A simply unacceptable amount of beef in their "loaded" fries. Literally enough for a single bite. It's clear that they gave the very least amount they possibly could to pass it off as loaded and charge $15 for some fries with sauce and kimchi. The only explanation given was that they portion their meat to the same amount per order. Just because you serve this much to everyone doesn't justify the quantity given per dollar spent. Ambiance is so so but it's the service that gave us 3 out of 5 stars. The food was decent as we only eat halal and were excited however they sat us down after a long time which was expected since we had no reservation. But after seating us they didn't even acknowledge us for a long time till I had o wave staff down for a menu. Then they ignored us again for along time and finally took our order. Took a while for food to come but when it did they left out one dish till the last minute and didn't come check on us to see if we were enjoying or needed anything. I would not come back and dine in. Food is all around amazing, the wings especially (the sweet soy is my favorite) are some of the best I've had in Chicago. The fried rice was buttery and delicious, and so was the grilled eggplant, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. There's a great collection of soju available as well, and it's all very reasonably priced too. Service was superb as well, our server was very conscientious and accommodating. Amazing place for a meal, especially at night as they're open on the later end, but I imagine it would be a great place to eat while pregaming a night out too. Food was good but Jake the manager has horrible customer service. Charged me $25 for not showing up for my reservation even though his employee told me she canceled it cause I switched times. I then called and he told me that it's not his employees fault and it's my fault. He also claimed that I swore at his employee and I never did which is just wrong. Went for the AYCE and ordered several things on the menu. We were given 2 portions of rice MOUNTAIN HIGH. When we walked out of the restaurant, we saw another group with a bowl of rice barely popping out of the bowl - it was clear that they purposely gave us way larger portions so that we would have to pay extra amount for the food that we did not finish!! We went in for the first time today, and we have to say the service and the food is good (: We ordered the KFC, bulgogi and the kimchi dumplings and it was delicious. If you're paying $16-18 for a dish, would be nice to get at least $5 worth of gogi. The meat was tasty and banchan was also on point. A great Korean BBQ spot located right by the United Center!! I came here during the soft opening and was very satisfied with the short rib dinner box. You can choose from short rib, ribeye, pork belly, or chicken, and each box comes with rice and pickled veggies. You have to walk to the front and order right then and there as well as pay. The menu was super simple. We got the Feast and we chose all the beef products as well as the pork belly. I would definitely recommend the first two. The pork belly was just seasoned bacon (seems like it). & the beef brisket was super simple and wasn't as seasoned as well as the kalbi and bulgogi. The Military Stew was delicious. Although we waited awhile for the food, the boss(?) was super sweet about it. He apologized and even offered to give us free drinks. A fantastic place for Korean bbq and homemade kimchi on the West Side! We loved the Kalbi and Bulgogi platters. My favorite was their Kalbi which was fall off the bone perfection and beautifully marinated. The marinated bulgogi was delicious, but a bit salty to me. Service was friendly and quick. We had reservations for a party of 6. Food was awesome. We had everything on the menu that was halal. Chicken Wings, Spicy Chicken, Steak, and Brisket. Menu was a bit pricey for the portions, only reason why I gave it 4 stars. My 3 kids enjoyed themselves, where else can you get Halal Korean! Mild sauce wings simply did not taste good. I have eaten my share of chicken but both of these tasted like they were fried in funky, old oil. Ate part of one strip and one drumette. It's always empty when I walk by and now that I've tried and liked it, I'm paranoid it will go away in favor of the more popular places down the street in Fulton Market and Restaurant Row. Right now though on a Wednesday night, there's a good mix of people. I'm glad to have an Asian option near home. Here and Crave are my friendly go-to spots where I actually dine in instead of taking food home. ALL of their signature dishes were listed as out of stock, and when I asked, was told that they were not making them during Restaurant Week. I ordered their Korean fried chicken which was okay. However, when it was time to pay, I noticed that the price on the QR code was not the same as on the bill. The manager explained that they don't update the menus very often. Overall, the food and service and management of the place are not good enough to return. This was my third visit - first one was just after they opened, the second was during covid, so I came back to see if they had gotten their act together more recently. Solid Korean food in a unlikely and unassuming location. I would argue it's the best in the city for casual Korean fare. Everything is good. Beef is marinated well and so tender. Try the short rib. They have a new menu including more choices, so we tried the dolsot bibimbap and it was great. They also have vegan, vegetarian, and halal options. Kimchi is also vegetarian and delicious and not that stale old kimchi they feed you at BBQ places. We really enjoy the flavors of all the side dishes. We went for lunch on a snowy day. We were the only ones there. The food is delicious. We both ordered a variety of 3 tacos. It was a little on the expensive side and I wish there were some banchan that came with the meal but I guess it makes sense. I don't really think I'd call it a BBQ place in the traditional sense and I didn't really see any soju. But I'd probably go back.
