I stopped in today not expecting too much just good food. I came in and instantly felt like family the staff was so nice and the food and drinks were amazing. The service was great and the ambiance was amazing. If you like a little spice try the Camerones à la Diabla thank me later. read more

Panda Llena is a hidden gem pushed back in a strip showing center. Quite possibly the best Mexican food in our area. Small, clean wirh friendly service. My wifes favorite here are the Chimichonga and mine being any Enchilada or Aground beef taco. The Tacos are packed for of flavor and juicy. read more

Second try at the restaurant. Nice staff. Bland food, doesn't seem like real Mexican food. Smallish portions not worth the money. Cannot recommend. read more

Fancy? No. Freshly prepared and delicious? Yes!!! This cozy little corner restaurant has been a staple of the neighborhood for years. I am usually there after weekday work hours when patrons are stopping in to soothe their nerves with a margarita and get a good meal. The margaritas are not those overly sweetened syrupy offerings from some places - - -but real, grownup cocktails. My favorite dish is the "Camarones Brochette", jumbo shrimp stuffed with jalapeno and monterey jack cheese and wrapped with bacon. Every food offering is homemade and served in generous portions. read more

Went there for lunch for the first time. It's a little restaurant with a bar. There are big screen tvs throughout the restaurant. You can dine in or carry out. I ordered salmon tacos with Mexican rice and beans. The rice and tacos were very tasty. I didn't eat the beans because I really don't eat beans. There was music playing the whole time which was nice. The environment was nice. There were a few tables occupied, but it wasn't busy. I would go back to them again. read more

Avoid this place. Ordered online for pickup and they gave it to someone from DoorDash. When I got there they made it seem like it was my fault and didn't want to fill the order. When I asked for a refund they refused. The ladies in the kitchen were rude. Les recomiendo que no vengan a este lugar. Ordene en línea para recoger en persona, y le entregan mi orden a alguien de DoorDash. Tuve que pedir que me dieran la orden y tenían una mala actitud. Después pedí un reembolso y se rehusaron. Nunca regresaré a este lugar. read more

Stopped in here for a beer during happy hour, ended up grabbing a bite. The beer selection is pretty typical but prices were good, and the food was great. Servers were all friendly and helpful. There a small bar area with big TVs. Definitely a place I'll be revisiting when I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Nasty service and overly loud music. Don't waste your time or money. The server was super nasty and unhelpful when I simply wanted to double-check what the nachos come with. The chips were very cold and the guacamole tasted old. read more

We live in calverton and come here at least once a week! We always come for stuffed jalapeños and margaritas during happy hour. They have the best red snapper and charcoal chicken! They also always remember your order. read more

CHECK YOUR CHECKS THEY ADD GRATUITY WITHOUT YOU KNOWING! ¡REVISA TUS CHEQUES, AÑADEN PROPINA SIN QUE LO SEPAS! THEY HAVE TO TELL YOU THEY ADD GRATUITY!! Check Your Checks! The Caribbean waitress literally added on gratuity for a table of two and she did not think that I was going to notice it and she didn't even tell us. TF... she really shouldn't have put gratuity on it because her tip was less than what we would have left her, but that's her own fault for prejudging us. We have been there many times and never had this happen when we get the Hispanic waitresses. NEVER! We used to work in the restaurant industry so we always try to tip nice. So we left zero dollars in the tip area because she already tipped herself which is so rude. I circled it and wrote "You already tipped yourself." So definitely make sure you re-check your check and ask questions!!! The waitress who has blonde hair is really nice and really cool she NEVER does this, but the Caribbean dark skinned one does. read more

I went for lunch at 11:30am and they had no charbroiled chicken ready nor did they have any steak ready to put on the grill. So I changed to chicken tacos. The only thing besides chicken and tortilla on the tacos was an excessive amount of onions and cilantro....no tomatoes, no cucumber, nothing. And for sauce all that was put in the bag was a mustard with mayo sauce. Worst tacos ever. BTW the chicken on the tacos was not seasoned and probably leftover chicken from the night before since they told me that they had no chicken ready . read more

The rudest restaurant and poorest service I have ever experienced in my life. It was 45 minutes late opening up and when we walked in they were just taking chairs off the tables. When we asked if we could sit down the waitress just glared at us. The music was blasting away so loudly we had to shout to speak to her. We asked her politely to lower the music and she again glared at us and said the workers in the back wanted it loud. Huh??? Needless to say we left the place pronto. I guess she knew nothing of customer service and basic good manners. Not a way to attract or keep customers. Never again! read more

Giving three stars because my past experiences have been good here, but the most recent experience was awful. Carne was cooked too long to the point it was burned to a crisp, ground beef tasted freezer burned, and they didn't use their normal cheese on enchiladas. Our waitress also inexplicably started ignoring us after taking our drink orders. Hopefully this was just a fluke and not indicative of a downward decline. Be aware they ALWAYS blast the music, so stay away if that bothers you. read more

