    Spicy Veggie

After a game of mini golf, friends and I grabbed ramen in the evening. We had to wait for a little while on a Saturday evening to be seated. Service was still kind, immediate once we followed up after waiting perhaps a bit longer than needed. The ambiance inside was well lit, and there were plenty of slurping of noodles. The combination of meals offered are blessed. There is a window to view how the meals are prepared. You may see a flame erupt every now and then. I got a spicy veggie ramen. I really appreciate the variety of veggies used, and the soup was not heavy! It all paired well. God bless you all.

Phew feel like we just got off the plane from Japan lol. Ramen was DDDelishhhh. Thin noodle ramen is not usually our thangggg but this one really good. Pork and chicken cooked well. Oh shoot almost forgot about the gyoza. They were pretty tasty with a good spicy sauce. HOWEVER.......a reason why this place didn't get 5 stars is because the appetizer came out after the entrees. But other than that service good and atmosphere ok (World Cup was on but there was no TV in front of my face)

Went for Tuesday lunch and had a great experience. Prices were reasonable, and service was quick. I got the chicken karaage bowl with spicy aioli on the side--super flavorful and just spicy enough to make my nose run, so I added it sparingly. Also tried the Blaze broth--rich, spicy, and flavorful enough to make my nose water. The tofu had just the right texture, and the creamy broccolini was surprisingly rich and satisfying. Casual vibe, perfect for a quick and tasty meal.

Came here over the weekend for an early dinner. SERVICE - Seating was plentiful, and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was friendly and kind so it great service overall. FOOD Crunchy Roll - This was packed with flavor and tasted fresh. The rolls were huge, so the portion size was generous. Garlic Truffle Ramen - This had so much potential, but it fell flat. It wasn't bad but it just lacking in flavor. Karaage Bowl - Unfortunately, the chicken was drenched in sauce, which made it soggy instead of crispy. Overall, the food was just okay. Nothing stood out enough to make us want to come back.

Overall, this was a good experience, but there was one issue that kept it from being a full five stars. My friend and I both ordered ramen--she got the garlic ramen, and I ordered the Blaze ramen. Unfortunately, her noodles were very hard and stuck together, which really affected her appetite. We did let our server know, and while she mentioned bringing a little more noodles, nothing was ultimately done. At the time, my friend thought it was only a few pieces, but it turned out to be more than that. On the other hand, my Blaze ramen was great. The broth was flavorful and satisfying, and I had no complaints with my noodles. The only minor note on my dish was that the broccolini was a bit on the harder side, but everything else was really good.

Pork bowls and spicy chicken bun. All overly salted.

I've ordered Silverlake Ramen two times. The first time I ordered the chicken Karaage bowl and it was extremely salty. Gave it another shot months later getting pork bowls and a spicy chicken bun. I can confidently say the food here is overly salted, and this comes from someone who doesn't mind salt. The presentation on the food is nice but that's as far as it goes. I won't be back.

Absolutely disgusting! Trust me the ramen that you can make in a cup is 10x better and the service absolutely horrible to top it off. Everything is just slapped together here. I know real ramen I know mid ramen but this here is the worse! Chefs in the back clowning around and servers completely lazy! Yikes never again. I mean damn just a nasty fat piece of pork absurdly and 0 flavor!

This was second time eating at Silverlake. My first experience was pleasant enough and my friend was craving ramen. On a Thursday, we decided to do a little birthday celebration for her. We went up to the counter for assistance. The server asked how many and we were promptly seated and given menus. I had been worried it would be busy and we would have to wait but it wasn't. After looking over the menu, we decided go the appetizer + ramen combo. I got the blaze ramen with fried gyoza and my friend got the shoyu ramen with chicken Karage. We waited for a bit for our food. The server bought me my appetizer and ramen and my friend her ramen. Everything tasted good. After a while, we noticed that the server hadn't bought my friend's appetizer. We had to wait awhile for her to come to the dining area before we were able to say something. She hadn't heard that my friend had wanted the appetizer + ramen combo too so she added that to our check. After a bit, we got it. That was delicious. After we were full, my friend got a to go box for her ramen. According to my friend, the place was alright and she had better. I agree with her, it was fine.

Classic tonkotsu & Crispy Chicken Karaage

my favorite ramen place right now! I always go for the combo deal with the classic tonkotsu and the chicken karaage. It always tastes so good. I love the broth in the ramen & they genuinely have some of the best chicken karaage. My fiancé and I were so addicted that we were practically coming here once a week at one point. It can get packed sometimes but most of the time we get seated fairly quickly. :)

    Yummy!

These are popping up all over the place so I was intrigued to try. As far as Ramen goes, this is delicious. I got the shoyu on fire and my husband got a poke bowl. We also ordered edamame. I would definitely say this a great little lunch spot or a casual dinner spot. The restaurant was modern and very clean. Service was good. Check it out.

