A win for Soirée Coffee Bar! I love a good coffee drink. The Billie Holiday (Dulce de Leche) was a dream! It was a warm and sweet treat for a midday break. The baristas were eager to answer my "first timer" questions. I thought it was great that they made me aware of their lunch menu and weekend brunch. Look forward to return visits.

I'm determined to try the food here one day, but unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure to eat at Soiree yet. The food menu looks delicious though. That said, I have gotten coffee here twice, and my drink and the service have been good both times. I've gotten a lavender vanilla iced latte with almond milk both times I've come. They have a lot of flavor options to choose from for beverages. I will say that the prices are a bit high though. My small sized drink was $7, which is more than Starbucks. The ambiance of Soiree is nice and they had live jazz on Saturday when I arrived at 2pm. I'd return for sure. I came on

Really nice Black owned spot to remote work, grab brunch with a friend or sit on the small patio and enjoy coffee or tea! It's counter service and there's plenty of free retail parking in the back! I came here for brunch with my sisters for a birthday lunch and this was the perfect choice! The food was super fresh and filling! We ordered the catfish Po' boy which came with a side of fries! Caesar salad with salmon and Alfredo pasta! For drinks we ordered the Miles Davis: a spiked latte with rum. I like it but the coffee flavor was a bit stronger than I liked. My siblings both got a "spiked" lemonade with (D'usse) that was incredible, perfectly sweetened, and blended! Everything was made fresh and service was pretty quick. It was also wonderful to meet the owner. He took the time to greet all customers which was so thoughtful! I'll be back when in the area. I LOVE that they have live music & a great brunch menu on the weekends! Highly recommend!!

Enjoyed coming here for brunch as it's been on my list to try for a while since the Brunchaholics partnership ended. I ordered fish and grits with a strawberry mimosa. It was really good. The fried fish might have been a little over seasoned/salty but still edible. The Gouda cheese grits were perfect. I love that there was live music on Sunday. I love the vibes inside. Our waitress was really nice.

4.2 out of 5. Black-owned gem We visited Soirée Coffee Bar during happy hour and enjoyed a great mix of great music, small bites and drinks. We ordered the fried zucchini fries, Southwest egg rolls, spinach dip, salmon fries, and the "What a wonderful Rita" cocktail. The standout of the visit was definitely the zucchini fries--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The Southwest egg rolls were tasty, the salmon bites were good, while the spinach dip was a bit too oily for our liking. The "WHAT A Wonderful Rita" lived up to its name--a refreshing and well-balanced cocktail that hit the spot. Take home message: a end of week happy hour vibe with solid food and drinks. We'll be back for those zucchini fries and another round of ritas!

I initially came here thinking I'd have the opportunity to enjoy their brunch menu. I went on a Monday morning to learn that brunch is revered for the weekend. Though I was a little upset by that, I did enjoy a really good caramel latte with almond milk! I spoke with the sweetness lady who was so patient. Definitely a nice establishment. I'll have to return the next time I'm in the city to try their brunch.

This place is so amazing I went to their weekend brunch two weekends in a row. The food is spectacular, made with quality ingredients, clean and delicious. The Rasta pasta is the star of the show. It's perfect. The oxtail, shrimp, chicken and waffles are all 10/10. The ambiance is nice. It's a very clean establishment and the service is excellent. The craft lattes and bar drinks are delicious as well. All positive here and I can't wait to go back

The cutest coffee shop! When I walked in, I literally said "Ooooo this is cuuuuuute!" I'm a true coffee lover so when I see a shop, I have to stop. We walked in to a beautiful mural of jazz musicians and a cozy couch. There is more than enough seating with the options of booths, tables and bar seating. There is also outdoor seating. The menu items are named after musicians and the entire shop has a jazz/blues theme. They serve food and the fish seemed to be the go to because while enjoying the shop, there were four different orders of fish brought out. I ordered a Billie Holiday and my husband had a Lena Horne. The Billie Holiday was okay but I tasted the Lena Horne and it was really good. The service was good in terms of what is expected. The background music was at a level where you could hear it and could have a conversation without screaming or talking loud. This place is perfect to study, have a quick meeting with a colleague, enjoy coffee with a friend or some alone time.

Meeting the Owners. They are both amazing people and have the dedication , hospitality , and love of running this amazing restaurant. Please make sure you speak with them. Clive is the cook and the mastermind behind the menu. LaFree handles the restaurant business ,and she is so hands on with staff it's amazing . Everyone there is amazing. The food !! Just a heads up make sure you have a reservation because there is not really open seating for walk ins not unless they have a cancellation or can squeeze you in. Also if you want to hear love Jazz music try to schedule your brunch around noon time. I can't wait to come back and try some different menu options

I went to Soiree for brunch for my 48th birthday. It was nice, the food was great! I had the shrimp and grits and my mom had fish and grits. The food was seasoned well, it came out piping hot, and the server was really nice. The ambiance was great because there was a live music singer there while we were eating. Nice artwork on the walls. I had a good time. The only thing is that it is small like a cafe, which it is. But the vibes and food were great.

