First and last time to order here. Missed an extra egg for $4.00 Onions left Also a questionable random plastic piece left in the broth As far as the chashu noodles, there was about 30% broth in the bowl

I stopped by Soho Ramen while in the area for business, looking for something warm and comforting. It's located inside the Riverside Food Lab, which is a fun concept space with all kinds of food options -- everything from poke to fried chicken to desserts. Prices lean a bit high for what you get, but that's pretty typical for a food hall environment. The vibe is mostly younger, with a heavy student crowd from UCR, so depending on the night it can get pretty lively (or downright rowdy) since they often run student discounts. As for Soho Ramen itself, I came in with fairly low expectations after seeing the mixed reviews, and the experience aligned with that. The food was... okay. Nothing terrible, nothing impressive -- just very standard, very generic ramen. If you're looking for a rich broth or something thoughtfully crafted, you won't find that level of depth here. It feels more like a quick, convenient option rather than a place that takes pride in elevating the dish. The staff also seemed a bit disengaged -- not rude, but very robotic in how they prepared orders. There wasn't much sense of care going into the food, just following the steps and moving on to the next bowl. It matched the overall "fast-casual" food hall vibe, but it does take away some of the warmth you hope for in a ramen shop. On the plus side, the ordering process is extremely easy. You don't need to talk to anyone -- just order through your phone or use their kiosk, grab a pager, and pick up your food when it's ready. If convenience is your priority, this place delivers on that. Overall, Soho Ramen fills the spot if you're hungry, nearby, and want something quick with zero fuss. But if you're expecting memorable ramen or a place that puts love into their bowls, there are better options outside the Food Lab.

Not sure how this place is still in business. Their food sucks and so does their service. I got the spicy chicken bento box. The chicken sucks and doesn't look appetizing. The whole box was mid. The miso soup lacked flavor. I regret coming here.

Came to Downtown Riverside to look at Christmas lights so we decided on the Food Lab since theres a variety of options being that its a food court. I was craving some rice so decided on Soho Ramen - huge mistake. Ordered our food and was given a pager. 30 minutes pass and the pager still hasnt gone off so my friend decided to check with the lady at the register. Turns out our food was just sitting there getting cold. Not only did she not apologize for the pager not going off when our food was ready, but she didnt acknowledge it at all. Zero accountability. Took our order only to find that my order was taken wrong and I was given a rice bowl completely different from what i wanted. Not only did they not apologize for the mistake, but they made me pay for the difference, wait even longer for the second time, all for me to get food poisoning and a terrible stomach ache. If i could give 0 stars, i would and I dont even like leaving bad reviews.

The service was horrible. Staff was rude. Food took over an hour and ten minutes and still was not delivered. I tried to get a refund after an hour they wouldn't give refund.

Honestly? The food was mid, got an order of "Chashu Pork Bowl" but it's in a plastic container. It's like I ordered rice with a side of chashu pork... it took more than 30 minutes to get our order... my friend finished his shawarma he ordered from the next door store, my other female friend ordered a shawarma plate, got her order, and finished it... waaaayyyy before we even got our order. And then it looked underwhelming when we got it. Also, my friend who ordered ramen wasn't satisfied either. Overall, would not go back to this establishment. I'm usually not that strict when it comes to my food, as long as the portion is the right amount. Both food and service was disappointing.

    Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box

We came to Riverside Food Lab hoping to try some new food. We came across SoHo Ramen and the first thing we saw was how ridiculous the price is. $19 for a salmon teriyaki bento box with barely anything in it. After we order it, what we get is so little. Tiny piece of salmon and low quality of food?? We were like ehh. After eating a few bites, we saw HAIR on the rice, we freaked out. We talked to the cashier and she only offered us to change the rice, bad customer service and they could've done more than just exchanging rice. The salmon also tastes nothing beyond salty. I rather get fast food than this and I wish I could give them a 0 star.

    Omni Ominpork Vegan ramen
    Crystal M.

