    Chicken Karaage Bowl
    Daphne D.

Went for Tuesday lunch and had a great experience. Prices were reasonable, and service was quick. I got the chicken karaage bowl with spicy aioli on the side--super flavorful and just spicy enough to make my nose run, so I added it sparingly. Also tried the Blaze broth--rich, spicy, and flavorful enough to make my nose water. The tofu had just the right texture, and the creamy broccolini was surprisingly rich and satisfying. Casual vibe, perfect for a quick and tasty meal.

Came here over the weekend for an early dinner. SERVICE - Seating was plentiful, and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was friendly and kind so it great service overall. FOOD Crunchy Roll - This was packed with flavor and tasted fresh. The rolls were huge, so the portion size was generous. Garlic Truffle Ramen - This had so much potential, but it fell flat. It wasn't bad but it just lacking in flavor. Karaage Bowl - Unfortunately, the chicken was drenched in sauce, which made it soggy instead of crispy. Overall, the food was just okay. Nothing stood out enough to make us want to come back.

Pork bowls and spicy chicken bun. All overly salted.

I've ordered Silverlake Ramen two times. The first time I ordered the chicken Karaage bowl and it was extremely salty. Gave it another shot months later getting pork bowls and a spicy chicken bun. I can confidently say the food here is overly salted, and this comes from someone who doesn't mind salt. The presentation on the food is nice but that's as far as it goes. I won't be back.

This was second time eating at Silverlake. My first experience was pleasant enough and my friend was craving ramen. On a Thursday, we decided to do a little birthday celebration for her. We went up to the counter for assistance. The server asked how many and we were promptly seated and given menus. I had been worried it would be busy and we would have to wait but it wasn't. After looking over the menu, we decided go the appetizer + ramen combo. I got the blaze ramen with fried gyoza and my friend got the shoyu ramen with chicken Karage. We waited for a bit for our food. The server bought me my appetizer and ramen and my friend her ramen. Everything tasted good. After a while, we noticed that the server hadn't bought my friend's appetizer. We had to wait awhile for her to come to the dining area before we were able to say something. She hadn't heard that my friend had wanted the appetizer + ramen combo too so she added that to our check. After a bit, we got it. That was delicious. After we were full, my friend got a to go box for her ramen. According to my friend, the place was alright and she had better. I agree with her, it was fine.

Classic tonkotsu & Crispy Chicken Karaage

my favorite ramen place right now! I always go for the combo deal with the classic tonkotsu and the chicken karaage. It always tastes so good. I love the broth in the ramen & they genuinely have some of the best chicken karaage. My fiancé and I were so addicted that we were practically coming here once a week at one point. It can get packed sometimes but most of the time we get seated fairly quickly. :)

    Yummy!

These are popping up all over the place so I was intrigued to try. As far as Ramen goes, this is delicious. I got the shoyu on fire and my husband got a poke bowl. We also ordered edamame. I would definitely say this a great little lunch spot or a casual dinner spot. The restaurant was modern and very clean. Service was good. Check it out.

The food is still 5 star but had some issues today as I went on lunch and usually have no issues. This time is seems as if they don't have enough help for as popular as it has gotten. By the time we received our food we had to ask for the check and boxes to get back to work. One of our ramen orders had pork when it should have been chicken as the person who ordered cannot have pork. No time to have it fixed so she went without lunch today. Also they say if you sign up for the app you can get a free drink or a topping but the waitress Alexa who was amazing btw very attentive and apologetic even though nothing was her fault said they were unable to do it but when the manager was there she would speak to them if you know that your app isn't working with your system don't advertise it. Great food just a poor experience this time.

    Regular Crispy Chicken Karaage

Came in today because I saw that this spot has a happy hour menu! I opted for a draft beer (Sapporo), the chicken karaage and a large spicy tuna bowl. Everything was delicious! The karaage chicken was a hit for me, it's cooked perfectly and the dipping sauce is so flavorful. The spicy tuna bowl was good. I added soy sauce and siracha to give it a little boost. I noticed at this location they seat you first and you order from the table which I like better compared to the chino location where you have to order at the counter first. It's a small space, trendy vibe and solid service.

Came here for my first time yesterday as my brother really enjoys ramen and wanted some for his birthday. We didn't eat at the spot but did take it and they made sure the bags were strong and all that was needed was nicely placed in them. I had no worries of the soup and all spilling anywhere. I love spice and I got their blaze with extra spicy. For me it wasn't spicy at all but provided such a great flavor to the soup. So if you enjoy what heat brings to a meal for flavor I would get it. You could always ask for the extra spice on the side if needed. My brother loves their gyoza and I tried their pork buns. Definitely would come to for their happy hour to get that 3 for $10 on those buns and that beer. Great music was playing as well. Definitely gives you the feels to want to do something fun afterwards.