Soirée is a charming coffee bar and restaurant located in Trinity Groves. Wasn't sure what to expect upon arrival but by the end of the meal, I had bought a bag of coffee beans and chatted up the owner. There was plenty of parking nearby and the wait to be seated wasn't long at all. Though, I'd recommend making a reservation rather than taking a chance on just walking in. The food was hot when it arrived and was well seasoned. I had the Billie Holiday latte which was amazing! There's a stage and it looked like they were setting up to begin live music just as we were leaving. I made my first latte using the beans I bought and they are of amazing quality! Definitely recommend checking out Soirée for your next group outing or solo. Forgot to mention there is plenty of bar and highboy seating.

My mom was visiting from the Bahamas and so I decided to take her to my favorite coffee shop brunch. We really enjoyed the food. It was always delicious, however, the volume of music is a little overbearing for the small space and so that's why today I gave it four out of five stars. We had a reservation and we were seated quickly however I do believe that they were understaffed because the attentiveness that we usually got we did not receive during this trip.

I love everything about this restaurant from the food, A1 service, music and overall aesthetic. My favorite thing I had was the honey lavender latte. My new go to for sure. I also had their specialty waffle and fried fish and grits. The latte was the star.

These and the calamari were wonderful and my husband and I split the steak frites with chimichurri. I especially appreciated the size of the menu- (no photos on it, green flag according to Gordon Ramsey) but also a good variety. Always shows they put a focus on quality into the select options they have. Above average service from our waiter Angel was also appreciated. They had run out of saltines to eat with my oysters, but offered a basket of fresh house made chips instead and I have to say- a creatively satisfying substitution. Honestly really great. The apps were the Aguachile which was the better of the two, and the other were the crab croquettes which were packed with crab but lacked in flavor. Of the entrees the blacked catfish was the better one. The only issue was the huge portion of mashed potatoes which were reminiscent of powered mash, but the catfish itself was outstanding. On the other side I've never had a lobster roll before but this genuinely has no flavor and has experienced some serious shrinkflation when compared to other pictures here on yelp of it. The fries were great though. The dessert also was nothing memorable and was a very basic bread pudding that could've been warmer. Overall, I was not impressed by Pesca as the reviews may have led me to believe, but it is still a solid place in trinity groves that deserves be more attention.

My fav drink of the night was my Match Mucho, never had anything like it, but it grew on me with each sip. These are not guzzling drinks, definitely sip and savor. I didn't like all of the drinks (couldn't get halfway through the Red Headed Oaxacan), but I like the variety and that my palate was challenged. Flavors of all the cocktails were complex with many layers. And the vibe of this place was adult, and low-key. Serious cocktail connoisseurs need to check this place out! No. But what has us coming back is their consistency and attention to detail. The space is gorgeous and each room brings a different vibe to the dining experience. We were sat in the darkest of the rooms that was very romantic, and thankfully the music wasn't too loud. When we were seated we found a frame on the table holding a message congratulations us on our anniversary, with our names included. It was very sweet! Our server was prompt, attentive, and very charming. She asked us questions about ourselves and also gave great recommendations throughout the night. The drinks were good! However, the Passionate Kiss started to taste very chemical forward the longer it sat (I'm a slow drinker) so I only finished half of it. Not sure if it was because of the print on the foam originally or what, but it wasn't pleasant. I got the scallops and loved them, especially since I was able to try their orzo with it that normally comes with the salmon instead. The scallops were tender and the flavor was rich and well balanced with the rest of the plate. My boyfriend loved his chops and devoured everything. He also got the Potatoes Au Gratin and couldn't get enough. They were very rich and had great flavor. I had previously seen reviews from others saying the potatoes and other dishes were bland but that was not our experience. The rolls were one of the best parts. I wish I could whip butter like that at home. Towards the end they brought us a couple of glasses of Prosecco to cheers with, and a complimentary dessert (the Samoa sundae). Unfortunately, the food didn't quite match the experience for us. To be fair, several friends highly recommended the restaurant and spoke very highly of the food, so this may have just been an off night. Still, first impressions matter. I ordered the salmon cooked medium, but it arrived slightly overcooked. My husband requested a medium steak, but it came out medium rare in the center while somehow being medium well on the outside. The meatballs felt like they were missing something flavor-wise, though the calamari was good. The sides -- mac and cheese and loaded mashed potatoes -- were also a bit underwhelming. My daughter's lobster pasta was just okay as well. On a positive note, the service was solid and the Old Hollywood cocktail was perfection. I'm open to giving Evelyn another try because the atmosphere really is beautiful, but my husband has officially retired from future visits.
