It's a huge spot with a number of tasty global eats, including Thai, Brazilian, West African, and Mexican of course! ;) Residents of 8200 Dixon get 10% off every meal since it's directly connected to the building. There's pool tables, several TVs, foosball tables, checkers, chess and just about anything gaming related spread throughout for fun. Oftentimes on the weekends, there's a DJ spinning and local vendors doing pop ups. Big games (NFC championship, March Madness, NBA finals) get a lot of activity here, so it's best to arrive early to nab a prime "bar seat". While it's lacking in "full arcade" games like D&B, it's way cleaner and a better "grown up" option than the former. Meals run from $9-18 on average which won't break the bank. People often come here to WFH since it's generally quiet during the work day. They were all so friendly and informative! Their juices are amazing! So refreshing and we ended up ordering twice lol I got some Thai food (sweet potato noodle Korean stir-fry) that looked beautiful with a large portion. The flavor lacked depth but was still worth it My absolute FAV?! The street corn fire grilled PIZZA!! I even customized it and added Birria meat and it was amazing!! My first time in a food hall and I'm intrigued. There were several food options that looked good. I went to the vegan place and the bar. The hot agave mushroom sandwich is an absolute HIT! pair that with the tots and it's a memorable meal. The woman who took my order even found me in the hall when my order was complete. The bar had limited selection. But the bartender offered up a decent comparable to my favorite bourbon So my taste buds want MORE! I walked by this place on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't empty and it wasn't crowded. But I took notice that a sign said all day happy hour and what I paid for my drink did not make me HAPPY! Hey friends! I was so excited to meet some other Yelpers at Solaire Social for an unofficial holiday get together. I heard great things about it from TikTok. Solaire Social is a chic food hall offering multicultural culinary delights. We sat at the bar. And indulged in their happy hour. I asked the bartender to surprise me with a white wine. He brought me a Cupcake Pinot Grigio($7HH). Yummmm! I decided on pizza for dinner. I ordered the Don Queso pizza($13) via the QR code and the pizza came out within 15 minutes. The pizza was okay. I would've preferred a crunchier crust. And the cheese was very salty. The portion is great for the price. Next time I'll probably try a different food option at Solaire Social. Service was amazing! Have tried solaire twice with two separate friend groups. The food options are great, though pricey. I like the wings, the pizza was good and both were very fast. The cocktails were good. I didn't care for the chicken sandwich was was basically tenders on a bun with an indistinguishable sauce. The vibe is clean and nice. Big windows looking out on a trail. I find it enough to be a decent spot to go eat, though their business model is to charge a "common fee" for the activities they run, which is not only annoying in the fee sense, they were using amplified sound for bingo, which we weren't playing and yet we couldn't seem to avoid. If you're going to charge a fee, can I at least NOT have to yell for my friend to hear me over dinner? Additionally, the bartender wouldn't let us open a tab unless we sat at the bar during our first visit. So we had like 3 different charges for one dinner. The staff were still in the process of setting up when I arrived at the advertised opening time of 11am and some of the food stations were vacant. Although I didn't sample any food during this visit, I look forward to doing so in the future. Food options include Fire Pit Brazilian Barbecue, Just Chicken, Kabab 2 Go, Kati Roll Wala, Shuga x Ice, Mana Sushi, Pau & Sophia's Thai Kitchen, Soko Oyster, and a full bar. We had a great time here. So happy to have this food court in our neighborhood. We got the orange crush and watermelon crush and both were delicious. There were plenty of places to sit, nice sunlight and a pool table! For food we tried the kati roll wala and sushi. We got the plant based protein bowl, chicken naan pizza and masala fries. I liked the masala fries best. Pizza was okay and the protein bowl was good. I'm going to try the actual kati roll next time since Kati rolls are the original delicacy of the business. This is the newest food hall on the scene that is located in right off of Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, MD. The food options available take you on a world tour of different cuisines that range from Brazilian to African. I methodically made my way through each restaurant and was quickly transfixed by the shucking of oysters being prepared at Soko Oysters. I quickly beelined to the counter to order a 1/2 dozen. These were some of the freshest oysters I had in a while and instantly regretted not ordering more. I rounded out my food tour by trying the African inspired ice cream flavors from Shuga x Ice. Really cool food hall space. Parking nearby isn't the best, but once you get past that, you're in for a treat! Even before you enter, the outside looks inviting and has a few nice tables. Once you enter, there's some seating immediately to the right and some vendors are there to greet you. When you keep going, you see a bit of everything. The bar is huge -- there are so many seats around it, and then there are dozens of high and low tables to sit at. The diversity of the food is something -- African, Mexican, Indian, BBQ... and more places are being added as we speak. If you haven't been to Solaire Social yet, it's Silver Spring's only food hall (for now), and yes, they do have happy hour. I haven't been disappointed by anything I've eaten or drank there so far. This place is a hidden gem. I thought it was the lobby to an apartment building but its a FOOD HALL with a great bar! I went during a random Friday Afternoon and it was