I got the classic. The goods without the broth

We almost always order the pad Thai, and I'm normally the volcanic ramen guy, but since it was Valentine's Day, I went with the falling ramen instead. Still full of flavor, just without the spice level trying to prove a point. We actually showed up about an hour before our reservation, which was already early for Valentine's dinner. The moment I told Lily the reservation was under Jacqueline, she lit up and said, "Oh, she's my favorite," and sat us right away. That's the kind of place this is. Service over the past year can be quick or a little slower depending on the night, but we never feel rushed, and that relaxed pace is part of why we like it. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, and they do a great job with allergy-friendly options. There's a gluten-free menu, and peanuts only show up if you request them. From the moment we walked in, something felt off, and it quickly became clear the restaurant was significantly understaffed. We later learned the same person was acting as the cook, cashier, and server. It took over an hour for any food to begin coming out to our table, and even after nearly two hours, meals were still trickling out. I never received my food at all. What made this even more frustrating was that there was no clear way to communicate with staff. There was no cashier available, and we weren't able to let anyone know we wanted to cancel the order given how long it had been. My spouse ended up paying for a meal I never received. After waiting that long, I eventually had to leave without eating dinner at all. I came home and had a protein shake instead, which is not how anyone expects their night to go after going out to eat. To be fair, others in our party who did receive their food said it tasted very good, which makes this even more disappointing. I understand that this may have been an off night, but the lack of communication, excessive wait, and inability to resolve the issue made for a really poor experience. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Next came the Ramen... Looked very appetizing, but again I had to get up and request a couple of soup spoons... went to dig in, and while the bottom of the bowl was warm, the broth itself was quite cold... after calling over the waitress and asking them to please reheat (even if they had to use the microwave)... the waitress took it back to the "open" kitchen and they used the microwave to reheat... The bowls were returned and as we started to eat, satisfied that the broth was indeed hot, we noticed a couple of items missing: the corn - no corn in the broth like it was described... in addition to that, no Wood Eared Mushrooms were in the broth either... the wood eared mushrooms set the "black" apart from the standard ramen and cost $.50 more per serving... when questioned about it, the hostess informed us that they didn't have any mushrooms... as a consolation, she offered us one of the "extra price" toppings in place if it... we opted for the tofu... a bowl of tofu pieces came out and although they appeared to have steam coming off of it, the tofu was cold as well... smh... The hostess returned them to to kitchen to be reheated... We received a 10% discount ($4.90 of of a $49 bill)... Not sure if they're going to make it with this level of service and food quality... Yoshioishi Sushi & Ramen had solid reviews, so we decided to pivot and give it a try. First impression: the menu is extensive. It's one of those places where you almost don't know where to start. The fan favorites are marked with a red flower, which helped narrow things down. We also asked our server for suggestions, which made it easier to navigate. We arrived just before 5pm and there was only one other table. We were told to sit anywhere we'd like. By the time we left, the restaurant was filling up and it seemed like there were quite a few regulars coming in. Here's what we tried: Salted edamame: Just average. A bit limp and not as crisp as I'm used to, so they didn't feel especially fresh. Gyoza: Really nice flavor and the dipping sauce was well balanced. These were solid. Yellowtail jalapeño sashimi: This was different in a good way. It had cilantro and a slightly sweeter sauce instead of the traditional garlic ponzu. Unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. Crispy chicken karaage: Slightly over fried but still flavorful. The dipping sauce helped. Crispy rice with spicy tuna: Just okay. One piece barely had tuna on top. Not bad, but not something I'd reorder. Cucumber salad: Served on a bed of iceberg lettuce, which surprised us, but the dressing had great flavor. This disappeared quickly. Nigiri: The salmon was incredibly fresh and one of the highlights. The albacore and toro came topped with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the salmon and albacore. The toro didn't quite melt in your mouth like we hoped. It was a bit chewy. Crazy Salmon Roll: Good flavor, but note that the salmon on the outside is fully cooked. We expected raw, so just something to keep in mind. Snow Mountain Roll: A fan favorite at the table. Great texture and flavor. Plain udon and plain ramen: Both were excellent. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. We definitely over ordered, but we left very full. One small detail for fellow tea lovers: I always look forward to hot tea at a Japanese restaurant, especially when it's served in a small pot you can refill at the table. Here it was hot water with a tea bag in a metal cup, which was too hot to comfortably hold, and there was no teapot provided. Not a deal breaker, but next time I'd probably skip the tea. Service was strong. In addition to our main server, two other team members checked in and refilled water regularly, which we appreciated. Overall, I'd call it a 3.5 if that were an option, so I'm landing at 3 stars. The food was decent, the atmosphere comfortable, and the service attentive. It didn't completely wow us, but we're glad we tried it.

Honestly most people know ramen expectations should be low when you order it as take out but i think they do a great job with how they package their takeout! I've tried their normal lemonade and their mango passionfruit sweet tea and personally i like their sweet tea more! The drink portion is nice and large! Definitely not overly sweet and it always hit with my ramen. I've tried most of their ramens, i like the fact that they have different style noodles. Personally i think their wavy noodles go better with the rich broths like the miso and the Tokyo style one (a mix of shoyu and tonkotsu ) and the straight noodles go god with their clear broth like the shoyu or the yuzu shio. I normally get their shoyu mostly because it gives me the least acid reflux, but that's nothing with their food it's just a health issue for me :( i would say my favorite is their Tokyo style broth. I think it has a nice balance of flavor and the wavy noodles just soak up that broth nicely. I've only had their appetizers on takeout so they're not super fresh, and not really a main stopper for me. The large is good but i wish it was a little bigger with the pieces. Sometimes they're just small and idk it feels like it's missing something. I got the opportunity to stop here yesterday after my tattoo, and the service was decent. Got seated quickly and my order taken quick as well. My food took a few minutes to be made but nothing crazy of a wait. Overall i had a good time, i do go on a Saturday around 7:30 pm so not sure if that matters. For take out i do recommend ordering min 30 minutes before pickup because i do feel like it can take a minute, but thats the nice part of take out that you can order in advance. I think for Eastvale/ norco ramen this place a nice broth and noodles. And it's not overly oily or salty :)
