    Taro coconut milk tea

Cashier was very nice when taking our order. She and another worker quickly made our drinks (matcha milk tea and taro coconut milk tea). Both drinks were very good! I preferred the taro coconut milk tea over the matcha. The taro coconut milk tea is pretty sweet, but that's how like it! The boba was very soft and tender, definitely the best I've had.

quick, yummy Boba option! I love coming here for a refreshing drink while i'm shopping or just in the area :)

Unfortunately, Maui doesn't have many choices when it comes to bubble tea locations. This is the third time we've had drinks here and this last time was a huge disappointment. Hokulani ordered the taro coconut "smoothie" with boba. Ummm...shouldn't it have been blended?!? It was extremely watery and tasted like terrible quality minimal powder. She took a few sips and said that she was done. I told her not to waste and she told me to take a sip. Yikes! Honestly, one of the worst "boba drinks" that I have personally tasted. I really hope Maui starts to get more and BETTER boba places soon.

I was craving a milk tea. Last one I had as on Oahu at Hana tea (yumm). I went to Made in Hope but they were closed. Bale doesn't have very good boba either (can tell it's instant kine). So, I came here. The staff was nice enough. Got my drink fast. But for $5.xx, it's a waste of my limited liquid intake: Watery, not creamy, devoid of sufficient flavor milk tea. I'm sad.

Order was wrong, I repeated myself 3 times and still got it wrong. I asked for mango jelly but instead they gave passion fruit jelly and that was for 2 of my drinks. Looking the photo, why does my honeydew banana has sugar in the bottom of the cup. I don't think it's supposed to be like that.

I love myself some boba. Stopped by the Queen Kaahumanu shopping ctr food court to get some and it didn't disappoint. They make their boba pearls fresh daily and the flavors of the smoothies were legit true to their fruit sources. Passion fruit was sweet and tart and the honeydew smoothie was just the right amount of sweetness. Solid boba experience, I would definitely stop by again.

Located inside the mall -- upstairs on the second floor in the food court. Drive around the mall until you see a Starbucks, that is the closest entrance that will lead you straight up to the food court. They have a lot of good flavors on the menu. I ordered the Jasmine Lychee Tea and my hubby ordered the Taro Coconut Milk Tea -- both drinks were pretty close to how the drinks are made at home (San Jose). In San Jose, we are boba snobs so we know good boba when we have it. This place has my vote on Maui. I've tried other places on the island and none can even begin competing with HiTea.

For a cafeteria boba place, they have the best, authentic flavor boba tea! I am super impressed, I love it so much that I came 4x the whole 5 days I was in Maui! Yes!! I highly recommend their jasmine honey tea with boba, super fragrant and right amount of sweet. I also tried their spicy ahi tuna poke, it's just OK, pretty spicy too! Located in second floor, turn left, cafeteria area. They take card!

This is my daughter's favorite place for boba drinks. It's located in the second floor of Kaahumanu Center and seems to be popular with the younger crowd. My honeydew had ample boba, but tasted a little light on the flavoring. They may have been busy, but I wanted my boba drink to me on the colder side on a hot day. Overall, the service was okay. Although they accept Apple Pay, I didn't notice any sign or logo. Lots of people ahead of me were pulling out their credit cards.