I should've known better. The ramen restaurant in the food court that offer fried rice, bulgogi, etc. Why did I think the ramen would be great? Sigh. The Omni pork Vegan Ramen with black garlic was ooooookay. Nothing great but not terrible. Also, why was I given a fork & no chop sticks!?!

    Beef Bulgogi Bowl
    Alex W.

I think the bulgogi was over salted but made up for it with how much rice there was. Weird cuz that's more of a Chinese-style of cuisine even though bulgogi is Korean. Definitely fills you up.

I went today to try their ramen. It was super salty and the broth was also really thick. I took it back to exchange it for something else or get my money back. Three people were working, but no one was in the front to help. They were all in the back using their phones, which you are not supposed to when handling food. Finally, a guy came to me and he didn't know what to do, so he called another girl. The girl was going to refound me the money, but she decided to call her boss. The boss told her not to refund the money and fix my soup. He told her to add more water to dilute the broth. I found that extremely unprofessional and not a good way to handle business. I have pictures where you can see the employees too busy in the back using their phones. No wonder they don't have any business and they are only 2.2 on yelp.

From the moment we walked in, something felt off, and it quickly became clear the restaurant was significantly understaffed. We later learned the same person was acting as the cook, cashier, and server. It took over an hour for any food to begin coming out to our table, and even after nearly two hours, meals were still trickling out. I never received my food at all. What made this even more frustrating was that there was no clear way to communicate with staff. There was no cashier available, and we weren't able to let anyone know we wanted to cancel the order given how long it had been. My spouse ended up paying for a meal I never received. After waiting that long, I eventually had to leave without eating dinner at all. I came home and had a protein shake instead, which is not how anyone expects their night to go after going out to eat. To be fair, others in our party who did receive their food said it tasted very good, which makes this even more disappointing. I understand that this may have been an off night, but the lack of communication, excessive wait, and inability to resolve the issue made for a really poor experience. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Anyway... After perusing through the menu, which had quite a few blacked out items (black tape applied over the menu item) we both decided on the Tonkatsu Spicy Black Ramen Noodles as well a the Crispy Fried Rice appetizer... the appetizer was delivered but I had to request some small individual plates so that we could eat off of our own plate, rather than reaching over trying to share the same plate and making a mess on the table... no worries, small oversight (or so I thought at the time)... Next came the Ramen... Looked very appetizing, but again I had to get up and request a couple of soup spoons... went to dig in, and while the bottom of the bowl was warm, the broth itself was quite cold... after calling over the waitress and asking them to please reheat (even if they had to use the microwave)... the waitress took it back to the "open" kitchen and they used the microwave to reheat... The bowls were returned and as we started to eat, satisfied that the broth was indeed hot, we noticed a couple of items missing: the corn - no corn in the broth like it was described... in addition to that, no Wood Eared Mushrooms were in the broth either... the wood eared mushrooms set the "black" apart from the standard ramen and cost $.50 more per serving... when questioned about it, the hostess informed us that they didn't have any mushrooms... as a consolation, she offered us one of the "extra price" toppings in place if it... we opted for the tofu... a bowl of tofu pieces came out and although they appeared to have steam coming off of it, the tofu was cold as well... smh... The hostess returned them to to kitchen to be reheated... We received a 10% discount ($4.90 of of a $49 bill)... Not sure if they're going to make it with this level of service and food quality... Good Luck!

It's honestly funny how the "build your own combo ramen" lets you choose the exact same soup base, meat, noodles, and toppings for cheaper, while the pre-named ramen with literally the same ingredients costs way more. Same bowl, same toppings, same flavor -- just a different name and higher price tag. Maybe after this gets pointed out they'll fix it, or maybe not, but people should definitely watch what they're ordering. As for the ramen itself, it was just very average. The broth looked creamy, but the flavor was pretty flat and lacked depth. It tasted more salty than rich, and didn't have that slow-cooked tonkotsu flavor you expect from a good ramen spot. The chashu pork was decent visually but tasted dry around the edges and not very flavorful. Even the noodles and toppings felt basic and forgettable. The whole bowl looked better than it actually tasted. What confuses me the most is how insanely high the reviews are. Feels more like social media hype and inflated reviews than actual quality food.

