Pork w/ rice & beans, at Sol Cafe in Torrington, CT.

I have come here a few times for lunch. Dominican food. Cuban sandwich was just OK, I've had better. Another time, I went with the pork w/ rice & beans -- a bit skimpy on the meat portion, but overall, it was also OK. Also, they never answer the phone, it seems impossible to place a takeout order at the Sol Cafe (I've tried several times). I have limited time for lunch breaks while working, so I would've patronized this business much more in the past if they would just answer the phone. A weak 3 Star rating. I recommend trying Latin Cravings in Bristol, they do a superior job preparing this type of cuisine.

I sent my daughter for tripe dinner $11.00 I received a container of gravy and bones no meat ( little scraps) to eat with the rice such a disappointment . Unfortunately I'm in litchfield woods for rehab otherwise it would've went back . Sol

Excellent service! Very friendly & attentive. Food was great! We aren't incredibly familiar with this cuisine so we tried a few different things. Everything was great! Drinks were good too!

I got the fried shrimp and fries and it's so so good! They also have some of the best guacamole ever. Only downside is the place is pretty small and there's not a lot of parking. They make really strong drinks too!!!! Which is good!!!!

I really like this place for many reasons. First, when it comes to quality vs quanity, usually quality rules out, but this place had both. There was soooooopo much food that we couldnt finish. I literally had dinner for the next day. Also, the service was great. The server was all over the place (meaning busy), but there when you needed them. All the food was good and I was pleased with everything

This is what we came across while driving through the little town of Morris, Connecticut. Penny Farthing Tea Room & Bakery is an adorable little British themed tea house. The best part? The three ladies running their business are all Brits! Alison, Clare and Deb are so welcoming and they come complete with their authentic British dialects. The inside is very small, homey and comfortable. There's so much British decor and delicate fine china everywhere. Their menu is broad with an assortment of tea of course, scones, sandwiches, soups and salads. I got the Rose Lemonade tea, with a scone. It came with a side of jam and cream. The presentation is stunning. Everything arrived on beautiful fine china, even the little dish for the honey. My friend also got their Chicken Salad Sandwich. I am so impressed, the scone was so fresh and tasty on its own, but adding that jam takes it to a new level. The tea was flavorful and rich. My friend also enjoyed her sandwich, I tried a bit, it was scrumptiously good. We had a lovely time at Penny Farthing Tea Room & Bakery, it is truly an experience to spend some time here.

We got the mango cardamom tea, which I was skeptical about but ended up being really good, and the lemon blueberry scones were legitimately excellent. Owner was super friendly and welcoming -- the kind of place where you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