Came in today because I saw that this spot has a happy hour menu! I opted for a draft beer (Sapporo), the chicken karaage and a large spicy tuna bowl. Everything was delicious! The karaage chicken was a hit for me, it's cooked perfectly and the dipping sauce is so flavorful. The spicy tuna bowl was good. I added soy sauce and siracha to give it a little boost. I noticed at this location they seat you first and you order from the table which I like better compared to the chino location where you have to order at the counter first. It's a small space, trendy vibe and solid service.

The broth is so flavorful as well and has depth. I feel a lot of broths I've had lacked richness. I also feel like the toppings on the ramen are perfect; a ramen egg, kikurage mushroom, green onion, and the meat! The service has always been very friendly and I've never had a bad experience with any of the employees. The place itself is kept clean and I notice the workers cleaning off tables and other things as soon as they can. The restrooms are also very clean (big plus for me). The Fire Ramen had a nice kick without overpowering the other flavors. The only downsides were that our food took a little longer than expected to come out, and the dining room could have been cooler since it felt a bit warm inside. That said, the quality of the food made it worth the wait. We'd definitely come back for the ramen!

They didn't make us feel rushed at all and were really welcoming throughout the whole ordering process. The toppings bar was also really solid with a lot of options, and everything looked fresh and well stocked. I liked that you could customize your bowl however you wanted and still have everything pair well together. There have been times the staff seems high and blown out of their minds. Other times they are too busy chatting up with coworkers to acknowledge or provide even the basic decency of customer service. Then, more often than not you are treated almost as a bother. Due to the service here, I have stopped dining in and opt for calling a phone order to take out. On three separate occasions now, within the last 3 months, they have neglected the phones for orders. They would rather disconnect or turn off the phone completely to avoid any future orders. This comes as a surprise when in about 10 minutes of my first attempted call, I see a staff of four people, yet only one customer. I believe there was no excuse as to why they could not answer the phone. I confirmed they accept take out orders essentially until closing. I have always been mindful to not attempt to order within 30 minutes of them closing. The service here is appalling and truly diminishes their potential for how great the spot could be considering the food they have. Food on the other hand is a total opposite of the service, very flavorful and strong punch of spice at a level 3. My go to is the Wonton ramen with a miso base. Crispy rice is a great starter to share. The garlic ramen is also a great contender if you have a garlic craving. Open layout feels like a mom and pop shop. Overall pretty clean establishment. Occasional tweaker going in for the bathroom closer to the end of the night.

Yoshioishi Sushi & Ramen had solid reviews, so we decided to pivot and give it a try. First impression: the menu is extensive. It's one of those places where you almost don't know where to start. The fan favorites are marked with a red flower, which helped narrow things down. We also asked our server for suggestions, which made it easier to navigate. We arrived just before 5pm and there was only one other table. We were told to sit anywhere we'd like. By the time we left, the restaurant was filling up and it seemed like there were quite a few regulars coming in. Here's what we tried: Salted edamame: Just average. A bit limp and not as crisp as I'm used to, so they didn't feel especially fresh. Gyoza: Really nice flavor and the dipping sauce was well balanced. These were solid. Yellowtail jalapeño sashimi: This was different in a good way. It had cilantro and a slightly sweeter sauce instead of the traditional garlic ponzu. Unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. Crispy chicken karaage: Slightly over fried but still flavorful. The dipping sauce helped. Crispy rice with spicy tuna: Just okay. One piece barely had tuna on top. Not bad, but not something I'd reorder. Cucumber salad: Served on a bed of iceberg lettuce, which surprised us, but the dressing had great flavor. This disappeared quickly. Nigiri: The salmon was incredibly fresh and one of the highlights. The albacore and toro came topped with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the salmon and albacore. The toro didn't quite melt in your mouth like we hoped. It was a bit chewy. Crazy Salmon Roll: Good flavor, but note that the salmon on the outside is fully cooked. We expected raw, so just something to keep in mind. Snow Mountain Roll: A fan favorite at the table. Great texture and flavor. Plain udon and plain ramen: Both were excellent. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. We definitely over ordered, but we left very full. One small detail for fellow tea lovers: I always look forward to hot tea at a Japanese restaurant, especially when it's served in a small pot you can refill at the table. Here it was hot water with a tea bag in a metal cup, which was too hot to comfortably hold, and there was no teapot provided. Not a deal breaker, but next time I'd probably skip the tea. Service was strong. In addition to our main server, two other team members checked in and refilled water regularly, which we appreciated. Overall, I'd call it a 3.5 if that were an option, so I'm landing at 3 stars. The food was decent, the atmosphere comfortable, and the service attentive. It didn't completely wow us, but we're glad we tried it.
