It was a little bit too much cheese for me, but I did enjoy it. I opted to save some for tomorrow. Also, I could've used some more lettuce and Pico de Gallo. The guacamole taco doesn't really work. We came Cinco de Mayo weekend to celebrate a friends birthday. We wanted to order a spicy margarita pitcher for the table and were told it was an option. Our server kindly informed us before it was made that it would cost $80+(!!) for the pitcher compared to the $40+ regular pitcher. In that moment we realized it was because the spicy margarita is made with Patron and there's no option to have it made with the regular tequila. We worked it out by instead getting $5 bowls of jalapeno sliced to toss into the regular margarita pitcher and it was perfect. Now onto the food. All of us enjoyed our meals. The nachos for the table were a hit and were a generous portion. My crab and spinach enchiladas were delicious. I'm glad I got them! Came here on a Saturday night and were immediate seated. It was a busy evening with a nice buzz in the air. As others have said, the service is excellent and food comes out fast. We got free chips and salsa. They were "ok" - nothing special. We got margaritas that came out STRONG. Not complaining, just noting. Two of us split the steak fajitas and we left satisfied. The steak was seasoned well and good. The sides included pinto beans, rice, guac, sour cream, tomatoes, and (buried) lettuce. The beans and rice were very plain and unseasoned but worked good enough when mixed with the rest of the toppings. Because our baby was getting fussy, we got flan to go, which they quickly got together for us. Was it the best food we've ever had? I ordered carry out at around 9 PM which is kind of late. I sometimes wonder how the food will come out of the kitchen that close to closing time. I ordered a chicken fajita. The service was fast and the folks were friendly there. When I got home and opened up the containers, I was very pleased at the presentation and the quantity and the taste. I don't know how some restaurants can make their chicken so tender. I suspect they salt brine it ahead of time, but I'm not sure. The chicken here was very tender and flavorful. This is obviously a very popular place, as it was packed on a Tuesday night. I'd heard really good things about it, however, I was disappointed. Service was great...no question. Amd the food came out about 5 minutes after it was ordered. I figured it came out that fast because they forgot to season it. My chicken fajitas were dry...very dry. Tasteless. The salsa was good, the guacamole was good...but that was about it. Very ordinary beans and rice. If it was just a little better I'd say it was "forgettable"...but it won't forget this. I have to say it's a great place to have a party and the service was good. We had about 20 people. The salsa and chips were served while we ordered drinks. The strawberry margarita was excellent. It was like a slushy. I ordered the seafood shrimp, scallops and mussels with rice and beans. It was flavorful. My friend ordered the steak fajita and the steak was like chewing gum. A year later, I came with another friend and sat inside this time. During my first visit my friend and I shared the Chicken Quesadilla, Queso Fundido, Taquitos, flan, and Cojeta. I also brought home a slice of Tres Leches for my husband. I recall liking everything, but my least favorite was the Taquitos. Today, my friend and I shared the Crab Quesadilla and Chicken and Steak Fajitas. We also filled up on the salsa and tortilla chips. I ate light as I had dinner plans so didn't want to overdo it. We both agreed that we liked the quesadilla and steak. The steak was flavorful and tender. The chicken was too dry. The tortilla chips were fresh and the salsa was great too. A few critiques from my (fussy) friend: -Booth seats were too low for her. -Music was a little too loud. She asked if they could lower the volume. -Lunch menu was not available. We recently had a delicious dinner at Sol Azteca. We tried the mezcal and the patron margaritas and they were ample sized and tasted great. The skirt steak (sorry I took one bite before taking a picture - same with the salmon) was delicious - tender and flavorful. The salmon, shrimp and scallops had a very tasty sauce and, as you see, the portion was large enough to have next day lunch from it too. The prices were pretty good - I would have guessed they would be about 10 percent higher. The service was good but once in a while we were wondering when we would see our sever again. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. Because it is located in a strip mall, you may need to park a little ways away. read more

Everything that I've eaten here. Which is a wide range, is wonderful! The food is incredibly phenomenal, with unique sauces, ingredients, and impeccable deliciousness. You get great quality meals of full plates. You'll leave here satisfied and so will your belly. You get what you pay for. To me, the cost of the food here is definitely reasonable. Slow your roll, Yelpers. I am at a total loss as to why so many of you are bashing this place. I've been here dozens of times over the past two years (including last night) and have only rarely had an issue (normally caused by bad wait staff). Let's get the obvious out of the way right here: This place serves *the best* Carne Asada in the DMV. The marinated meet is fabulous and always cooked perfectly to order (get it medium, trust me). My picky 11 year old loves it and she doesn't love anything but chocolate ice cream (did I mention there's an ice cream shop four doors down?). My other favorite is the Enchiladas De Mariscos which is simply a pocket of seafood heaven on top of a couple of flour tortillas. The shrimp and mussels are cooked perfectly and they sit in a wonderful Veracruz sauce (which they call "seafood sauce" so they can stop answering the question, "what's a veracruz sauce?"). The margaritas here are pretty damn tasty too but the mojitos have too much simple syrup (sorry, I'm a mojito snob and I know what it's supposed to taste like). Look...trust me...and ignore the haters. Try this place and the dishes I've mentioned and let me know. We celebrated a birthday at the restaurant in Olney on March 14, 2023. we sat down at 1:42pm and ordered drinks. we waited for another person to arrive after 2:00pm. were charged $2.99 for extra 3" mini salsa portions (and I guess for the tortilla.) They also charged $3.00 more for the Taco El Carbone because the food was ordered after 2:30pm (Per the waitress). The Regular menu shows $15.99 and they charged $18.99.