Um. My experience may or may not be somewhat skewed by the fact that I'd downed a whole margarita before my real food arrived. It's a good thing I had a DD, because the second one definitely had me in a state unsafe to drive. Regardless, even before I was noticeably inebriated, the chips and salsa had me enjoying myself. Invited along as a tried and true sidekick for the South of the Border tour, the boy and I rolled up after Laura, MKS, and Martin had already put in an order for the queso and guac. Affordable, adequate quantities, but I don't know that I'd go out of my way to try them again. I think I prefer CalTort's queso, or the Shiner Bock stuff at Austin Grill. But my $10 shrimp fajitas? Whoa - what a steal! Succulent de-shelled shrimp that were pretty good sized, grilled onions and peppers, and a plate of fixin's including sour cream, guac, and lettuce. This is totally the way to do it! Per usual, I was pretty satisfied about halfway through my meal, but it was too good to not cram in the rest. My one complaint was that we're only provided with three itty bitty little tortilla wrappers for our fajitas. Even cramming these little starchy morsels of joy to bursting, I was left over with more shrimp and onions. It's kinda interesting that the menu explicitly states three (3) tortillas per order, too. Huh. This is one joint that's worth the haul over to the obscure strip mall that it's found in. As Patrick H already noted, Pansa Llena apparently means "Full Belly." Unless your name is Lester K, you'd be hard-pressed to leave here without one! read more

UPDATE-- Original review below. For whatever reason, Pansa Llena owner (same one- they have not been sold) has decided to hike prices 2-3 dollars per dish. Owner has added several new dishes, and seems to be trying to agressively move this storefront cafe upmarket. Problem with this is that he's priced the restaurant out of the local Latinos that used to come and eat authentic food.... I have to say that this is a huge mistake. He's losing a star for this. I mean, how would you like to go to one of your favorite restaurants, only to find you're paying at least half again, or even double your last visit? note that the restaurant is now pretty empty, too. Good luck with this ill-advised move. I hope they make it, but I think it's going to kill this restaurant. ORIGINAL REVIEW---I love going to a place like this. A small restaurant, not a chain, local fans of the place, and amazing food cooked just right. We've tried different things here, and have not been dissappointed. The waitresses are nice and friendly, but are also the people doing the take out orders- so don't be in a hurry when you eat here. Instead, enjoy the atmosphere. Not the decor, the atmosphere. Here there is a certain friendliness and acceptance, no matter if you're a Latino or not, and you're welcomed into an inexpensive paradise. Occasionally, there's a good soccer game on as well; lots to enjoy here. My favorite? Guacamole, carne asada, fish tacos. And, of course, the bottled Mexican Pepsis and Cokes.... read more

I wouldn't even wanna give h the is place a one star cause it's so so horrible the ladies are very rude and they wanted to make me pay a tip that I didn't agree to pay telling me it was "mandatory" like huh and were very racist and rude to I and my friends (we're black) but but the food was alright they gave us the wrong order too even when they know we didn't order that ‍‍ read more

Okay, I understand "good" customer service and the usual experience we expect at any restaurant. At Pansa Llena, the customer service is good but you'll have to get their attention for additional or continual service. We enjoyed our time there, so the service was just one factor to consider. Some of the perks include, any customer has the ability to play music using the Jukebox and it's a friendly environment. However, the female bartender's service strong drinks and the chicken mole is best in the area. Give this place a try. read more

Great stuffed jalapenos! Stuffed with pork and fried, they had a lot of heat balanced well by the sweet pork. We also had the tacos for $9 and $11 pork burrito, both of which we excellent. Clean bathrooms were a nice surprise as well. I was also very happy that the rice and beans that most entrees come with actually tasted like something I wanted to eat, as opposed to the canned stuff a lot of places try and fill up the plate with. The pork really is a star here though, and you can tell they take the time to cook it well before using it as an ingredient. And lets here it for a place that still give you a free basket of chip and salsa. The TVs had on nothing but sports, which was fine for a couple of guys but it would not make a good date night if you are looking for something quiet. read more

I love Panda Llena and would give it 5 Stars if only... The Owner STOPPED turning the Volume on the music SO LOUD that I can't even hear myself speak! My family and I would go there 3-4 times a week, but ever since the Owner cranked the volume to a point where it was IMPOSSIBLE to talk to my wife across the table without screaming at her, I stopped going - fill stop, we went from spending around $800-1000 a month on taking my family out to eat there, to a complete stop. The Food is always good. The drinks are always good. The Waitresses are always AMAZING! The Owner and his music...the sole reason why we stopped going. read more

I ordered the steak quesadilla, it was delicious, the chips and salsa are really good and so is the horchata But the service is horrible, at the end I ask the lady to bring the check and a to go box She brings the check no to go box, and when she comes back to pick up the check I ask her for the to go box again, she goes to have a seat at a table close to the bar and starts checking her phone Wasn't till I turned around that I think the manager came over and asked if I needed anything I give it three stars because of the service but food quality is good! read more

