delivery; there isn't anywhere to sit and eat of course, and everything is made to order, so expect about a 20 minute wait if you walk in and order from the kiosk inside. Overall, great food and a cool business model for the area. In addition to the above, I'd probably get the Masala Fries next time and would consider the samosa chaat as a deconstructed samosa bowl.
