Our experiences this year have been pretty good, but not quite as good as we hoped. Their logistical arrangement over the summer has been different from the past. When you arrive now you order at a new covered bar (wine, beer, cocktails to a limited extent) area. You pay there, are given a number and find a seat where you will be served. Their dining tent is larger and better protected from the elements, and of course outside seating at tables is still available weather permitting. It's a great place for families where the kids can freely run around. But it's really all about the food, isn't it? And we've had some good and not-so good dishes at our visits this year. Their fish and chips remains a delicious treat: the fish crispy, the fries crunchy, we way we prefer. The tuna steaks, however, have been once overcooked and other times way undercooked and chewy. Our neighbors tell us their fried menu items are consistently better prepared. Guess we need to learn. Their menu offers lots of choices; we've enjoyed the fried shrimp previously but didn't try it lately.