I gotta give it up to my Yelp buddy - Vince N. (aka Vikendios), as he knows da good kine grindz places! I was checking up on my Yelp friends when I noticed that Vince had posted some awesome pics of the bentos from HiTea! Quickly I booked marked this place, and the next time I had a chance to eat lunch while I was running around on Maui..........I made sure I had to check out this place called - HiTea. HiTea??? Doesn't that sound like one of them bubble tea kinda joints??? Why yes it is! If you're into that kinda thing, this place serves all type of them drinks. As for me...........I'm not into those kinda drinks, but if you sell yummy looking cheap bentos, sign me up bro! I'll will be there!!!! Where is HiTea located? If you ever get a chance to visit the Queen Ka'ahumanu Shopping Center, take the escalator up to the 2nd floor to the food court area, that is where you till find HiTea. I came by HiTea around 3:00 PM for a very late lunch this past week, and I had to cross my fingers in high hopes to see if I could score a bento! Lucky for me, the bento gods were looking out for me, as I not only scored a bento...............but I also got a discount on my bento too! Woo Hoo! Upon looking over the pre-made bentos, I decided to get a Garlic Chicken Roll bento ($7.25). What did I get in my bento? Well I got a huge Garlic Chicken Roll, with some pieces of breaded chicken that came with a packet of teri sauce. With my bento, I also got a small serving of veggies, & a little "jin dui" or mochi ball for dessert. Since I came here so late for lunch, I guess they had started to mark down their bentos, so I was lucky enough to get a 25% discount. Lucky yeah? What can I say about the bento? I would say............for what I paid, and what I got, it was a pretty good deal! Not only was the bento reasonably priced, but the food was actually not bad at all! Service - The people working at HiTea was friendly, as they greeted me when I walked up to their ordering counter. They processed my transaction quickly, so I was able to get out of there & eat right away. Parking - Since HiTea is located inside the Queen Ka'ahumanu Shopping Center Food Court, no need to worry about fighting for parking, as this shopping mall has tons of parking. Looking for a quick meal? Why not drop by HiTea for a drink, and a ono bento!

Hawaii's first Hi Tea location has moved spots in the Queen Kaahumanu Center Queen's Market Food Court, taking over the space vacated by McDonald's with a complete renovation. Their previous spot was formerly occupied by long-gone Bautista's Filipino Kitchen and the sorely missed Edo Japan, with a kitchen set up that probably didn't work for them as they serve mainly boba drinks and smoothies. But, they now serve bento lunches which prompts this updated review. I actually spotted food pics on Hi Tea's Ala Moana Yelp page. Excited, I jumped on the QKC location's page in which someone mentioned "bentos" in their review. Curious, I zoomed on in. As I approached the counter, it was lined with mixed bentos of all kinds and combinations - gyoza, musubi, yakisoba, garlic chicken, shrimp and teriyaki chicken, served only during the lunch hour. They looked similar to the ones at TJ's in Wailuku so I had to ask. Turns out they make all of their bentos in-house! Nice! Their Ala Moana location serves made-to-order foods, not bento plates. FOOD: Pork Yakisoba - $5.95 The portion size was very good for the price and definitely filled up my piggy belly. The noodles were subtly flavored but the slices of tender pork made up for it with bold & savory flavors, eliminating the need for shoyu. The only downfall were the stir fried onions which were too undercooked to my liking and very pungent. SERVICE: I was immediately greeted by a smiley and friendly gal. She took the time to explain their bento selections and that they're made in-house. OVERALL: I'm totally stoked that they're now serving food as it thankfully adds to the mall's limited selections.

The bubble tea was very watery and bland. The boba tasted burnt. Was not impressed and couldn't drink it. Wasted money.

Their food style is Filipino with a Hawaiian twist if you hadn't discerned it from their name. They have a build-your-own-combo grindz menu that you can pick a couple of proteins with rice options or check out the picture menu if you really don't know what to get. My wife went for the combo of Pork Adobo & Garlic Butter Shrimp with Mac & Green Salad, both very flavorful choices. Her friend went double pork action with Chinese Roast Pork Belly & Calamansi Grilled Pork Belly and Pancit Bihon Noodles as her side. The Chinese roast pork belly was as crispy good as any I've seen in any Chinatown. My Seafood Trio had a Miso Glazed Salmon Fillet, 3 Baked Mussels, 2 Shrimp Tempura and topped with Kaboyaki sauce & Thai Chili Aioli. The Shrimp were not the typical panko coated but battered and tasted good drizzled with the 2 sauces. The mussels are topped with a heavy cheesy mayo sauce and baked. Of course, it wouldn't be a Hawaiian plate lunch without a scoop of white rice and a scoop of mac salad. All this wasn't enough and our friend went back to chat with the chef and came back with a double serving of banana lumpia in crunchy spring roll wrap and drenched in heavy syrup. This was an excellent dessert and wrap up to a great lunch. We were so stuffed, we had to skip dinner!