pretty quiet. The food hall is super clean with a good selection of food. From my understanding, this place has a reoccurring DJ on Fridays and Saturdays after 5PM, if they aren't doing Karaoke. I also learned they are considering doing game nights are other cool community events. I ordered from the Jamaican fusion spot - and because it was so quiet this particular afternoon, the chef walked my order over to me at the bar. I really appreciated him going the extra mile. Cute food hall with a lot of different options and good amount of seating! I've only been once so can only speak to one of the restaurants admittedly, but I had the pizza and didn't really enjoy it. It said wood fired, but had none of the char you would expect. The cheese also wasn't really heated enough to not just be kind of a glob. My wife and I are so glad to be next door neighbors of Solaire Social (we live at Solaire 1150 Ripley) and we are excited to try all the wonderful places there. We've only tried the bar for the Nepenthe stout which was an affordable price of only $7 and the bartender was very fast and friendly as well as the amazing Manna Sushi for lunch this past week. We look forward to trying all the other diverse vendors. As a food hall "as a whole" it's a 5 star food hall. Great ambience, very light and airy, non crowded, comfy seating and a huge variety of restaurants (though weirdly no coffee place, that seems a gap.) I've only been once so far, my husband ordered from the Kathi roll place (I got bites and sips!), and I ordered from the Brazilian place. Rating those individual establishments individually, I'd give 4 star rating to the Kathi rolls and 3.5 to the Brazillian. Both are pricey for what you get - probably in part because of high rents in the area. Come here because you want variety and to hang out in a cool space, not to get a bargain meal. Each of our meals came out to about $25 (with drinks, tax, tip). So $50 total. I think the Indian was a little better overall. Nice mango lassi, very tasty chicken tikka in the roll. I didn't try the little samosas but they looked cute (very tiny). My favorite part of the Brazillian meal was the potato salad, a very good mayo based potato salad. The picanha I got was a bit overcooked and chewy, definitely not up to the grade you would get at a churascarria, but it still had nice flavor. I tried the cassava side, it started with an F but I can't remember what it was called. Fluffy Bread Crumbs is what it should have been called because that's what it tasted like. Not going to lie, I didn't care for this one. It was super dry and texture was weird and the veggies and bacon that were supposed to be in there were darn near non-detectible. I'm not docking them much for this because I'm totally unfamiliar with this dish and maybe it's supposed to be this way, and I'm just an ignorant gringo. But I wouldn't order it again. I love the natural light here and so many of the other vendors looked interesting and smelled good, and there's a great big bar for when you want a new happy hour destination although we didn't try that when we were there. So we'll definitely be back, with our knitting, to enjoy the space and "get our rent's worth" for the extra high food prices. read more

I love that a food hall has come to DTSS! The evenings turn into a whole vibe, especially Fridays. I've gotten Manna Sushi each time- always fresh and flavorful. I get the spicy crunchy tuna, crab, and sometimes shrimp shumai. The first time I came, the server at the counter forgot who ordered and my food sat for a little until I finally went up to ask if it was mine. She said she didn't recognize me...it had been 5 min. She's been fine the other times I've come though. I've also gotten the African ice cream at Shuga x Ice. I sampled a couple, but liked the Tea + Bread most. The bar has great music and sometimes a live DJ. The bar is still getting it together- a few bartenders who seem to just be learning how to make drinks. They're all friendly though! So much potential in this spot. I was in the area getting a cut when I noticed this place next door and asked if it was open to all...this food court sits in the main area of the apartment complex. There's ample seating, outlets, views, and plenty of food options. There's even a pool table in case you need a second to yourself lol. I was shocked...I was surprised this placed wasn't packed as it was lunch time. Silver spring is a tough market...so many different options. I believe if this food court had free parking or at least validated you may see a nice lunch crowd. Great place for meeting a large group...or even a group of two or three. I tried the picanha, rice, and farofa....the farofa wasn't my fave but I was trying something new...didn't matter because upon receiving the restaurant provided beans as well because I think she had a feeling I wasn't going to like it lol. Food halls are taking over the DMV. With no hesitation, I can honestly say Solaire Social is going to change the Silver Spring area. The various food options, 40 chair bar, stage for performances, and inviting staff, you can't help but to love it and the ambiance Just chicken - fried chicken salad and tenders were seasoned well and fresh Soko and Soko oysters - who doesn't love fresh oysters !! They also have this spicy Asian soy sauce that you'll love. The wings, crab fries, and burgers were also tasty Shiva x Ice - lovedddddd !!! The spicy chocolate ice cream will change your life. My husband got the thai food, which was pretty pricey but delicious. I had a walla bowl from the Indian place - that was healthy and well balanced but also filling and satisfied my Indian craving. You order directly from each restaurant and you get a text when the food is ready. I had the chicken fries from Just Chicken and the shrimp tempura roll from the sushi spot and both were good. My experience wasn't the best because a lot of areas were short staffed. The sushi place only had one person so the wait for the food was long and the bar only had two bartenders serving the entire bar plus walk ups so drink orders took forever. They do have daily HH specials. I would definitely go back just to grab food but wouldn't necessarily go back to the bar. read more