Yoshioishi Sushi & Ramen had solid reviews, so we decided to pivot and give it a try. First impression: the menu is extensive. It's one of those places where you almost don't know where to start. The fan favorites are marked with a red flower, which helped narrow things down. We also asked our server for suggestions, which made it easier to navigate. We arrived just before 5pm and there was only one other table. We were told to sit anywhere we'd like. By the time we left, the restaurant was filling up and it seemed like there were quite a few regulars coming in. Here's what we tried: Salted edamame: Just average. A bit limp and not as crisp as I'm used to, so they didn't feel especially fresh. Gyoza: Really nice flavor and the dipping sauce was well balanced. These were solid. Yellowtail jalapeño sashimi: This was different in a good way. It had cilantro and a slightly sweeter sauce instead of the traditional garlic ponzu. Unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. Crispy chicken karaage: Slightly over fried but still flavorful. The dipping sauce helped. Crispy rice with spicy tuna: Just okay. One piece barely had tuna on top. Not bad, but not something I'd reorder. Cucumber salad: Served on a bed of iceberg lettuce, which surprised us, but the dressing had great flavor. This disappeared quickly. Nigiri: The salmon was incredibly fresh and one of the highlights. The albacore and toro came topped with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the salmon and albacore. The toro didn't quite melt in your mouth like we hoped. It was a bit chewy. Crazy Salmon Roll: Good flavor, but note that the salmon on the outside is fully cooked. We expected raw, so just something to keep in mind. Snow Mountain Roll: A fan favorite at the table. Great texture and flavor. Plain udon and plain ramen: Both were excellent. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. We definitely over ordered, but we left very full. One small detail for fellow tea lovers: I always look forward to hot tea at a Japanese restaurant, especially when it's served in a small pot you can refill at the table. Here it was hot water with a tea bag in a metal cup, which was too hot to comfortably hold, and there was no teapot provided. Not a deal breaker, but next time I'd probably skip the tea. Service was strong. In addition to our main server, two other team members checked in and refilled water regularly, which we appreciated. Overall, I'd call it a 3.5 if that were an option, so I'm landing at 3 stars. The food was decent, the atmosphere comfortable, and the service attentive. It didn't completely wow us, but we're glad we tried it.

Honestly most people know ramen expectations should be low when you order it as take out but i think they do a great job with how they package their takeout! I've tried their normal lemonade and their mango passionfruit sweet tea and personally i like their sweet tea more! The drink portion is nice and large! Definitely not overly sweet and it always hit with my ramen. I've tried most of their ramens, i like the fact that they have different style noodles. Personally i think their wavy noodles go better with the rich broths like the miso and the Tokyo style one (a mix of shoyu and tonkotsu ) and the straight noodles go god with their clear broth like the shoyu or the yuzu shio. I normally get their shoyu mostly because it gives me the least acid reflux, but that's nothing with their food it's just a health issue for me :( i would say my favorite is their Tokyo style broth. I think it has a nice balance of flavor and the wavy noodles just soak up that broth nicely. I've only had their appetizers on takeout so they're not super fresh, and not really a main stopper for me. The large is good but i wish it was a little bigger with the pieces. Sometimes they're just small and idk it feels like it's missing something. I got the opportunity to stop here yesterday after my tattoo, and the service was decent. Got seated quickly and my order taken quick as well. My food took a few minutes to be made but nothing crazy of a wait. Overall i had a good time, i do go on a Saturday around 7:30 pm so not sure if that matters. For take out i do recommend ordering min 30 minutes before pickup because i do feel like it can take a minute, but thats the nice part of take out that you can order in advance. I think for Eastvale/ norco ramen this place a nice broth and noodles. And it's not overly oily or salty :)
