Garlic noodles
Kira N.

Loved their garlic noodles. Chicken was tender Would recommend to try them when in Maui or around

Garlic noodles with chicken yakitori
Sophia L.

We ordered on the tablet, the food came out within 10 mins. We ordered the garlic noodles with chicken yakitori, came out to $20ish. Usually any garlic noodles are oily, but not these! I love the little bits of fried garlic bits, added a different texture. The chicken was perfectly charred, juicy, and was delicious.

Soy-Garlic Noodles ($12) with Garlic Shrimp Skewer ($11)

I tried the Soy-Garlic Noodles ($12) with a Garlic Shrimp Skewer ($11) from Sokai Pacific Rim, located in the beautiful oasis of South Maui Gardens, and while the dish was enjoyable overall, it didn't quite live up to its name. First off, service was great--friendly staff and my food came out fast (about 6 minutes), which is perfect when you're grabbing a quick bite. The noodles were well-cooked with a solid savory flavor and good texture. Sesame seeds and green onions added a nice touch. However, the "soy-garlic" flavor leaned heavily toward soy--the garlic was very mild and honestly hard to detect, which made the dish feel a bit misleading. The garlic shrimp were juicy and cooked properly, but again, the garlic flavor didn't really come through. Also, $11 for just four shrimp feels a bit steep, even for Maui. Portion size was decent, but overall it felt like a good dish that didn't fully deliver on its advertised flavor.

This food was delicious! I am not a huge fan of ordering on the tablet just because I prefer having someone to ask questions to, but the people at the window were available if you caught them while they called ready orders. I got the garlic noodles and shrimp skewer. WOW! You can really taste the fresh garlic and seasonings and can tell it was cooked fresh on a nice hot wok. I did get garlic fatigue after a little, but it heats up well so leftovers are totally fine with me! My mom and sister didn't prefer the breadcrumbs, but I enjoyed the textural element. The gentleman working in the window was really kind as well! A great addition to south Maui gardens

Banana macadamia boba tea

Couldn't pass up the chance to get a refreshing boba tea. The banana macadamia and guava passion fruit were both refreshing!

Ribeye Skewer
Spence T.

Sokai Pacific Rim has one serious highlight - the Ribeye Skewer. Absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and honestly worth the higher price tag every single time. It was so good I had to go back and order it again - zero regrets. I also tried the boba, which was just okay. Not bad, but a bit underwhelming, especially compared to the food. Overall, a great spot with good food and some standout dishes - especially that Ribeye Skewer. I'd come back for that alone.

Garlic noodles with shrimp and classic boba

Garlic noodles with shrimp was sooooo good! Will be coming back for more :) They had a kiosk you order from, quick and easy. Boba was good, def trying other flavors next time.

Full view of our piping hot soup dumplings. They were delicious

We arrived early and James explained about the different bobas and types of milk you can choose from, we stepped up to the screen and placed r orders. We got 2 types of milk tea and 1 order of soup dumplings. After we tried each item they checked in with us to see how we liked our food and drinks. They were all delish. The dumpling dipping sauce sold the show tho.

watery boba
Lilian S.

Thought I'd try a very clean and sleek-looking food truck, but was severely disappointed by the watery boba. And when I say water - it's water, syrup, ice, and boba pearls. Terrible! If you want boba, go support local in town (I just happened to be in Kihei grabbing food). Street Market Boba, West Side Boba, and S7 are where you'll find actual delicious boba drinks.

Garlic Noodles and Soup Dumplings

I really enjoyed it and the owners were very sweet! I got the garlic noodles for $10 (really good portion!) and the soup dumplings along with a milk tea. Can't wait to try the skewers.

Garlic noodles with rib eye skewers
Shelby R.

The garlic noodles with the ribeye skewers hit the spot! The meat was tender, and the marinade was delicious. The noodles had great texture, and we're perfectly cooked. Plus it's such a cool looking food truck in an amazing garden. Must try!

I ordered the ube coconut boba, but unfortunately, the taste was terrible. After just one sip, I had to toss it in the trash.

In the back, you will find a food court with endless options, whether you grab what is already laid out or order fresh off the menu. I had the California roll twice, and the rice was so soft with a perfect rice-to-filling ratio, easily the best California roll I have ever had. I also tried the BBQ flatbread, which was pretty good. Ordering off the menu was also a great option. I got the fried rice and galbi, which came with sides and were all delicious. One thing my friend could not stop talking about was the poke, which was slightly on the spicier side but fresh, soft, and very tasty. This place has it all, and you really cannot go wrong. It might be a bit more on the expensive side depending on what you get, but it is pretty in line with the rest of Hawaii's pricing. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I only waited maybe less than 10 minutes after ordering. A lot of people take out since there's a few irritating flies and a couple small tables and chairs. The aunty that works there was so sweet and got me hoisin sauce and black pepper and told me to scoot my small table and chair to eat in the shade. I ordered a Mango Boba drink which reminded me of Guri Guri to be honest. (If you're visiting Maui and haven't had Guri Guri, go get yourself some asap!) I loved it. I usually get Honeydew but Mango was just as good! The Chicken Pho was delicious! They gave me a couple slices of jalapeños, bean sprouts, a small lemon wedge and a lot of Thai basil. I loved that yummy comforting broth with slices of white onions, green onions and shredded chicken. Perfect for Maui "winter weather" which is usually 60's-70's lol. If you're looking for a yummy Bahn Mi, I recommend the Chicken (or Tofu) Lemongrass sandwich on Crispy French bread or the Vermicelli noodles with Pork and Imperial Rolls. The menu is simple and straightforward, offering classic matcha drinks along with a few signature options. We tried the Honey Lavender and the Honey Cinnamon, and both were really good. The Honey Lavender stood out--it had a sweet, floral flavor that blended with the matcha in a way that oddly reminded me of Fruity Pebbles (in a good way!). The Honey Cinnamon was tasty too, though the cinnamon was a bit overpowering and took over most of the drink's flavor. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations, which made the experience even better. I'd definitely recommend anyone staying at the resort to give it a try and locals should stop by too if you're in the area and craving a solid matcha.

The kid got a brown sugar boba milk (20oz) and I got a Thai tea (16oz). All drinks come with boba. We requested 50% sweetness for both. Coming from Honolulu where we're spoilt for choice with a variety of bubble teas from and/or inspired by Taiwan, I was a little underwhelmed. IMO, the boba was unflavored and a touch mushy but the kid says his were sweet and chewy (?!) so he theorized my tea was sweet to begin with. On the other hand, he says the brown sugar syrup is not as intense as the ones he's had before. My Thai tea tasted Thai tea-ish. On hindsight I probably should have ordered the classic or Jasmine milk tea. (Also the Thai food truck next door offers Thai tea... ) Service was friendly and competent though. The young man rattled off their bestseller (avocado ice-blended), explained the difference between brown sugar milk tea and lava tea (lava tea is tea based), and what Milo dinosaur is. (I'm familiar with Milo dinosaur in Southeast Asia but am curious if it's the same here; sounds like it is). It's in a cute little compound with a few other "food trucks" and tented eating areas and a DJ? Parking is plentiful since it's basically at the edge of Maui Mall. We got there at around 3pm on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it was relatively quiet. 3.5 stars for me.