I literally do not give a crap about the rest of the menu. The Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas are the only thing I order here. The atmosphere is fine. The restrooms are fine. The music is usually in Spanish, I don't care. The TVs usually have a sports show going on, so what. The prices are just on the high side of reasonable, good. The bathrooms are serviceable, which is what I expect so they are meeting the standard there as well. Yay. If I am in this area for linch I'm having the Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas. Every word from here in out is for no other purpose than to get the little message bar at the bottom of the screen to go from "Sweet deets. Now put some mustard on that review!" to whatever it is that it says after that because I don't remember since the last review I wrote. Oh, there it is. "You wrote the pants off that review. We salute you." Thank you, now put your damn hand down and go eat a Shrimp and Crab Enchilada at Pansa Llena. It's delicious. read more

Undeniably is the quality of the food , specially the charcoal chicken. Unfortunately, the management has some flaws and they are fraud. Make sure to go into your financial statement to double check your purchases with them, because they overcharged your card without your consent and knowledge. I have been a victim of their fraudulent behavior. I have paid for half chicken and tips them , but I was sadly surprised to see that they took more money into my account than I paid for. Be careful with doing business with them and always double check your bank statement. Fraud fraud fraud fraud.... read more

It was probably a mistake ordering chicken wings at a Mexican/Latin American restaurant but I had a craving and they were on the HH menu, so I went for it. I also ordered a large margarita, also on HH for $5 but was disappointed to see the bartender pour it pre-mixed from a bottle rather than freshly prepared. If I ever go again will probably stick with the charcoal chicken and Mexican options. read more

Omg yum. Our car was getting tires put on at the Sears in the same plaza. So we figured we check out this local haunt. Our waiter was Kinda young and green. But he did a pretty good job. This place is pretty legit. We got the large margaritas and loved every sip. my husband got the charbroiled chicken and he said it was delicious. I got enchiladas and they were pretty good as well. The chips and salsa are also a hit. If I'm ever out in the area again, and want Latin food. This is definitely a place to stop. This place is reasonably price for the amount of food that you get. I would say the value is on point. read more

Aviso! Peligro! The 1 Star is for two employees wearing their masks as chinstraps on 1/10/22. One up front at a table near the counter, one in the far back-both women. The lady who served me was masked. I was having the chicken soup which is boiling and self-sanitizing. The soup itself is good-3.5 star, but complicated. It's served in a tall tub with a short spoon-the chicken is mostly on the bottom. Broth good, veggies good. The chicken appears hacked with a cleaver. Plenty of gristle and bone. I fish the chicken out onto a plate and eat it with knife and fork. read more

Ok so, looking through the window from the outside in I see a typical Mexican grill and bar, and walking in it seems to confirm my thoughts. And then ... I am greeted by the most endearing of service, and from the drink order to the menu item that I chose, the Mexican Burrito, oh my! Nothing less than Awesome!! The music is expected and very upbeat, but, really, I was here to experience a good meal, and that is exactly what I got!! Both my server and the bar barista were totally wonderful! Don't hesitate to step in and enjoy a very warm and delicious experience!! read more

It was okay. I've had better executed versions of this cuisine. I've had worse. It's a small strip mall restuarant-in a "sketchy" area. So consider that. I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here, but I would try it again if I were already in the area. The service is spotty-some of that may be "cultural". You get the same sort of thing in Europe-where compared to the constant checking on you that U.S. chain places give you- you are basically "left alone" and they come when you call them. The "latin" waitresses are a plus...if you get my drift. read more

Not the first time I order from them and my order always comes the same . I try to provide the support for the community but this place won't ever see my money again. I don't understand why is it hard to follow specials instruction orders. Then the languages barriers , nobody seems to know English there. Delivery guy also another fresh guy , as soon as my daughter opens the door the first thing to come out of his mouth was "very cute" why did he feel as though this is professional ? I thought it was inappropriate and very unprofessional of him not knowing she was a minor then what? My family will drive to another Mexican place next time we want Mexican food read more

I am here to RAVE about the beef Taquitos plate: Three Taquitos, cut in half, surrounding small mounds of sour-cream, guacamole, and pico-de-gallo on a bed of lettuce. The corn tortilla wrappers on the Taquitos were mysteriously fried to this delicious state of crispiness, yet still slightly flexible, with good corn flavor. The beef filling was warm, moist, flavorful, stringy, and some art was required to separate each bite from the remainder; pleasant eating! The Taquitos were my reason for being in the restaurant, and they were excellent, so on that consideration I am glad I visited. There were additional aspects to the visit, so let me proceed: My wife had the green-tomatillo salsa chicken enchilada platter with rice and beans. The rice and refried beans were unremarkable, but the chicken enchiladas with green-tomatillo salsa were a little disappointing. Plenty of flavorful shredded chicken wrapped in a corn tortilla, with a thin layer of melted cheddar on top of each enchilada. The enchiladas were soft, to the point of being wet, with a vinegar-like taste, but we did not see the green-tomatillo salsa on the plate. We also ordered the chile-con-queso with chips. The queso retained its smooth creamy texture for the entire meal, but the flavor was mostly pleasantly creamy and lacking bold cheese flavor. Credit to our waitress for immediately greeting us, taking drink orders, and bringing chips and salsa soon after our arrival. As others have observed, the place was dark, with loud music, and our waitress eventually seemed more attentive to a group of guys at the bar than to table service. I was so delighted with the beef Taquitos that I may well overlook the negatives and return for another adventure. read more
