Went there for lunch for the first time. It's a little restaurant with a bar. There are big screen tvs throughout the restaurant. You can dine in or carry out. I ordered salmon tacos with Mexican rice and beans. The rice and tacos were very tasty. I didn't eat the beans because I really don't eat beans. There was music playing the whole time which was nice. The environment was nice. There were a few tables occupied, but it wasn't busy. I would go back to them again.

We live in calverton and come here at least once a week! We always come for stuffed jalapeños and margaritas during happy hour. They have the best red snapper and charcoal chicken! They also always remember your order.

Here is another hole in a hole nice Mexican restaurant in MD. Located in white oak MD. Service is amazing, feels like you walked into your family gathering (warm people) Food is amazing. Had the fish (give steak a break) and they nailed it. nice and crispy.

Okay, I understand "good" customer service and the usual experience we expect at any restaurant. At Pansa Llena, the customer service is good but you'll have to get their attention for additional or continual service. We enjoyed our time there, so the service was just one factor to consider. Some of the perks include, any customer has the ability to play music using the Jukebox and it's a friendly environment. However, the female bartender's service strong drinks and the chicken mole is best in the area. Give this place a try.

Um. My experience may or may not be somewhat skewed by the fact that I'd downed a whole margarita before my real food arrived. It's a good thing I had a DD, because the second one definitely had me in a state unsafe to drive. Regardless, even before I was noticeably inebriated, the chips and salsa had me enjoying myself. Invited along as a tried and true sidekick for the South of the Border tour, the boy and I rolled up after Laura, MKS, and Martin had already put in an order for the queso and guac. Affordable, adequate quantities, but I don't know that I'd go out of my way to try them again. I think I prefer CalTort's queso, or the Shiner Bock stuff at Austin Grill. But my $10 shrimp fajitas? Whoa - what a steal! Succulent de-shelled shrimp that were pretty good sized, grilled onions and peppers, and a plate of fixin's including sour cream, guac, and lettuce. This is totally the way to do it! Per usual, I was pretty satisfied about halfway through my meal, but it was too good to not cram in the rest. My one complaint was that we're only provided with three itty bitty little tortilla wrappers for our fajitas. Even cramming these little starchy morsels of joy to bursting, I was left over with more shrimp and onions. It's kinda interesting that the menu explicitly states three (3) tortillas per order, too. Huh. This is one joint that's worth the haul over to the obscure strip mall that it's found in. As Patrick H already noted, Pansa Llena apparently means "Full Belly." Unless your name is Lester K, you'd be hard-pressed to leave here without one!

I would describe them as a combination of classic and elevated Latin food. The vibe of the restaurant is very casual, but the presentation of many of the dishes takes it to another level. They also have a wide selection of beer and wine. I have had tacos, octopus, breakfast tacos, and tamales. Everything was flavorful and quite tasty. I will admit service was a little slow the last time I went, but given the weather and the fact that we weren't in a rush it wasn't a big deal. If you haven't been yet, you should go. The colorful presentation reminds me of Palette 22, and rumor has it they are expanding to the Ethiopian restaurant that closed next door. I hope that's true!

Could work on those fried plantains as they were a little soggy. The quinoa salad was good, a bigger portion would have been nice for the price paid and maybe if it would be easier to eat if served in a bowl. The chorizo sandwich was okay. Presentation and bread could be better. We left curious about their regular menu so we may give it a try some other time. Their staff were nice but not very knowledgeable about their menu items. They didn't really know how to answer my question about their vegan tres leches and told me it was not actually vegan after indicating it had condensed milk and heavy cream.

This most recent visit was with a friend who was trying it for the first time, and he loved it. The food was delicious as always. He had the arroz con pollo (which I recommended), and I had the camarones al ajillo -- shrimp in garlic sauce with rice, salad, and plantains. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The bartenders were so pleasant and attentive. We sat at the bar, and even though it was crowded (which it usually is -- a good sign!), the service was still great. Now let's talk about the drinks because they were the real stars:    *   My friend had three mango margaritas and couldn't stop talking about how good they were.    *   I tried the cucumber jalapeño margarita -- you could literally smell the fresh cucumber as they made it. It did not hold back on the jalapeño! It had a real kick, but the flavor was amazing.    *   And the mojitos? Delicious. They use real sugarcane, and you can taste the freshness. Great vibes, great service, consistently amazing food and drinks. I will absolutely keep coming back and always recommend this place.

I ordered three chicken and cheese pupusas, and they were a great size. I was nearly full after the first two. The flavor was on point. My apologies for my photo because I was already halfway through my third pupusa before I remembered to snap a picture. I also tried the corn tamale, which my wife and I enjoyed a lot. On top of that, I ordered a steak taco, which unfortunately didn't make it into a picture either because I ate it too fast. What stood out to me was the "shell." Instead of the usual flour or corn tortilla, it uses the same masa dough as the pupusa, and I really enjoyed that difference. We finished our meal with the nuegados en miel dulce, something I had never tried before. I was glad I did because it was delicious and a great way to end the meal. Overall, the food and experience were excellent. If you are like me and rely on Yelp reviews to decide where to eat, I highly recommend giving La Casita Pupuseria & Market a visit. We were sat right away and I was surprised at how big the restaurant is (way bigger than it looks from the outside!). I started with a hibiscus margarita, which was delicious. Then we ordered a few things to split, including: guac and tostadas, charred cabbage, gorditas with chorizo, aguachile negro, and the beef short rib platter. The charred cabbage was the biggest sleeper hit. It was so flavorful and unlike anything I've ever had before. Everything else was delicious, although the aguachile was probably my least favorite of what we tried. We finished with the rose water tres leches and the dulce de leche crepes. The tres leches were pretty good but the crepes were amazing. I don't usually love dulce de leche, but it was definitely a standout.

If you are planning to visit during popular dining hours, it might be worth it to make a reservation. We arrived during a weekend around 5:30 pm, and the place was somewhat empty. However, by 6-6:15 pm, the place was PACKED. I was a very surprised (in a good way) that the menu was a bit smaller compared to other Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. I necessarily do not think the smaller menu is a bad thing because, with a smaller menu, a restaurant can focus on preparing everything well (i.e., it's easier to do a good job with 20-item menu versus a 50+-item menu). For my dining pleasure, I went with the enchiladas suizas with a few margaritas. Overall, I thought my plate was very delicious; however, other diners at my table and I noticed that the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. Perhaps, the restaurant uses higher quality ingredients for its dishes. Although the margarita sizes might appear to be small, they definitely are not "small" in power/punch, so the $13-$18 price range is appropriate. My favorite margarita of the night definitely was the El Jardinero, which was a wonderful mix of carrot, cilantro, peach, lime and a semi-spicy pepper of sorts. Collectively, we all thought the service was exceptional because our waitress constantly visited the table. Personally, I thought it was a bit overkill, but that's a very, very minor complaint based on my very, very personal preference.