I really enjoyed my visit at Solaire Social. It was a new food hall that opened on May 17th and me and my friend heard about it and wanted to check it out. At first glance, it does look like a luxury apartment complex but I promise you it is worth checking out! I love the aesthetics of Solaire Social, inside looks very modern and clean. As soon as we went in, we were greeted by Eyob who gave us an amazing tour of the place and gave us the BEST recommendations. We got to speak to a lot of the owners of the different food vendors and everyone was super welcoming and nice. My friend and I got the white glove first rate experience and it was the best feeling. Solaire Social definitely brought some creative and diverse food vendors to the Silver Spring area. Me and my friend tried Fire Pit, a Brazilian bbq location; Shuga x Ice, an african flavor ice cream shop; and Manna Sushi. At Fire Pit, we ordered tender mouthwatering beef ribs with white rice and potato salad. It was really tasty, if they had a good glaze and sauce it would take it up to a 10! I also got to try a unique Brazilian soda, guarana, which was so refreshing and fruity. It was just what I needed on a hot sunny day. We also tried Shuga x Ice. I absolutely loved the ice cream! A 10/10 you must try recommendation! I tried the Love Nwantiti ice cream, a malta flavored ice cream and tea and bread flavor. We also got to taste the other flavors and every single one was a BANGER! I really wanted to get a scoop of the Chin Chin Dairy Free Coconut Cream ice cream but because it is super tasty and popular, it was not available that day. I am absolutely going back just for that flavor. The malta flavor though was very nostalgic to me being Caribbean American. The owner talked to us about her vision and she was super sweet! Lastly, we tried a chicken bao bun from Manna Sushi and it did not disappoint! It was to flavorful and tasty. Perfect for a quick quick snack. I would absolutely come back to this food hall. It seems like the perfect place for gatherings, working remotely (they have free wifi), or just hanging out! This space is absolutely stunning and great for family gatherings- as we are trying to keep it family friendly. Because we are a new food hall, you should expect imperfections because no business will start out perfect and prestige, but trust and believe that we will improve. I intended to try Soko Oysters because I love seafood but they didn't have any oysters out yet. And so was their signature sauce. The chicken was fried perfectly and juicy . The sandwich held up pretty well too, wasn't too messy. My goal my next visit is try the sushi place which looked good and had a nice size menu and I definitely need to go back and try Soko oysters. Solaire Social should get 10 stars! I had my birthday party there this past weekend. The experience exceeded my expectations! Belinda was very helpful and communicative. She answered my questions, worked with my special requests, and even helped me carry my birthday items from the car. The part that made my birthday event exceptional was how Belinda decorated my private party area. I thought she would blow a few balloons or set out a few of the items I had bought. However, Belinda did so much more. She hung (and fixed) a birthday banner, added tableclothes, and just made my area beatiful! She even sent me photos and a video when she finished. I thank the staff for their interior design assistance, their attention to detail, and the awesome customer service! Great job! And, my guests loved Solaire Social! They liked the free board games, the pool table, and the overall atmosphere. People kept praising me for hosting my party at such a cool location. My friend and I were immediately treated by Eyob, super friendly, he gave us a tour of the entire food hall. Everyone at each restaurant was super nice! The main food spots that stood out to the me was fire pit and shuga x ice. At fire pit, a Brazilian bbq location, we ordered tender mouthwatering beef ribs with white rice and potato salad. It came with this delicious green sauce that paired really well with the white rice and beef. The beef may be a bit salty for some but it tasted good to me! Also got their famous guarana which was so crisp and fresh tasting. Delicious! For desert, we stopped by shuga x ice, this super creative concept of African flavored inspired icecream by the amazing Ndidiamaka, she put her WHOLE FOOT in this icecream (not literally, lol) but That icecream is definitely the best I've had in the DMV, hands down! It was so nostalgic as well gas I grew up in an African household. Overall the food hall is super clean, multiple outlets, free WiFi, if you want to come there to do homework! This is a review of the overall management of the food hall, not of any particular business that sublets space for their stalls. I was told when buying my 17 dollar meal that the food hall landlord does not allow the individual victuallers to provide a cup of tapwater. You can buy bottled water, which INVOLVES BURNING EXTRA HYDROCARBONS TO TRANSPORT IT. Seems not considerate of the environment, and made me not want to go back -- despite the delicious food we ate. What's more: given the price point of the food there, which is as high or higher than some full serve places in Silver Spring, it is really disrepectful to customers. I understand its a business, but there are certain standards of hospitality that should be included: fork, napkin and tap water. Apparently, the landlord has an interest not just in rent, but in the sale of beverages (perhaps the bar???) and so the victuallers are forced to (a) cause needless environmental harm by forcing water drinkers to buy bottled water and (b) to disrespect basic tenets of hospitality. read more
