Visited 7/12/2025 I recently visited Soho Cigar Bar, and overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The decor has that classic lounge feel. Almost felt like a gangster movie vibe without the violence obviously. This is only the second cigar lounge I've tried in Manhattan, and while I found the drink prices a bit on the high side, that's pretty standard for the area. The cigar selection definitely makes it worth a visit. That said, the service left a lot to be desired. It was difficult to flag down any of the servers, and when I looked over at the bar, it seemed like the staff were more focused on arguing with each other and hanging out than checking on tables. It just took away from what could have been a top-tier experience. Still, I'd come back again.. hopefully on a night when the team is more focused. The vibe alone makes it worth another shot.

Very cool laid back cigar bar. The atmosphere is very chilled and relaxed. You can take your cigars or purchase there. There is a cutting fee however it's waived if you spend ovr $XX. The drink selection is very impressive. I suggest ride sharing so you can try a few. I did a couple of whiskey flights and the pours was decent. The staff is nice and was somewhat on point. Being there on a Monday night football game could have kept them busy. Definitely would go back!

We went there to celebrate my friend birthday day and it was nothing short of a good time. Reservations was made for 11:30pm, running a little late we called to let them know and they accommodated us. Dim lighting, typical parlor aesthetic with comfy chairs and decor From the moment we walked in the hostess, bartenders and servers greeted us. We had Tamera as our table server and she was incredible, well informed on the cigars and what pairs well with them and how to smoke them. It's was a great time and we will definitely be back.

Even if you aren't a smoker this place has something for everyone. The ciders are very good and they do have a small appetizer menu. Now if you can eat and drink in a Smokey room then you will have non problems but this is the kind of atmosphere this is. We came on a Saturday evening and had about a 10 min wait but they were turning tables pretty quickly.

I didn't take enough photos but I need another excuse to come back here! It is such a vybe! I love the menu pairings. The options. The service. It is cozy and comfy. Whether you are an expert or a novice . You will find something here that you love or they will find it for you lol

My first Cigar lounge experience. Very laid back. They have a great drink selection and great cigar options too! They have pairings on their menu to help people pick which is super helpful! They are open late and I never felt rushed at any point!

I am admittedly a Cigar fraud. I frequently smoke them, but I really don't know much about them when it comes down to it. Aside from the trite alpha male connotation, cigar culture has always fascinated me. Just a couple of people sitting around enjoying the moment, talking about anything and everything while enjoying a stogie. That's rad. Anyways, my buddy who does love cigars and knows I dabble sent me this place and it looked like an old school lounge so I decided to check it out. When I walk in, I am immediately struck as this is EXACTLY the vibe I want when I think of a Cigar lounge from the 1950's. I began scanning the place for Frank the Tank & the rest of the Rat Pack. The server, Ayla, greeted me and handed me a menu. After a few minutes of acting like I knew what I was reading, she approached me and asked what I would like. With my tail between my legs, I told her how I was a phony and needed some help deciding, but I wanted a cigar that would put me on my ass. With a beaming smile she responded "no problem" and began patiently explaining the menu to me like I was a 5 year old if a 5 year old could smoke. We decided on the Candela and it was just what I was looking for. Put me on my ass. GREAT CALL AYLA! I opted not to get a drink as I have been on a bit of a bender, even though that Gatsby's Downfall was looking at me crraaaazzyyyyyyy. I paired the cigar with a cup of black coffee. Exaltation. All in all, I sat there for about 2 and a half hours enjoying the cigar, reading a bit (yeah I'm cultured af), writing this review, and just taking in the atmosphere. The crowd in here was fascinating. I will be a regular here hehe.

    Great house cigars!!!

A great cigar lounge. If you're looking for an uppity spot with over the top prices then this place ain't it. If you're looking for a chill spot with good drinks, good sticks, great customer service and a dope environment - you've found it!! A nice walk from my hotel at nearly 10p and I found this place. Amazing in house stick and a delicious drink to wash it down. I never felt rushed, I never felt ignored and the atmosphere was great!! I highly recommend SoHo Cigar Bar and will definitely be back!!!

    Brennan S.

The staff was great, and it's a vibe inside. Probably the coolest lighter I've ever seen, and the cigar itself was great.

I'm sharing this review while smoking the cigar that was carefully selected by the beautiful Nico and also brought out to me while sitting in traffic. If that isn't an exceptional service, I don't know what is. I would not recommend this gesture unless traffic was at a standstill, I wouldn't want to put any other staff in danger. I'm enjoying this cigar that was brought out to me and if I'm ever stuck in traffic like this again... I know they'll take care of me.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.

It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience. Later that night, another friend became available to join but, because they do not actually have a phone that takes calls (only offers an announcement to go to Resy or email) adding another person was not at all easy. I would have had to cancel and rebook and wasn't sure I'd be able to (reservation was for a Saturday night) In most places, a table for 3 easily accommodates 4. But not here. When two of us arrived, they made it clear this was a big problem. I would have walked out right then but I would have been charged $90! We decided to stay and make the best of it, which was a challenge. For a speakeasy, the vibe was aggressive, not relaxing. Very loud music and not great acoustics.) Too cramped to be comfortable, proving that small does not necessarily mean cozy! We asked if we could take a chair from the table next to us, which was empty (it was only 6 pm; I told our server we'd be gone by 7 because my friend, the birthday girl, had to catch a show.) We were told No! To say the waiter was cold, unfriendly, and indifferent is generous. He was totally rude. He literally told my friend she couldn't sit in a chair that was otherwise empty, knowing we'd be leaving momentarily. Then he had the gail to hand me the bill with a 22% tip pre-selected...and watched over me while I signed it! Definitely the least satisfying $100 I have ever spent. Disappointing. It was good to see my friends, but I so wish I hadn't picked this place. Never again.
